Teamsport Crawley Re-Opening Following Refurbishment February 2018 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TeamSport reopens Crawley go-karting track TeamSport, the UK’s leading company for indoor go-karting, has officially re-opened its Crawley track this week after 5 weeks of extensive refurbishment work. Following an investment of over £200,000 returning racegoers and members can look forward to seeing an unrecognisable centre inside. Dominic Gaynor, Managing Director of TeamSport, said: “We’re really excited to be re-opening our Crawley venue. We’ve been located at Gatwick Goodsyard, Gatwick Road for over 9 years and felt it was time to refresh the site and improve the customer facilities to match that of our other sites across the country.” “The first thing customers will notice will be our redesigned reception area and then fully refurbished changing rooms & briefing room. The most exciting difference is the creation of our large new licensed ‘Fuel’ snack bar offering customers a range of drinks as well as rustic pizzas and hot dogs. New seating has been installed to give racers a perfect area for refuelling after a rapid few laps around the track. “Fans of the track can be rest assured, the layout remains the same; two multi-levels tracks split over 3 floors which when combined gives race goers and thrill seekers a staggering 800m of track to master. Top of the range Biz 200cc karts, which are capable of reaching up to 40mph, provide the thrills on track, and with cadet karts available too families can visit and enjoy the fun of karting together. “The track is the perfect place for an action-packed family day out offering a safe, unique and great value-for-money go-karting experience.     The Former Officers’ Residence, Priddy’s Hard, Gosport, Hampshire An Archaeological Evaluation for Crest Nicholson (South) Ltd by Helen Moore Thames Valley Archaeological Services Ltd Site Code PHG04/20 May 2004 Summary Site name: Priddy’s Hard, Gosport, Hampshire Grid reference: SU6165 0110 Site activity: Archaeological evaluation Date and duration of project: 28th and 29th April 2004 Project manager: Helen Moore Site supervisor: Helen Moore Site code: PHG04/20 Area of site: c. 1.9 ha Summary of results: The footings of the old officers’ residences at Priddy’s Hard were located below the present ground surface. The building was in a very fragmentary state with very little intact masonry surviving. Two of the window openings at the front eastern side of the building were located and the corner of the building extrapolated from these, as only a robber trench survived to indicate the corner. All the corners of the main rectangular building had been demolished and robbed away and only short stretches of wall survived in places. Monuments identified: Post-Medieval house footings. Location and reference of archive: The archive is presently held at Thames Valley Archaeological Services, 47–49 De Beauvoir Road, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 5NR, and will be deposited with Hampshire Museum Services in due course.
