Many committees include details of their future business on their webpages, which can be accessed at: http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/business/committees/index.htm Health and Sport Committee 23 April 2013 12th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 9.45 am in Committee Room 1 1. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instrument— National Health Service Superannuation Scheme etc. (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (SSI 2013/109) 2. Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill at Stage 1, in round-table format, from— Gerry Wells, Head of Service, Quarriers; Graham Bell, Chief Executive, Kibble Education and Care Centre; Richard Crosse, Crossreach; Jean Urquhart, Chair of Authorised Listeners Group, Scottish Catholic Safeguarding Service; Richard Meade, Public Affairs Officer, Barnardo’s Scotland; and then from— Duncan Dunlop, Chief Executive, Who Cares? Scotland; Zachari Duncalf, Ambassador, Care Leavers Association; Jacquie Pepper, Senior Inspector, and Karen Anderson, Director of Strategic Development, Care Inspectorate. Proposed future business At its next meeting, on 30 April, the Committee expects to consider oral evidence on the Victims and Witnesses (Scotland) Bill (National Confidential Forum). Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 3 in private. The Committee will also decide whether its consideration of an approach paper on the McCormac Review of Teacher Employment in Scotland, and a draft report on the Royal Charter’s implications for Scotland should be taken in private at future meetings. 2. The Royal Charter - the implications for Scotland: The Committee will take evidence from— Magnus Llewellin, Editor, The Herald; Alan Cochrane, Scottish Editor, The Telegraph; Andrew Harries, Editor, The Scottish Sun; and then from— Alan Miller, Commissioner, Scottish Human Rights Commission; Margaret Watson, Witness to the Leveson Inquiry; and then from— Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, Peter Willman, Head of Branch, Broadcasting and Creative Industries, and Greig Walker, Solicitor, Economy and Transport Division, Scottish Government Legal Directorate, Scottish Government. 3. The Royal Charter - the implications for Scotland: The Committee will consider the evidence heard on the Royal Charter and its implications for Scotland. Justice Committee 23 April 2013 12th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 10.00 am in Committee Room 6 1. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 5 in private. 2. Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012: The Committee will consider issues relating to the operation of the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012. 5. Finance Committee 24 April 2013 12th Meeting, 2013 The Committee will meet at 9.30 am in Committee Room 2 1.
