Arunachal Pradesh, young hearts Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram & Tripura. The overall objective of the project is to promote bamboo as a sustainable resource and generate green jobs. The action is designed to help local community & other stakeholders collaborate for the promotion of green economy, sustainable growth, economic prosperity & poverty reduction in India along with mitigation of climate change. NAV KADAM PAGE 2 SWAVALAMBAN JANUARY 1, 2020 / / WEDNESDAY / / 1ST EDITION KADAM Jagriti Yatra We have partnered with Jagriti Sewa Sansthan to conduct Jagriti Yatra, a 15- day entrepreneurial journey covering major locations of the country. Jagriti Yatra is a 15-day long train journey that covers 8000 kilometers across the length and breadth of India to help the youth understand and build the India of smaller towns and villages through enterprise. Through participation, we shall learn and unlearn by knowledge sharing opportunity. Interaction with the budding Swavalambis, mentors, MSEs as well as the shining young minds shall be undertaken. This will also enable us to spread the message of Swavalamban through the length and breadth of the country. State Outreach Program for Strengthening MSME Eco System To strengthen MSME ecosystem, outreach programs are being organized in 10 states on pilot basis. The main objectives of the Outreach programs are: a) Promoting Digital Platforms: Sensitizing the MSME stakeholders Collaborating with State Governments to get MSME units from the State onto digital platforms such as PSBLoansIn59Minutes, Stock Exchange listing, e-commerce platforms, etc. b) Helping state governments in designing MSME aligned schemes: Sensitizing state machinery and MSME stakeholder upon designing or operating schemes for equity support, interest subvention, resolution of stressed MSMEs, learning events for MSME entrepreneurs including field visits to well performing clusters, etc. “Till now, 8 outreach programs have already been conducted in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Rajasthan and Kerala with a total participation of about 2000 stakeholders from MSME ecosystem, including respective state government officials.” PAGE 3 SWAVALAMBAN JANUARY 1, 2020 / / WEDNESDAY / / 1ST EDITION KADAM Udyam Sangyan – Exposure Visits Bank has launched Udyam Sangyan initiative with an intent to make MSE understand the working environment of medium and large- scale units in their sector which shall motivate them to scale up their enterprises. One of the objectives of this initiative is also to help them broaden their horizon, think big, expand through cross learning and develop linkages. “Twenty Four such visits were organized during FY19 across the country wherein about 660 MSEs participated. The initiative was appreciated by all the participants and as per the feedback received, it has imparted valuable learning to them and has widened their thinking horizons. Udyam Sangyan is being carried out in the current FY and till now12 exposure visits touching about 300 MSEs have been organized.” Swavalamban Connect Kendra The major objective of the initiative is to strengthen Mission Swavalamban by moving from the stage of awareness to enterprise setting as well as scaling through interventions like conversion of calls into informed leads, mapping gaps for suitable engagement, handholding for enterprise setting up, credit linkage etc. The Bank has initiated the process of setting up of 10000+ enterprises in 100 districts of 5 states viz. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha & Telangana through 100 Swavalamban Connect Kendras to be completed within a period of 2 years. Through this initiative, the target is to set up over 7000+ new enterprises / livelihoods and step-up / scale up over 3000+ existing enterprises / livelihoods. Phase 1 of Swavalamban Connect Kendras has commenced in 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh. 35 NGO have been partnered by the agency associated with the mission. These SCKs will create awareness, identify prospective entrepreneurs/business aspirants, nurture & guide them, strengthen their business plans, arrange for skill training as required, develop localized project profiles, provide credit connect, arrange focused group discussions amongst stakeholders including bankers and extend handholding support in their entrepreneurial journey by leveraging existing schemes. “Till now 5500 IVRS callers have approached regarding the initiative through the toll-free number, out of which 1630 callers have been assigned to concerned SCKs for further assistance. Basic profiling for 330 aspirants & advanced profiling of 250 aspirants have already been done”.
