The Joslyn Center Enriching Lives and Our Community The Joslyn Center has been serving Palm Desert and its neighboring cities for 38 years, but many people do not know about the vital role that this invaluable local institution plays in our community. Ford Chapter of Mensch Foundation International will hold its 10th annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, January 28, at 1 p.m. at Palm Desert’s Civic Center Park. More than a decade ago, the United Nations General Assembly designated Dates to Remember International Holocaust Remembrance Day as an annual day set aside to New Year’s Day remember the Holocaust’s many victims, celebrate those who survived, and January 1 remind the world to never forget what happened. The official date, January 27, coincides with the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.
