The history of the category goes back to 2000 when the series was established to support the V8 Supercar Championship Series. The series produced exciting racing and exceptional driver talent, and as a result saw a rapid growth in popularity. The current Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series is comprised of 7 events which coincide with selected V8 Supercar Championship Series events. With its total circuit attendances for 2011 already over 2 million, over half a million viewers of each race on Foxtel Speed, Channel 7 and 7Mate, the official website and Facebook page regularly getting 2 to 3 million page impressions each race weekend as well as regular coverage in prominent motorsport magazines, the V8 Supercars are an invaluable opportunity for your company to gain nation-wide exposure. Coming back to Australia to race in 2004 Drew spent two years in the Australian Production Car Championship. In 2005 he was crowned the Class A champion of the series with 7 wins. 2006 saw a move into the Australian Performance Car Championship for the young racer, another career progression that heralded outstanding results, winning the Privateers Cup Championship with 9 Drew Russell wins across 13 race starts. Age: 23 2007 was another big year for Drew stepping up to the Fujitsu Started Racing: 1999 Development V8 Supercar Series.
