This meeting will be to plan activities for the Session ahead and they would welcome any young people (16+ years) who would like to come along to help. The VIDES Friends’ Club run on Monday nights during term time and is open to all children from P6 to S3. This is a great opportunity for young people to serve others in a fun and exciting way.

We are sending out our first Friends Newsletter keeping you up to date with our special projects from SPRED and Seminarians to Youth, Marriage, Missio, and Retired Clergy. As promised bishop John will offer Mass annually on the day following the Feast of Saint Mirin for the intentions of all our benefactors and their Giving in Every Season.

YOUTH TO LOURDES We are currently in the process of arranging the Youth Lourdes Pilgrimage for 2018. The Pilgrimage will leave Scotland on Thursday 28th June 2018. We will arrive in Lourdes on Friday 29th June. We will arrive back in Scotland on Friday 6th July. The pilgrimage is open to anyone in the present s3, s4, s5 or s6. The cost this year is £550.00. The deposit to reserve a place is £60. If deposits are paid, however, by or on Sunday 8th October we will be able to offer a reduced price of £510.00 #earlybirdoffer. Places are reserved only upon payment of the deposit and the return of the application form. Our first group meeting will be at St. Patrick’s, Greenock on Sunday 8th October at 2pm. ST MIRIN’S PILGRIMS’ WALK There has been a slight change to St Mirin's Pilgrims walks program. The walk scheduled for 7th October 2017 has been brought forward to 23rd September2017. The remaining walks for this year are as follows;- Saturday 23rd September 2017 - Girvan to Colmonell - leaving Girvan at 10:00 Saturday 4th November 2017- Glasgow to Paisley - meeting at Glasgow Cathedral Precint at 09:30.
VOCATIONS AWARENESS WEEK Vocations Awareness Week STARTS today until next Sunday 17th September. This year our annual Diocesan Vocations Mass will take place on Monday 11th September at 7pm in St. Mirin’s Cathedral. Please come along and pray for vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate and Consecrated Life. Refreshments will be available in the Cathedral halls after Mass.
