APOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF AN INDEPENDANT OF NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND APPOINTMENT OF A CHIEF RISK OFFICER
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised that Mr Robert Emslie [B Comm Law (1979), Hons Acc (1982), CA (SA) (1983)] has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee of Finbond Group Limited with immediate effect.
Mr. Robert Emslie gained extensive experience in the Banking and Financial Services Sector over the past 30 years and was:
• Member of the Absa Group Executive Committee from 2004 to 2008. • Head of Absa Corporate and Business Bank from 2005 to 2008. • Head of Absa Africa from 2007 to 2008. • Head of Absa Corporate and Merchant Bank including offshore offices from 2003 to 2005.
Shareholders are further advised that Mr. Danie Pentz, who is currently a non-executive director of the Company will, with immediate effect, assume an executive roll and has been appointed as Finbond’s Chief Risk Officer.
