I’m excited to be back for my fourth year as the event manager of this show. One of the biggest things you probably noticed about the show this year was its brand new weekend which now overlaps Father’s Day. So, before we go any further, happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! They used the front- wheel-drive setup from the Toronado and placed it in 1968 Fouranado 1973 Oldsmobile Hurst 1984 Oldsmobile Hurst Fred Mandrick a 4-4-2. It was dubbed the William and Darlene Myers Jack Hooks “Fouranado,” a name that reflected a car that was 4-4-2-equipped with the heart of a Toronado. Hurst used the 455 C.I., W-34 package engine offered in the Toronado as the power plant. The entire project involved a lot of custom work, such as sectioning the fenders, flattening the floor (since no driveshaft was needed) and blending the 1974 Oldsmobile Hurst 1986 Oldsmobile H/O frames of both cars. The end result is this one-of- Jack Hooks Aero Coupe a-kind, experimental vehicle hand-built by Hurst Rick & Sharon Tice Performance. This uniquely-designed and well-optioned car became a milestone in automotive luxury and technology. Meet Mr. North throughout Friday and Saturday in Building T, as well as at his seminars on the history of the Toronado’s design.
