Media Release of 18 August 2019 MEDIA RELEASE MEDIA ADVISORY: 2019 WORLD ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS, LINZ-OTTENSHEIM (AUT) Lausanne, 18 August 2019 The World Rowing Federation, FISA, wishes to advise international media about the information available for the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz-Otendheim, Austria. This is the most important event of the 2019 season, not only as the event that will crown the 2019 World Champions, but also because it combines to be the main qualification regatta for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games. It takes place from 25 August to 1 September 2019. The media guide is now available here. It includes a Who to Watch for all boat classes, media information, a review of the season so far, many useful statistics from all major regattas and the current World Best Times. The World Rowing website, www.worldrowing.com will be the main channel containing: - Live video streaming of all races - Entries, results, and related files - Race reports - Live race tracker - Audio commentary - Photos - Live blog Live video coverage will be available on the World Rowing website for the entire eight days of the regatta starting at 09:30 CET on 25 August 2019. Nel giorno del suo 27mo compleanno Cernobbio ricorda il suo campione di canottaggio dedicandogli l’area verde all’ingresso del paese in cui sorgono le strutture sportive del Palazzetto dello Sport e della Sala Vasca Voga con l’attrezzata area fitness open air, l’Istituto Comprensivo, l’infopoint e il Bistrot Anagramma. La deliberazione di Giunta, come previsto dalla normativa, sarà trasmessa al Prefetto insieme al curriculum vitae del giovane atleta per il rilascio dell’autorizzazione. “Noi che abbiamo conosciuto di persona Filippo – precisa il sindaco Matteo Monti – non lo dimenticheremo. Con questa iniziativa, la comunità di Cernobbio desidera mantenere affettuosamente vivo il suo ricordo, soprattutto tra le nuove generazioni, che frequentano e frequenteranno l’area a lui intitolata. Filippo Mondelli ha onorato Cernobbio con i suoi straordinari meriti sportivi, conquistati grazie al duro lavoro degli allenamenti e alla sua grinta nel realizzare gli obiettivi prefissati, conservando, nonostante il successo mondiale, la freschezza del suo entusiasmo e la sua innata gentilezza.
