FUNDAMENTALISM

A new epithet has recently emerged out the Mind of the fanatics that are violently opposed to the tenets of Standard Tech and Best Practice: FUNDAMENTALISM , when describing the technical application of auditing and Hubbard inspired counseling.

Fundamentalism is defined as religious movement or point of view characterized by a return to fundamental principles, by rigid adherence to those principles, and often by intolerance of other views and opposition to secularism

The fanatics behind that recurring train of thought have long preached the same thing:

1- That training and Interning is unnecessary and that one can call himself an expert without any real experience and only the most cursory of studies of the materials. Those pushing that aberrant ideology are the first to denigrate the value of training and those who dedicated decades of their lives becoming true experts and professionals: in their minds and writings they spread their false propaganda that any self-certified Class IV with a few dozen hours experience is just as good (if not even better) than a Class XII with over 40,000 hours of experience and having completed over two dozen auditor Internships under Class XII Case Supervisors that had been trained and handpicked by L. Ron Hubbard himself.

2- That there is something inherently evil in adhering with true professionalism and meticulous care to the strict standards and discipline that both common sense and L. Ron Hubbard himself are required to deliver competently the Upper Levels and those designed to BYPASS THE NORMAL SELF-PROTECTION MECHANISM OF THE HUMAN MIND

3- That wild and new ideas not based on a shred of scientific evidence or even having proven to achieve any kind of result are as valid, if not more than long proven principles. The aberrant notion being promoted by those fanatics is that somehow, sitting in their living room, sometimes helped by generous amounts of Beer and cigarette smoke, and without a formal education in anything beyond a High School diploma nor in the Mind, Philosophy or Spirit these self- proclaimed Geniuses have been able to accomplish in a few hours and on their own more than thousands of years of Science and more than decades of Intensive research by L. Ron Hubbard and the hundreds of people that helped him.

According to their hidden philosophical views, a failed auditor who has never been able to graduate an Internship conducted under any Case Supervisor worthy of that name, never bothered to spend any time drilling or honing his skills and who has never been able to objectively prove he can produce uniform results is on an equal footing as someone who spent hundreds (if not thousands) of hours drilling and cramming so he could audit flublessly hundreds of cases.

4- Every single vice present in their own behavior, they accuse those they chose to denigrate by mislabeling them as “fundamentalist”. They label as arrogant anyone insistent on sticking to professional standards and discipline. It never dawn on them that someone who was was too lazy to train properly, too selfish to persist in applying what has been proven by clinical tests to be “best practice” and that has never been successful in producing results consistently suddenly claiming that he is a World Authority and therefore entitled to denigrate and ridicule the true professionals in the same filed is not only the PAROXYSM of ARROGANCE, but delusional as well.

They typically realize that by peddling auditing in the same manner of Snake Oil Merchants of old, they can maximize financial gain while minimizing the amount of effort required. Those among that group of fanatics that are not after financial wealth, are after Power over other people’s lives. Just like a perverse hypnotist who amuse himself by getting people he experiments on to act in funny ways or like animals, so are those who view people merely as guinea pigs to be experimented on. When they accuse true altruists people of delivering auditing with Professionalism and discipline of being con Men and only interested in Money, one can be certain that they are talking about themselves, a phenomenon known as Projective Identification in the Psychological Field and “similar Overts of one’s Own” in Scientology. .

6- They normally claim to follow Standard tech. Some even redefine the word Standard (whose true meaning is a Universal yardstick) by claiming a Standard is simply following their own set

of rules, that they keep inventing as they keep experimenting. They do that because most people that have been exposed to Scientology and the bulk of normal people distrust non-standard application, in particular those who violate the tenets taught by L. Ron Hubbard. In the same vein. very few people that are sane of Mind, would abandon their own Minds to experimental procedures that have been just been developed on a whim. Hence the typical desire to deceive by those fanatics. claiming their wild ideas are in the same class as those of true professionals. The desire to lure clients is the true motive. They are essentially being dishonest.

7- They frequently promote aberrant and absurd notions that nobody outside the small world of the Freezone or Independent Field can agree with. Among the popular notions promoted by these individuals are the notion that some of them have Psychic Powers of such Magnitude that they are able to influence World Leader or Events through their mere thoughts. Yet the same individuals fail the simplest of logical tests in life and frequently their own lives and environment are in tatters.

Another popular set of notion include variations on the theme that Aliens (often called Markabians) in remote galaxies or solar system have taken over the world of Scientology and are telepathically guiding it at a distance.

Or they can claim to be able to audit over the phone (or even through their “Superlative Telepatic abilities”) and somehow get reads transference from the pc to the E-Meter to which they have connected themselves.

While they are certainly entitled to any belief they wish to indulge themselves in, all too often, they seek to promote their ideas through the denigration of those they view as “competition”. In their eyes someone with a lot of ideas not proven by any test and having no experience with a subject has a right to demand from a professional and expert in the subject to be called Peers and equals. The response to the statement that their knowledge, experience and skills do not measure up to the proven experts in the field is normally a violent an extremely vocal rebuttal through Ad Hominem attacks and the pernicious use of “Scientology Black PR”.

Scientology Black PR is the tool used to spread lies about another whose dissenting views are perceived as a threat to one’s vested interests.

Black PR has nothing to do with truth. Only with satisfying the private interests of the one sponsoring it.

One of the key trick of Black PR is the redefinition of terms or the labeling with incorrect attributes that which one seeks to harm or destroy.

By labeling professionalism, self-discipline and adhering to the standards of Best Practice as FUNDAMENTALISTS, the fanatic making use of the Black PR tool just mentioned seeks to

aggrandize himself denigrating their opponents falsely associating the Ethical Practice of Scientology or Hubbard based counseling with a stigmatized word (normally meant to be used in a theological context, not a secular one such as auditing) and demonizing it. Fundamentalism in most people’s Mind today has the meaning of RADICALISM or EXTREMISM, and a close association with the evils Religious Extremism has caused since 2001.

It is nothing short of a Subliminal Message designed to propagate covertly the ridiculous notion that anyone disciplined enough to stick to BEST PRACTICE anchored in proven results is in fact some sort of EXTREMIST.

My message to the purveyors of the False data that anyone sticking to the discipline, standards and Professionalism associated with Standard Tech is a FUNDAMENTALIST is for them to :

1- GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS and PROPERLY TRAIN so you can at least produce uniform results with a technology before you claim being such an expert in it that you can freely denigrate it.

2- STOP BEING DISHONEST by falsely labeling your ideas own ideas or those of your newly found Guru as Standard Scientology or directly from L. Ron Hubbard, when they simply are not. You certainly can believe and practice anything you want, but mislabeling is nothing but a form of parasitism seeking to leech on the proven record and hard work done by those who developed the technology or those who invested years of their lives honestly training in it. This especially applied to forged HCOBs and Rundowns created in the Freezone and misattributed to L. Ron Hubbard (like the Freezone version of SuperPower and OT 2 and OT 3 as currently taught by Ron’s Org and their followers.) It entirely applies to the concepts of Telepathic, phone and Skype auditing as they directly contravene the principles of auditing as explained in Bulletins and lectures within Scientology. and actual Videos of sessions delivered by L. Ron Hubbard.

3- STOP CLAIMING TRAINING OR STATES OF BEING NOT ATTAINED. Some people have developed the notion that studying a Class VIII course pack in a few hours and listening to the Class VIII tapes (or more often, only reading their transcripts). with scores of missing materials such as the LRH |Class VIII C/Sed sessions, and no course supervision nor anyone to attest them makes them a FULL Class VIII on a par with those who trained and apprenticed for months on that Course. Or that you can now claim to be a Class XII auditor because you have been shown a bootleg Ls materials pack, devoid of all 50 theory HCOB covering those rundowns missing all LRH taped lectures on the subject and were taught by a provisional Class IV auditor who never trained at Flag himself. Or that having achieved an OT Level developed by someone else than LRH entitles you to be claim to be WITHOUT A CASE, no matter how nattery, reactive, make-wrong and restimulated you have become.

If your practice is centered mainly around your alleged extraordinary Psychic skills, such as being a world Class telepath capable of counseling and altering the behavior of a world Leader, or your claim of formidable telekinesis abilities that enables you to influence the needle of your emeter by channeling a pre-clear on the other side of the world, have the Integrity of getting your claims independently verified by somebody who is credible before demanding that you automatically be given the same status as those who studied and trained for decades while having dozens of fully qualified case Supervisors attesting the auditing as competent and standard.

The aberrant notions promoted by David Miscavige are in fact the very same ideology as the one promoted by the fanatics referred to in this essay, though under a different disguise. Their results tend to be the same as well.

AMPRINISTICS

WHAT IS IT?

Anyone who has been deeply involved in Scientology, such as being on staff, the Sea Org or being part of delivering its services as an auditor, like I was, received continuous indoctrinations to make him/her accept all form of data without questioning it or even examining it. To the outsider, such data, when accepted by the recipient is correctly labeled as Dogma.

Most of my peers, swallowed one Dogma after another without giving it a second thought. Being of a somewhat different nature, I never could accept a datum without understanding it first. I was often criticized for it, but realized from the start that my personal Integrity depended on believing only in what I choose to believe in on my own, not what I was merely ordered to.

Divergent and Splinter Groups were uniformly labeled as Suppressive, thought it was never explained how they were so. My questions about what they were, their activities and in which way they supposedly harmed people were never answered, except by the universal platitudes: “They teach junk”, “They are run by evil people with a discreditable past (or by perverts)” “They harm anyone they touch”.

I distinctively remember coming across the word AMPRINISTICS and finding it impossible to locate a definition. My efforts at truly clarifying its meaning were strongly discouraged. The only thing I needed to know is that it was a Suppressive group seeking to Harm Scientology and run by criminals.

It is only after I left the Church that I discovered (no thank to the Church of Scientology who has kept the issue hidden as it proved subsequently to be an embarrassment), what the word means or what it was. © 2013 Pierre Ethier

AMPRINISTICS is a made up word by its creator Harold Thompson (1922-1994) , when he left the Church around 1964 to pursue his own ideas. He was joined by Jack Horner*, who used to be one of L. Ron Hubbard most trusted friends and Edgar Watson, one of the top auditors at the time.

*( Jack Horner was trusted enough for LRH to invite him to conduct by himself the 1st South African Advanced Clinical Course, as LRH had commitments elsewhere).

AMPRINISTICS is composed out of the words AMPLIATIVE (extending a simple concept) and PRINCIPLE (beginning/fundamental truth as basis of reasoning).

I do not have enough information to properly evaluate the merits or drawback of that philosophy, since I have not been able to get my hands-on works that explain its procedures in details. In 2001, his widow, Nancy Gould Thompson published a book: “Amprinistics : the simple truth : the first scientific psychology” / Harold Thompson.

Amprinistics uses ideas that are found in Certainty Processing, Rising Scale Processing and Concept Therapy/Processing from 1951-1953 and combines them with ideas from R6EW (1962- 1964) to seek to release sections of the Mind and specific aberrations.

The Advertisement of Amprinistics promotes it as a senior form of Scientology and is extremely enthusiastic about claims of results. How accurate were their claims? It is impossible to tell. The church, prompted by L. Ron Hubbard himself has gone out of its way to destroy that group, its principals and anything it published.

After a few years ,both Jack Horner and Edgar Watson left to start their own practices, no doubted prompted by the Intense Third partying campaign the Church instigated which had for avowed goal to get each of the founding members at each other’s throat.

L. Ron Hubbard got so ticked off about the group daring to use his ideas mixed with their own that he vowed the demise at any and all costs.

He started by writing an Executive Letter (the predecessor to LRHED) dated 27 September 1965 called AMPRINISTICS. That issue is now hard to find because it L. Ron Hubbard rhetoric and unproven assertions proved to be such an embarrassment, that the Church now denies its existence.

L. Ron Hubbard starts by making a big deal of them being all allegedly homosexuals, in spite of the accusations later in that same issue that one of them had indiscriminately fathered multiple children and abandoned their mothers. It merely reflects on Hubbard homophobia and consequently the Church of Scientology viewing Hubbard’s words as “scriptures” privately labeling all homosexuals as perverts and insane. They may something else in their PR, but I have

read the pc folders of over 100 different Homosexuals and each of them was branded a pervert and insane by their case Supervisor. There were no exception.

Hubbard continues with his generalities calling them thieves and criminals but never once giving the slightest details even vague ones. He then goes on stating; “We don’t really want them any harm”.

Contradicting himself, Hubbard continues on the next page: “They are each Fair Game, can be sued or harassed… Watson is a set-up for arrest as Homosexual. Any meeting held by them should be torn up. the names of people attending should be collected and they should be labeled SP, as they have left Scientology.(Now we have Hubbard clearly stating that if you leave or disagree with Scientology you are a Suppressive Person: something the Church of Scientology does with abandons, because L. Ron Hubbard says so)

Hubbard continues with his vitriol: “If any of them move in your area get them arrested or deported on whatever grounds”.

OUR POLICY:

(1) Do not Mention the name Amprinistics in public, in our magazines or issues.

(2) Harass these persons in any possible way.

(3) Label publicly their ideas as Suppressive and designed to deny people case gains.

(4) Tear up any meeting held and get the names of those attending and issue SP orders and you’ll have a lot of rats.

EPILOGUE

Amprinistics, never amounted to anything bigger than a few hundred adherents and therefore never threatened the Church of Scientology income. The Church has never published any account of a single person being harmed by that practice. If they had found any, they would have published them in all their gore. Therefore the inescapable conclusion is that AMPRINISTICS never harmed anyone nor anything except L. Ron Hubbard’s pride. Harold Thompson survived L. Ron Hubbard by 8 full years. In 2001, the Amprinistics Society was still active, making Hubbard’s forecast in 1965 that ” in a few months will never be heard of again” entirely inaccurate

TAPED LECTURES

In 1976 a FLAG TAPE MASTER LIST was compiled and issued. It had a few omission, but was by far the most complete list ever done by the Church.

In the 1990s, the late Ken Ogger who gave himself for nickname “THE PILOT” published the most exhaustive list of LRH conferences ever made. Using my own unique background as a Class XII and Sea Org Member on Tech lines at Flag for nearly 20 years and numerous contacts and sources of help. I have filled the holes in the Pilot list and explained the currents status of each lecture

Since the advent of the Golden Age of Tech a number of lectures have been quietly buries and the very name and existence of those conferences been erased from Scientology official teaching. The Church current position is that those lectures never existed, even though they exit in previous compilations. The Church has ordered destruction of those conferences by any of the faithful who still happen to own one.

None of the lectures given by L. Ron Hubbard in 1969 are part of the GOLDEN AGE OF KNOWLEDGE. NONE OF THEM ARE LISTED IN THE NEW TECH VOLUMES ISSUED IN 1991.

Except for the Welcome to the Sea Org Lectures, all of the following conferences have been quietly buried and in the 1990s ordered destroyed by organizations who had them.

The transcripts for tapes marked with an X have been leaked out and are available outside the Church.

This list includes 9 lectures that are not on the original FLAG MASTER LRH TAPE LIST nor the PILOT TAPE LIST.

The list is self explanatory. It is completely Impossible to Dead Agent because it is true. All you need is to check “The Auditor” Issue #19 issued in 1967. If you don’t trust the copies you find on the Internet, find a “Hard copy”. Don’t take my word for it. Check for yourself and find that they are the same heck the original set of OEC Volumes published in the 1970s. Some policies may have been cancelled or reissued under LRH name, but the original signatories don’t lie. Many Policies from 1963-1967 are signed by St-Hill Executives stating their full names and post.

Check Flag ED 2830RB, 25 July 1992 “ENEMIES OF THE CHURCH” and you’ll find most names on this list!!!

Not enough of an outpoint? Then ask yourself why is the Enemy List no longer being published. It was meant to be revised monthly, so as to keep HCO “Up-to-date”.

The answer: when originally published on the Internet over a decade ago, the list proved to be a great embarrassment to the Church (the list was over 100 pages long).

13 years later, the list has grown by over 6000 new names… (and none removed from the previous list that I know of). It can now be successfully argued that there are more people either “Declared Suppressive” or “not in good standing” with the Church that there are people currently an actively supporting that organization…

A review of the names of “Declared SPs” reads like a “Who’s Who of the History of the Church”. This explains why every single name of staff, public and student have been meticulously been deleted by current Management from current official tape lectures.

The list speaks for itself.

What St-Hill truly made out of SPs??? Or was it actually made of people of good will???

A: So they wouldn’t be found out removing the Integrity part of it.

SCIENTOLOGY, MYTHS AND COPYRIGHT

In mid 1983 the Corporate Church of Scientology started a massive program to register LRH material. This is the reason most copyright filings have a date of 1983 forward. By then most of the HCOBs written by LRH prior to 1978 had fallen into Public Domain. To get around this the HCOBs were issued into tech volumes and then a copyright was gotten to cover the whole book. But, if you look at the individual HCOBs in the tech volumes, the copyright is missing on each individual one. This is because most of the original works are individually not copyrighted anymore and fell in the Public Domain! It became a common practice to take an issue that has fallen into the public domain, change a few lines of it, then get a copyright on their revised edition. This is why the original works were revised and changed.

The failure of LRH to place notice of copyright on the original works and documents he published before 1978 seem to have resulted in those works falling into Public Domain. The copyright law changed in 1978 , when the copyright notice was no longer required to reserve the authors rights.

Copyright Act required, inter alia, that the copyright owner of a published document affix proper notice to each publicly distributed copy of the work. Non compliance with the notice requirement could inject the work into the public domain. Indeed the Copyright Act of 1909 contained a very strict notice requirement. A work published without a valid copyright notice was automatically injected into the public domain. 17 U.S.C. SS10, 19 et. Seq. (1909 Act) ; New Era Publications International, APS v. Carol Pub. Group, 904 F.2d 152, 161 (2d Cir.), cert. Denied, 111 S. Ct. 297 (1990).

In the RTC vs FACTNet case, the church alleged that FACTNet violated 1900 of their copyrights. All 1900 issues in the FACTNet case were copyrighted between 83 and 87 and they were not copyrighted earlier. In some instances they do have earlier registrations but the majority of them do not. Below is affidavit by Jesse Price in regard to the copyright issues of the original works.

I, Jesse Prince declare as follows:

1. I am over 18 years of age and currently reside in the state of Minnesota, County of Hennepin. This declaration is of my own personal knowledge and if called upon to testify to the facts herein I could and would be competently able to testify thereto.

2. I am intimately familiar with the Scientology organization, movement and beliefs because I was in Scientology for 16 years (1976-92) and served in the highest ranks, including as the second in command of the Religious Technology Center (RTC). At that time, my position was “Deputy Inspector General, External” which meant being in charge of all activities outside the body of Scientology. This included being in charge of all litigation by or against any Scientology organization, intelligence (spying, covert operations) brought against perceived or imagined “enemies” (which ranged from critics to media to the courts), trademark registrations, and the licensing of trademarks to other Scientology organizations, which was how we tightly controlled all Scientology corporations while creating the false impression of “corporate integrity.”

3. It is incumbent on this and every court, as well as the authorities, to realize the amount of deception, chicanery, lying, manipulation and outright criminality that Scientology will employ to hide the truth about their criminal activities. They will spend any amount of money to do this. I know because I was part of it for years. I received orders to break the law. I issued orders to break the law. I got others to break the law, and then I helped to hide these criminal activities just as they are hiding them now.

4. In fact, this tactic is one of the most coercive used by the Scientology hierarchy: to involve members in criminal acts for which they are then liable, which then prevents the person from speaking out. Even if the member manages to leave or flee, they will be reluctant to speak to the courts or the authorities because they were part of criminal activities. Plus the organization is ready to use Mafia-like tactics to threaten an ex-member if the hierarchy is afraid of their testimony. If the ex-member does speak, the organization will claim no knowledge and blames the individual, calling them a criminal when that person was doing nothing more than following orders under duress.

5. Members of Scientology are induced to confess to acts that, if not outright criminal, are embarrassing or possibly destructive to the person’s job, marriage or profession, for example, shoplifting, adultery, masturbation, or drug abuse. The member is urged to write these down in their own handwriting, under the guise that it is a “religious confessional” for the member’s good. The truth is that these “confessions” are kept to blackmail and extort the member should they dare to speak out. The member is also coerced to sign documents that are self-damaging while protecting the organization, solely in case the member dares to leave their control and speak the truth. I know because I watched this done to others, I did it to others and it was done to me. That is why I respectfully urge this court to recognize Scientology’s tactics and treat them for what they are: criminal deceit to defraud this court at any cost.

6. For the past five years since I fled Scientology, I have been silent because it was my intent to create a new life for myself, away from their obsessive control, and it required all the energy that I could muster to do that. About two weeks ago, I finally became curious as to what was happening within the Scientology world and I used the Internet to look up Scientology and was stunned to discover former friends who had also left and the conflicts being waged in the courts. I contacted one (Stacy Young) who had been a close friend for many years in the cult who told me what had been happening, with former members fighting to have the abuses and the criminality exposed.

7. Because I have intimate and personal knowledge of issues in this case, she put me in touch with attorney Dan Leipold and I traveled to his offices in Santa Ana, California. After speaking with him and others, I realized that this level of criminal fraud and deceit can no longer continue without opposition. I could no longer remain silent, regardless of their terrorism. I offered to tell the court how Scientology really operates with trademarks, copyrights and the courts. In fact, I am doing this at the risk of enduring the hate campaign this pseudo-religion will wage against me, as they have against others, including judges.

8. Let me begin with some basic information about my own Scientology history: I first became involved with Scientology in September 1976, in San Francisco. In late 1976 I joined the elite Scientology paramilitary organization known as the Sea Organization, also known as the “Sea Org” or the acronym “SO.” The Sea Organization is the actual nexus that controls the Scientology empire. Sea Organization personnel are authorized to take over and control Scientology organizations and to demote personnel, move bank accounts and run the corporation as if the SO personnel were employees or representatives of that corporation but they are not. This is true if the organization was part of the “Church of Scientology” or one of the secular areas such as Bridge Publications. This is possible because the only personnel allowed into executive positions in these organization are those who are in full agreement that the Sea Organization is the commanding organization. This weeding out process guarantees there will be no executives who will resist or protect their corporate integrity. This is how the Sea Organization can operate with impunity, and continue to claim that it is merely a “fraternal organization.” The Sea Organization is a “fraternal organization” the way the Cosa Nostra is.

9. Before I was recruited into the Religious Technology Center (RTC) in 1982, most of my experience was with Scientology technical material; the actual codified techniques used within the organization. This gave me considerable time to become familiar with the material, most of which was written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. It was that familiarity that prompted my promotion to a technical position at RTC.

10. Physically, I was transferred to and lived and worked at what is known as “Golden Era Studios,” near Hemet, California. It is also known as “Gold” or simply “the base.” RTC’s presence at Gold was fully known to all at the base, but was kept hidden from all others, to try to make it appear that Gold was merely a movie/tape production studio when really the movie/tape

production is nothing but a front to mask, hide and protect the top of Scientology’s actual power structure so they cannot be served with subpoenas. (The security system is more befitting a top secret military installation, with its motion detectors, buried sensors, high-speed cameras, night cameras, guards on motorcycles, and barbed wire fences wired to detect anyone touching it etc.)

RTC was at that time the most senior, most powerful and most influential organization in all of Scientology. All at RTC were Sea Org members, as are all at the base. But because of RTC’s position, we were the elite at the base.

11. In March 1983, I became the Deputy Inspector General, External, and a member of the Board of Directors for RTC, as Treasurer. (The only other board members were Warren McShane as Secretary and Vicki Aznaran as President, during this time.) At the time I was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of RTC I was forced to sign an undated letter of resignation. This is standard practice with all Scientology board members and is another means by which the Scientology corporations are controlled while giving the appearance of corporate integrity.

12. In that capacity for the next few years, I traveled about the US and outside of the US on behalf of RTC. I traveled to Germany, Italy, Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Mexico and Canada, with several trips to some of these countries. These trips were to put together an infrastructure that would then interface with RTC for the purpose of trademarks. I became familiar with the law with regard to each area, interviewed and approved law firms, and put the personnel in place that would report to RTC and be our on-the-ground representatives in dealing with the attorneys etc.

13. When Hubbard died in 1986, there was a power struggle in Scientology for the next 18 or so months that resulted in Hubbard’s closest and most powerful aide (Pat Broeker) being removed. The power was taken over by David Miscavige who purged the organization of anyone who was friendly with Broeker. In mid-1987, I was removed from my position and put under armed guard at Happy Valley, a property the organization owns that is a few miles west of Gold and located deep in the Soboba Indian Reservation. I assume the undated resignation I provided on being appointed to the Board was then dated and used to make it appear that I had resigned, when I had not. After a few months, it was decided that I would not escape and I was given various jobs at Gold but kept under watch. My pay was standard Sea Org pay, $24 per week.

14. I should clarify why I (and others) tolerated such treatment for so long. The ability to tolerate such abusive conditions and treatment are one of the most basic requirements for promotion in the Sea Organization and RTC. We were selected and promoted because we vowed such loyalty and demonstrated it daily. Not unlike a military unit, it is the ability of the Sea Org member to take orders, carry out the assignment and to tolerate self-degrading conditions that ingratiates them to their seniors and to the system. That was why I was promoted so highly and why I then tolerated more. Looking back on it, I cannot believe that I actually tolerated such denigration and such abuse and actually deluded myself that it was for my good as well as the good of others.

15. In late 1991, my wife Monika became pregnant and although we were elated, she was ordered to abort the child. The reason for the abortion order is that Sea Org members were not allowed to have children. The order devastated both my wife and me. Our dedication as Sea Org members clashed violently with our intentions as parents and we went through a personal nightmare with me opposing it, to no avail. She got the abortion and afterwards she was not the same. She was devastated at the impact of what she did and that was when she told me she wanted to leave. We fled, with the organization close behind us, trying to find us. They finally did and convinced us to return so we could “leave properly.”

16. Once they had us again behind the barbwire and watched by security, my wife was threatened that if we did not sign certain papers, she would no longer be able to see her father and her sister, who were both in the Sea Organization.

17. This is another coercive power that the organization wields. Like a police state, it can order and enforce family members to alter their relations, and even get them to turn against each other. Monika and I knew that if the organization said she would be kept from her father and sister (by control over them), that she would not again be able to talk to them or see them, let alone visit. This is called “disconnection” in Scientology. We agreed to sign the papers and were able to leave.

18. On July 26, 1998, one of the cult’s attorneys sent a long fax to Dan Leipold that is their first not-so-veiled threat to me, warning me to be silent. The attorney included the document they prepared for me and that I signed under the conditions I just described. I am attaching his letter and the documents I was forced to sign under duress as my first evidence of what this criminal cult does to silence anyone speaking out. (Exhibit 1). It does not surprise me, as it is a standard tactic, to force a person to create or sign a self-damaging document to use when ready.

19. I have also been privy to the destruction and alteration of documents to protect the group. On or about April of 1983 I was present at a meeting, which took place in Los Angeles, California at a Scientology office called Author Services, Inc. (ASI). ASI presented itself as the “literary agency” for Hubbard but it was actually the top of the Scientology empire at that time. All of Scientology was being directed from ASI in 1982. ASI was where various Scientology corporations went to receive orders.

20. Present at the meeting was David Miscavige, then the chairman of the board of ASI, Vicki Aznaran then the Deputy Inspector General of Religious Technology Center, (RTC) and Lymon Spurlock, who was “Director of Client Affairs” for ASI. Mr. Miscavige expressed concern at this meeting that there might possibly be a raid on Scientology by the IRS. At that time, none of the churches of Scientology had received tax exempt status.

21. One principle reason why tax exempt status had not been granted was the IRS’s position that Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard (LRH) was actually the managing agent of Scientology in

complete disregard of the corporate structure of Scientology. We knew this to be a fact but also knew that it violated IRS rules and thus had to be hidden.

22. There was concern that the IRS would obtain the hundreds of daily, weekly and monthly LRH orders written by Mr. Hubbard and distributed throughout Scientology. These orders were commonly referred to in Scientology as “advices” to avoid the appearance that LRH was actually running Scientology. In fact, LRH was running Scientology. The principle concern expressed at this meeting was that the LRH orders or “advices” would be used to name L. Ron Hubbard as the managing agent of Scientology.

23. Because of an already existing fear that an LRH “advice” might fall into the wrong hands, these orders from him were written in a way that we could deny it was from him. His name was not on them. He was never cited in the dispatch except in the third person. There was no signature and a salutation in reply was never more than “Dear Sir.” The routing at the top referred to him merely as “*,” an asterisk. However if a person (or an agency) got enough of these, there would be little doubt that we were in touch with Hubbard (via ASI) and he was telling us and each corporation what to do to make him more money.

24. David Miscavige specifically stated that ASI was “already dealing with the problem”, ridding ASI of any documents that would implicate L. Ron Hubbard as managing agent of Scientology. He stated that under his directive the LRH orders, or “advices”, were being collected and transferred by truck to a Riverside County recycling plant where the documents were to be “pulped”. This method of destruction was considered to be better than shredding. I was also given instructions that I was in charge of purging the remainder of the Scientology organization of LRH orders. This was to include Church of Scientology of California (CSC); Church of Scientology International (CSI); and RTC.

25. Several weeks after this first meeting I attended a second meeting at the ASI offices concerning the continuing destruction of Scientology corporate documentation. In attendance at the second meeting were David Miscavige, Lymon Spurlock, Vicki Aznaran, Norman Starkey and Marty Rathburn. At this meeting, David Miscavige for the first time stated that Scientology had been ordered by a court to produce various documents concerning a former Scientology member named Lawrence Wollersheim who had a lawsuit pending in Los Angeles against the Church of Scientology of California. The court had ordered Scientology to produce Mr. Wollersheim’s entire “preclear” (PC) file.

26. A “PC ” file is one of several files kept on members. The PC file is the file that includes all written records of all “confessionals” done by the member. This means that it includes not only the most self-damaging material but it also reflects every problem the person might have had with the organization, including complaints. This PC file grows with the person’s tenure in Scientology.

27. Mr. Wollersheim’s PC file was several thousand pages in length and stood as high as a six- foot tall man. Initially at this meeting it was decided that Mr. Wollersheim’s PC file would be redacted and culled of any evidence or documentation which might assist Mr. Wollersheim in his lawsuit against CSC. There was also concern that the materials known as Clear, OT I, OT II, OT III and NED for OT’s (NOTS) would be open to public inspection if Mr. Wollersheim’s files were produced as ordered. Scientologists are taught that a person could catch pneumonia and die if that person is prematurely exposed to these “upper level” materials without first having taken many hours of preparatory auditing. Ultimately, approximately 50 pages were produced pursuant to the court order. Mr. Wollersheim’s PC file was culled based on a direct order from David Miscavige.

28. Later, I was informed that a second court order was issued to produce Mr. Wollersheim’s entire file. Faced with the prospect of having to produce the entire file David Miscavige gave orders that the entire file simply be destroyed by being pulped.

29. Pursuant to Mr. Miscavige’s orders I ordered Rick Aznaran to take Mr. Wollersheim’s PC files to the recycling plant in Riverside to be pulped. Several hours after I gave the order to have Mr. Wollersheim’s PC files destroyed, Mr. Aznaran returned and confirmed that the records had been pulped and even showed me a small bottle of pulped material, saying “Here’s what’s left.”

30. The material that David Miscavige ordered destroyed and which Rick Aznaran had pulped was the same material that the court had ordered produced in Mr. Wollersheim’s Los Angeles court case against CSC.

31. In early 1983 I attended a meeting at Scientology’s ASI office in Los Angeles. In attendance at this meeting were David Miscavige, Lymon Spurlock, Vicki Aznaran, Patricia Brice and Edith Buchele. The meeting concerned Scientology copyrights. In particular, David Miscavige stated that Scientology was “in trouble” concerning the copyright status of the many published materials of founder L Ron Hubbard. Concern was expressed that many of Mr. Hubbard’s published materials had become ‘public domain” because the materials had not been registered with the United States Copyright office for many years. David Miscavige stated that Scientology had failed to register copyrights for thousands of pages of Scientology material written by Mr. Hubbard. These records included the numerous policy letters and bulletins published by Mr. Hubbard. In particular, Mr. Hubbard published “Policy Letters” (always published in green ink on white paper and intended as administrative directives) LRH ED’s (Executive Directives) which are used for various topics, (always issued as blue ink on white paper) and “Technical Bulletins” published with red ink on white paper covering technical aspect of Scientology such as Auditing techniques, Policy and Ethics.

32. At the same meeting in early 1983 David Miscavige specifically ordered Patricia Brice (who at the time was L. Ron Hubbard’s personal secretary and an employee of ASI) to begin the process of mass copyright registration filings for all of L. Ron Hubbard’s materials. This order

was given despite the fact that Mr. Miscavige was already aware that many of the materials in question were already in the public domain. Thus, I know from personal knowledge that in mid 1983 Scientology began a massive program to register Mr. Hubbard’s material with the United State’s Copyright office.

33. Based on my many years of reading and studying Scientology directives including my time as a “Co-Audit Supervisor” and “Inspector General Cramming Officer” I became intimately familiar with the content, form, manner of distribution and publication of Scientology works and directives including the works of L. Ron Hubbard. As a Cramming Officer it was my job to insure that those who employ Scientology “tech” properly adhere to the official guidelines adopted by Scientology.

34. I was requested by counsel for Mr. Wollersheim to review the exhibits to BPI’s renewed motion for summary judgment. These were contained in more than 20 banker’s boxes.

In reviewing these boxes of exhibits I selected out documents at random to inspect. The chart below explains the result of my examination of certain of the exhibits. In examining the plaintiff’s exhibits I compared the alleged LRH originals submitted by the plaintiff’s as exhibits to some early editions of Scientology compilations which contains the policy issues in question. I employed a “1st edition” of the Organization Executive Course, and a “First printing of the Scientology Technical Bulletins for comparison to what BPI has claimed are the LRH originals.

35. I have attached hereto copies of various LRH materials that were published by Scientology in the early 1970 ′s that prove conclusively that the copy right notices on BPI’s purported “LRH originals” were not present then, but placed on the “originals” at a later date.

36. The above chart documents my observations in reviewing the documents that I selected at random to review. The important points that I believe the Court should note with reference to these documents are as follows:

1. Exhibits B-1289; 1290; 1291; 1292 and 1293 contain a 1953 copyright notice. However, the copyright registrations submitted by BPI are for a compilation published in 1955.

2. Exhibits B4; B-94 and B-215 all contain copyright notices from the 50 ′s, 60 ′s and 70 ′s that contain notations to CSI. CSI is the Church of Scientology International, which did not come into existence until 1981. Therefore, either BPI’s “originals” are not originals as claimed, or the copyright notices were placed on these documents long after they were published. (Exhibits 2, 3 and 4 attached hereto).

3. Exhibits B-59; B-369; and B-371 contain copyright notices from 1958. However, when these originals are compared to first printings or first editions of compilations put out by Scientology in the 1970 ′s, these copyright notices are not present, indicating that they were placed in the “originals” subsequent to the compilations being published. Je suis tout à fait familiarisé avec l’organisation, le mouvement et les croyances scientologiques du fait que j’y suis resté durant seize ans (1976-1992) et que j’y ai servi aux postes les plus importants, y compris second du RTC – Centre de Technologie Religieuse [direction globale de la secte, ndt]. J’étais alors “Député Inspecteur Général Externe”, ce qui veut dire que j’avais la responsabilité de toutes les activités hors du corps scientologue proprement dit. Cela comprend tout litige de la part ou contre toute organisation scientologique, le renseignement (espionnage, opérations cachées) contre tout “ennemi” perçu ou imaginaire (ce qui va des critiques aux médias © 2013 Pierre Ethier

et aux tribunaux), les enregistrements des droits d’auteur, le fait de licencier ces droits et marques à d’autres organisations scientologiques – ce qui constituait la manière de contrôler au plus près toutes les entités légales scientologiques tout en créant une fausse impression d’intégrité des divers corps.

3. Il incombe à tout tribunal ainsi qu’aux autorités de bien réaliser la masse de tromperie, chicanerie, mensonge, manipulation et criminalité pure et simple qu’emploiera la scientologie pour cacher les faits mêmes de ses crimes. Ils y dépenseront autant d’argent qu’il le faudra: je le sais pour en avoir fait partie des années durant. J’ai reçu des ordres de violer la loi. J’ai donné des ordres qu’on viole la loi. J’ai fait violer les lois à d’autres, puis je les ai aidés à camoufler ces activités criminelles exactement de la façon dont ils le font.

4. Cette tactique est en réalité l’une des plus coercitives utilisées par la hiérarchie scientologique: impliquer ses membres dans des actes criminels pour lesquels ils peuvent être poursuivis, ce qui les empèche dès lors de parler. Même lorsque l’adepte réussit à fuir, il craindra de parler en justice ou aux officiels, ayant lui-même participé à ces crimes. En outre, l’organisation use de tactiques maffieuses pour menacer tout ancien membre, au cas où la hiérarchie craint son témoignage. Si l’ex-membre parle, l’organisation prétendra ne rien savoir et accusera l’individu, le qualifiant de criminel alors que cette personne n’a rien fait d’autre que suivre les ordres en raison de la pression exercée.

5. Les membres de la scientologie sont poussés à confesser des actes qui, même s’ils ne sont pas carrément criminels, sont génants et pourraient détruire son emploi, son mariage ou sa profession. Exemples: vol dans les magasins, adultère, masturbation, usage de drogue. On exige que l’adepte écrive ces faits de sa main, sous prétexte de “confession religieuse”, soi-disant pour le “bien” de cette personne. Ces “confessions” sont conservées aux fins de chantage et extorsion, au cas où le membre parlerait. On le force aussi à signer des documents l’impliquant personnellement tout en protégeant l’organisation, au cas où l’adepte s’en irait et oserait parler. Je le sais pour l’avoir vu faire à d’autres, pour l’avoir moi-même demandé à d’autres, et pour l’avoir fait moi-même. C’est pourquoi je demande respectueusement à ce tribunal de reconnaître les tactiques scientologues et de les traîter pour ce qu’elles sont: tromperie criminelle afin de leurrer le tribunal à n’importe quel prix.

6. J’ai fui la scientologie depuis cinq ans, je me suis tu, car je voulais me recréer une existence différente, loin de leur contrôle obsessionnel, et il m’a fallu rassembler beaucoup de force pour y parvenir. Il y a une quinzaine, j’ai voulu savoir ce qu’il advenait du monde scientologue et me suis servi d’Internet pour enquèter. J’ai été très surpris d’y découvrir d’anciens amis ayant également quitté la secte, et les conflits en cours devant les tribunaux. J’ai contacté l’une de ces amies (Stacy Young) qui fut très proche dans la secte des années durant; elle m’a raconté ce qui se passait, en particulier tous les anciens membres dévoués à faire connaître les abus et la criminalité.

7. Ayant été au coeur des affaires, elle m’a mis en contact avec l’avocat Dan Liepold de Santa Ana, Californie; je lui ai rendu visite. Après avoir parlé à Me Leipold et à d’autres, je me suis rendu compte que ce niveau de tromperie criminelle ne pouvait se perpétuer sans rencontrer d’opposition. Je ne pouvais plus me taire, quel que soit le terrorisme exercé. J’ai offert au Tribunal de démontrer comment la scientologie fonctionne vis à vis des marques , des droits d’auteur et des tribunaux. J’encours donc le risque d’une campagne de haine de la part que cette pseudo-religion lancera contre moi, comme elle le fit à l’encontre d’autres gens, y compris des juges.

8. Commençons par quelques informations sur mon passé de scientologue. J’ai rencontré la scientologie en septembre 1976 à San Francisco. Fin 76, je me suis engagé dans le coprs para- militaire d’élite connus sous le nom de ‘Sea Org’ (organisation maritime). La Sea Org est le coeur même de l’empire scientologue. Le personnel Sea Org a plein pouvoir pour prendre le coçntrôle de toute organisation scientologique et d’en démettre du personnel, d’en modifier les comptes bancaires, et de faire fonctionner cette organisation comme si les employés Sea Org s’y trouvaient employés ou en étaient fondés de pouvoir, alors qu’ils ne le sont pas.

Cela se produit lorsque l’organisation fait partie de “L’Eglise de Scientologie”, ou qu’il s’agit d’une zone séculière (laïque) telle que Bridge Publications. Ceci n’est possible qu’en raison du fait que le seul personnel admis à encadrer ces organisations se compose de ceux qui sont pleinement d’accord sur le fait que la Sea Org est l’organisation de commandement suprème. Ce procédé d’élimination garantit qu’il n’y aura pas de cadres résistant ou protégeant l’intégrité de leur affaire. C’est ainsi que la Sea Org peut impunément opérer et continuer à se déclarer “organisation confraternelle” – à la manière de la Cosa Nostra.

9. Avant mon recrutement au RTC (Centre de Technologie religieuse) en 1982, j’ai surtout exercé au moyen des techniques scientologiques, techniques codifiées qui sont utilisées dans l’organisation. Ceci m’a considérablement familiarisé avec le matériau, dont l’essentiel est l’oeuvre du fondateur de la scientologie, L. Ron Hubbard. C’est cette expertise qui m’a fait choisir pour tenir un poste au sein du RTC.

10. On m’a transféré alors aux “Golden Era Studios”, près de Hemet, Californie, où j’ai alors habité et travaillé. C’est aussi appelé “Gold” ou “La Base”. La présence de RTC est tout à fait connue à Gold, mais tout y est caché aux gens qui n’en font pas partie, afin que Gold semble n’être qu’un studio de production, alors qu’il ne s’agit que d’une façade destinée à protéger et cacher la structure véritable de pouvoir de la scientologie, pour qu’on ne puisse lui délivrer d’assignations à comparaître. (Le système de sécurité convient tout à fait à une organisation militaire ultra-secrète, avec des détecteurs de mouvement, des senseurs enterrés, des caméras haute vitesse, des caméras avec vision de nuit, des gardes à moto, des barbelés qui détectent tout mouvement, etc).

RTC était à l’époque l’organisation la plus puissante, la plus élevée dans la hiérarchie et la plus influente des organisations scientologues. Tous ses membres étaient membres de la Sea Org. De ce fait, nous étions l’élite de la Base.

11. En Mars 1983, je devins Député Inspecteur Général Extérieur, membre du Conseil d’Administration de RTC et Trésorier. (Uniques autres membres : Warren Mc Shane, secrétaire, Vicky Aznaran, Présidente à l’époque). Lorsque l’on m’a nommé membre de RTC, j’ai dû signer une lettre de démission non datée. C’est une pratique normale pour tous les membres de Conseils scientologues, constituant un autre moyen destiné à contrôler les corporations scientologiques tout en leur laissant une apparence d’intégrité légale.

12. A ce poste, j’ai voyagé aux USA et à l’étranger pour le compte du RTC. Je suis allé en Allemagne, Italie, Australie, Royaume-Uni, Danemark, Mexique et Canada, parfois à plusieurs reprises. Ces voyages avaient pour but de créer des infrastructures servant d’interface avec le RTC en matière de marques commerciales. Je suis donc familiarisé avec la loi dans chacune de ces pays, où je me suis entretenu avec des cabinets d’avocats dont j’approuvais les documents, et j’y ai placé du personnel en mesure de faire les rapports au RTC, personnel servant de représentant sur place dans les affaires légales etc.

13. Lorsqu’Hubbard mourut en 1986, il y eut un lutte de pouvoir au sein de la scientologie durant quelques 18 mois, ayant pour effet l’expulsion de l’assistant d’Hubbard le plus puissant alors, Pat Broeker. Le pouvoir fut pris par David Miscavige qui purgea alors l’organisation de tous ceux qui étaient amis de Pat Broeker. A mi-87, on m’ôta de mon psote et on m’emprisonna à “Happy Valley”, propriété de l’organisation située quelques kms à l’Ouest de Gold, largement dans l’enclave de la Réserve Indienne de Soboba. Je suppose que la résignation que j’avais écrite lors de ma nomination au Conseil d’Administration fut alors utilisée pour faire croire que j’avais démissionné, alors que ce n’était pas le cas. Quelques mois plus tard, il était décidé que je m’enfuirais, on me donna diverses tâches à Gold, mais sous bonne garde. Je touchais la paye ordinaire de la Sea Org, 140 F par seminae (24$).

14. Il me faut clairifier pourquoi j’ai (ou d’autres ont) toléré un tel traitement aussi longtemps. L’aptitude à supporter des conditions et un traîtement aussi abusif fait partie d’une des exigences les plus nettes dans la Sea Org et du RTC. Nous étions sélectionnés et promus en raison de notre loyauté et tolérance démontrées jour après jour. C’est l’aptitude d’un membre de la Sea Org à recevoir les ordres, les éxécuter, tolérer des conditions dégradantes pour l’être qui donne de la valeur vis à vis des supérieurs et du système. C’est pourquoi on m’a promu aussi haut, pourquoi j’en ai toléré davantage encore. Si je revois ceci, je ne peux croire que j’ai réellement supporté un tel avilissement , une tel abus, et à quel point je me suis trompé sur ce qui était bon pour moi et pour les autres.

15. Fin 1991, ma femme Monika tomba enceinte. Malgré notre exaltation à cette idée, on lui ordonna de se faire avorter: en effet, on n’autorise pas les membres de la Sea Org à avoir des

enfants. cet ordre nous désespéra tous deux. Notre dévouement à la Sea Org était en complète contradiction avec notre désir d’avoir un enfant. En dépit de notre cauchemar et de ma résistance à cet ordre, cela fut fait. Monika fut totalement abattue par le contrecoup de ce qu’elle subissait, et c’est alors qu’elle m’annonça son désir de partir. Nous fuîmes, avec l’organisation à nos trousses cherchant à nous récupérer. Ils y parvinrent et nous convainquirent de revenir afin que nous “partions convenablement”.

16. Dès que nous fûmes à nouveau derrière les barbelés et les gardes, c’est sous la menace de ne plus revoir son père et sa soeur (également membres de la Sea Org) que Monika dût signer certains documents.

17. Voilà donc une autre méthode de pression que cache l’organisation. Tout comme dans les états policiers, elle peut ordonner et imposer à ses membres de ne plus avoir de relations familiales, voire, de se retourner contre la famille. Monika et moi savions que si elle le dsirait, l’organisation pourrait la tenir à l’écart de son père et de sa soeur (grâce aux contrôle exercé sur eux), si bien qu’elle ne pourrait plus les voir ni leur rendre visite. Ceci s’appelle “déconnection” en scientologie Nous avons accepté de signer les papiers et avons pu partir.

18. Le 26 juillet 1998, l’un des avocats de la secte expédia un long fax à Dan Liepold, pour m’obliger au silence; ce n’était pas leur première menace voilée à mon encontre. L’avocat de la scientologie avait inclus les documents qu’ils m’avaient fait signer, que j’avais accepté de signer sous les conditions ci-dessus. J’inclus cette lettre et les documents que j’ai été forcé à signer sous contrainte comme première preuve de ce que pratique la secte pour faire taire ceux qui voudraient parler. (pièce jointe n°1). Cela ne me surprend pas, puisqu’il s’agit d’une tactique courante de créer ou faire signer un document mettant la personne en cause, document qu’on utilisera en cas de besoin.

19. J’ai aussi assisté à la destruction et à l’altération de documents pour la protection du groupe. Vers Avril 83, j’étais présent lors d’une réunion à Los Angeles, Californie, au bureau scientologique d’A.S.I. (Société de Services à l’Auteur). ASI se présentait comme “agent littéraire” pour Hubbard, mais c’était en réalité la tête de l’empire hubbardien à cette époque. Toute la scientologie était dirigée depuis ASI. C’est à ASI que diverses entités scientologues venaient prendre leurs ordres.

20. David Miscavige était présent lors de cette réunion – il était alors patron d’ASI, ainsi que Vicky Aznaran, qui tenait le poste de Député Inspecteur Général du RTC et Lymon Spurlock, “Directeur des affaires de Clientèle” pour ASI. M. Miscavige s’est inquiété lors de ce rassemblement de la possibilité d’une descente du FBI sur la scientologie. Aucune des églises n’avait encore reçu le statut d’exemption d’impôt aux USA.

21. Une des causes de principe ayant empèché cet accord d’exemption par l’IRS venait du fait que le fondateur de la scientologie, Hubbard, était en fait agent dirigeant de l’organisation , en

complète contradiction avec les statuts légaux. Nous savions pertinemment que cela violait les règles de l’IRS et qu’il fallait le cacher.

22. On s’inquiétait du fait que l’IRS puisse obtenir des centaines d’ordres quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels écrits par Hubbard et distribués dans toute la scientologie. Ces ordres étaient en général appelés des “conseils” afin d’éviter qu’ils ne fassent apparaître le commandement scientologique exercé par Hubbard. C’était le fait que ces ordres et “conseils” puissent servir pour démontrer le commandement exercé qui constituait le coeur du problème.

23.Comme on craignait déjà qu’un “avis” de LRH ne puisse tomber en de mauvaises mains, ses ordres étaient écrits de façon à pouvoir nier qu’ils émanaient de lui. Son nom n’y apparaissait pas. Il n’était jamais cité, sauf à la troisième personne. Il n’y avait pas de signature et les réponses qu’on faisait ne portaient qu’un “Dear Sir” – Cher Monsieur. L’envoi ne comportait qu’un simple “*” astérisque pour le routage. Néanmoins, si quelqu’un mettait son nez là-dedans, il serait fort peu resté de doutes quant au fait que nous étions en communication avec Hubbard via ASI., et qu’il nous disait , à nous et à toutes les entités, comment faire plus d’argent pour son compte.

24. David Miscavige déclara précisément qu’ASI “s’occupait déjà du problème” en se débarrassant de tous les documents impliquant le commandement exercé par Hubbard sur la scientologie. Il annonça qu’il avait ordonné que les “conseils” et ordres de LRH soient rassemblés et expédiés par camion dans une usine de recyclage du Comté de Riverside, où les documents seraient mis en pâte, méthode paraît-il meilleure que le simple déchiquetage. Je reçus des instructions afin de débarrasser les autres organisations scientologues des ordres de LRH. Ceci incluait la CSC (église de scientologie de Californie), la CSI (église de scientologie, Internationale) et le RTC.

25. Plusieurs semaines après, je fus convié à une seconde réunion au sujet de la poursuite de la destruction de la documentation concernant l’organigramme légal des entités. Etaient présents: David Miscavige, Lymon Spurlock, Vicky Aznaran, Norman Starkey et Marty Rathbun. Nous apprîmes de Miscavige qu’un tribunal avait ordonné pour la première fois de produire des documents concernant un ancien membre de la scientologie nommé Lawrence Wollersheim, qui était en procès contre l’église de scientologie de Californie (CSC). La Cour avait ordonné la production du dossier de “préclair” complet de M. Wollersheim.

26. Un “dossier de préclair” n’est que l’un des dossiers conservés au sujet des membres. Le dossier de pc contient les enregistrements écrits de toutes les “confessions” faites par l’adepte. Cela signifie qu’il contient non seulement les choses les plus génantes, mais qu’il indique aussi les problèmes qu’une personne peut avoir avec l’organisation, y compris ses réclamations. Ce dossier de préclair grossit au fur et à mesure de l’avancée en scientologie.

27. Le dossier de M. Wollersheim contenait plusieurs milliers de pages, et faisait 1,80 d’épaisseur. Au début de cette réunion, il fut décidé que ce dossier serait rédigé et arrangé afin de faire disparaître toute preuve ou document pouvant assister M. Wollersheim lors de son procès contre la CSC. On s’inquiétait aussi du fait que des matériaux confidentiels des niveaux Clair, OT 1, OT2, OT 3 et ‘NED pour OTs” seraient accessibles pour inspection publique au cas où l’on produirait bel et bien les dossiers. On enseigne aux scientologues qu’on peut mourir de pneumonie si l’on apprend, sans une très longue préparation, ce que contiennent ces niveaux secrets. En définitive, nous produisîmes une cinquantaine de pages au tribunal. Le dossier de M. Wollersheim fut purgé sur ordre expresse de David Miscavige.

28. On m’informa par la suite qu’un second ordre du tribunal exigeait de produire tout le dossier de M. Wollersheim. Face à cette menace, David Miscavige donna ordre de réduire tout le dossier à l’état de pâte à papier.

29. Toujours sur ordre de David Miscavige, j’ai ordonné à Ricky Aznaran de prendre les dossiers de M. Wollersheim et de les amener à l’usine de recyclage de Riverside pour qu’ils soient ainsi détruits. Quelques heures plus tard, M. Aznaran revint et confirma que les dossiers avaient été mis en pâte et me montra même une petite bouteille en disant “voilà ce qu’il en reste”.

30. Le matériel dont David Miscavige avait ordonné la destruction et que Ricky Aznaran avait fait réduire en pâte était celui que le tribunal avait ordonné de produire dans le procès Wollersheim contre CSC à Los Angeles.

31. Début 1983, j’ai assisté à une réunions au bureau scientologue d’ASI de Los Angeles. S’ytrouvaient: David Miscavige, Lymon Spurlock, Vicky Aznaran, Patricia Brice et Edith Buchele. Il avait trait aux droits d’auteur (copyrights) de la scientologie. David Miscavige indiqua entre autres que le scientologie avait des “problèmes” à propos du statut des droits d’auteur de nombreux matériaux publiés par Hubbard en train de devenir “matériaux publics” du fait qu’ils n’avaient pas été enregistrés durant des années au bureau des Copyrights des USA. David Miscavige indiqua que la scientologie avait omis de faire enregistrer les copyrights de milliers de pages de matériaux scientologiques écrits par Hubbard. Ceci comprenait nombre de Lettres de Règlements et Bulletins publiés par LRH. Hubbard écrivait différents documents, dont les “Policy Letters, ou Lettres de Règlements” – imprimées en vert sur blanc; des ‘LRH EDs’ ou Directives de l’Exécutif de LRH, utilisées pour diverses causes (imprimées en bleu sur blanc) et des “Bulletins Techniques ou HCOBs” au sujet des aspects techniques de la scientologie, des technologies d’audition, des règlements et d’éthique.

32. A cette même réunion, David Miscavige ordonna spécifiquement à Patricia Brice (qui était alors secrétaire personnelle d’Hubbard et employée par l’ASI) de commencer à procéder à l’enregistrement en masse de toutes les oeuvres d’Hubbard. Ceci fut ordonné en dépit du fait que M. Miscavige savait déjà que nombre de ces matériaux faisaient déjà partie du domaine public.

Je sais donc personnellement qu’au début 1983, la scientologie entama un vaste programme destiné à enregistrer l’oeuvre de M. Hubbard au Bureau des Enregistrements des Copyrights pour les USA.

33. Compte tenu des nombreuses années passées à lire les directives scientologiques, dont le temps passé comme “Superviseur de la Co-audition” [audition d'étudiants en tandem, ndt] et comme “Inspecteur Général Officier de Repèchage”, je connais très bien le contenu, la forme, la distribution et la publication des oeuvres et des directives scientologiques, y compris celles de Ron Hubbard. En tant qu’officier de Repèchage, ma tâche consistait à m’assurer que ceux qui utilisaient la “technologie” scientologue collent parfaitement aux directives officielles de la scientologie.

34. Le conseiller de M. Wollersheim m’a demandé de revoir les pièces BPI (émission au grand public, ndt) jointes aux fins de la révision de la demande de jugement sommaire. Elles occupaient plus de 20 cartons. En parcourant ces boites de pièces, j’ai choisi des documents au hasard pour les inspecter. Le tableau ci-après explique le résultat de cet examen de certaines pièces. Lors de l’examen des pièces du plaingnant M. Wollersheim, j’ai comparé les originaux supposés de LRH à certaines éditions antérieures dans une compilation contenant ces mêmes documents. J’ai utilisé une “Edition n° 1 ″ de l’OEC, le “Cours d’Organisation pour Cadres” de la scientologie pour comparaison avec ce que “BPI ” dit être des originaux de LRH.

35. J’ai joint ici des copies des diverses pièces de matériaux de LRH qui furent publiées par la scientologie au début des années 70, prouvant de façon évidente que les notices de copyright sur les documents supposés “originaux” n’étaient pas présentes, mais avaient été ajoutées comme “originaux” postérieurement.

36. Ce tableau documente les observations que j’ai pu faire à l’examen des documents choisis au hasard. A ce propos, je pense que le Tribunal devrait noter ce qui suit:

1. Les pièces B-1289; 1290; 1291; 1292 and 1293 contiennent une notice de copyright de 1953 . Les enregistrements ont pourtant été exécutés pour une publication de compilation datant de 1955.

2. Les pièces B4; B-94 and B-215 ont des notices des années 50, 60 et 70 parlant de la CSI. La CSI est l’église de scientologie internationale, née en 1981. Par conséquent, ces “originaux” n’en sont pas, ou bien les notices ont été placées sur les documents longtemps après leur publication. (voir pièces 2,3,4 jointes).

3. Les pièces B-59; B-369; and B-371 ont des notices de copyright de 1958. Pourtant, ces originaux comparés à ceux de la première édition des compilations des années 70 n’ont pas ces notices de copyright, ce qui indique qu’elles ont été ajoutées dans les “originaux” après la compilation en question. 4. La pièce B-2 est nettement différente de celle publiée dans le cours OEC d’origine, dans le volume 2, 1ère édition de 70 (Pièce jointe n°8)

5.La pièce fournie à Factnet B-1827 ne ressemble pratiquement pas à l’original BPI.

6. Pièces B-1288; B-214; and C-3. Les originaux BPI ne contiennent pas de notice de copyright.

7. La pièce B-1 montre qu’il s’agit non pas d’un original, mais d’une “publication II”

8. Les pièces B-248, B-249 et B-157 indiquent au début qu’elles ont été publiées ailleurs avant la publication “originale”.

37. En vertu de mes connaissances en tant que membre du staff scientologue, comprenant ma fonction “d’Officier de Repèchage en Chef”, et d’après l’examen des pièces soumises par BPI pour supporter leur demande renouvelée de jugement sommaire, il apparaît que nombre des “originaux” soumis par BPI ne sont pas du tout des originaux et que les notices de copyright ont été ajoutées aux documents bien après la publication, en faussant cette date de copyright;

Le déclarant n’a rien d’autre à ajouter pour l’instant.

DEFINITION

L. Ron Hubbard originally defined the concept of Suppressive Groups in a Policy Letter dated 29 June 1968 ( Enrollment in Suppressive Groups ).

He stated “ SUPPRESSIVE GROUPS , are defined as those which seek to destroy Scientology or which specialize in injuring or killing persons or damaging their cases or which advocate the suppression of mankind”.

However, in actual practice, the Church of Scientology (and Hubbard himself for that matter), has branded as Suppressive anyone who started a splinter or divergent group.

THE TRUTH:

WHAT TRULY CAUSES A GROUP TO BE BRANDED SUPPRESSIVE

By actual record, the Church of Scientology declares as Suppressive:

1- Any splinter group, whatever were their motives or activities.

2- Any whistleblower or group denouncing illegal acts performed or ordered by the Church of Scientology or any of its principals.

3- Anyone refusing to comply with orders issued by the Church Elite, no matter how much these may contravene approved policy or the published aims of Scientology.

4- Anyone found to be applying Scientology, or a derivative of it without the official approval or without the paying of tithes to the Church of Scientology. Contrarily to any mainstream Church, unqualified and untrained people will make the assessment of such activities and uniformly find them to be bad and harmful without any real investigation or competence to do so..

5- Any organization whose principals are known by the Church of Scientology to be former members and that teaches anything of a mental, Spiritual or Religious nature, even when it has no real connection with Scientology nor seeks to compete with it.

6- Any group or Association that has copied ideas found in Scientology or L. Ron Hubbard writings and seek to apply them, without the official approval of the Church of Scientology and the payment of large amounts of royalties. This especially applies to any new Churches created in accordance with the laws of the land.

7- Any group of individuals that seeks to challenge the activities of the Church of Scientology or its leaders, even when invoking the writings of L. Ron Hubbard and the original materials written by Hubbard in the 1950s, which the current Church of Scientology is very fond of calling scriptures . © 2013 Pierre Ethier

A exhaustive and impartial analysis of top 50 splinter or dissenting group from the Church of Scientology reveals the following facts:

THE FACTS:

THE TRUE ATTRIBUTES OF SPLINTER OR DIVERGENT GROUPS

1- Each and every Splinter/Divergent group purported and sought to promote the ideas contained in Scientology and consistent with its philosophy. This includes the entirety of what is labeled as “FREEZONE” or Independent Field. Therefore far from suppressing Scientology, they uniformly tried to promote it. FACT: Splinter/Divergent Groups do not seek to suppress Scientology.

2- People who have claimed that a splinter Group or FREEZONE/Independent caused someone’s actual injury or Death are very few in number (less than 3%) and every instance dates from the 1990s or the 21st Century as a small clique of particularly unethical, poorly trained and ignorant individuals started to rule or influence the key factions of the Freezone/Independent Field . The majority of the assertions of actual harm or death in the Freezone/Independent Field are anonymously made and easily traceable to the Church of Scientology or its agents. Since the Church of Scientology is among the most DEAD-AGENTED organization on the planet (except in the blind eyes of its fanatical promoters and OSA agents/collaborators), the validity of those claims is very easy to dispute.

On the other hand, the number of people documented with claims that the Church of Scientology has caused injury or contributed directly to the death of people is in the high Hundreds, or perhaps in the thousands. All one has to do is use the Internet Search Engine or visit the detailed files contained thousands of different accounts, testimonies and News media stories in the Internet web sites that are dedicated to the denunciation of abuses by the Church of Scientology.

1001- TH WAY TO DIE

A statistical analysis and study of OTs remaining faithful to the Church reveal a truly scary trend: Life expectancy for them is a mere 57 years of age: that is 20 to 25 years below the national average for all but the poorest and under-developped countries on Earth. Therefore, even giving reports exclusively written for the benefit of the Church of Scientology credibility, the ratio of people allegedly injured or killed by the Church of Scientology outnumbers the Splinter Groups/Freezone/Independents by over 300 to 1.

FACT: None of the Splinter/Divergent Groups has ever specialized in injuring or Killing persons.

3- As far as advocating the Suppression of Mankind, there is no evidence that any of the 500 groups listed on any list of Splinter or Divergent groups has ever advocated or encouraged such acts. On the other hand, the Church of Scientology has regularily promoted ideas described in the “ten stages of genocide” and frequently advocated that people be deprived or liberty or their Human rights should they happen to be blacklisted for whatever reason.

FACT: None of the Splinter/Divergent Groups has ever advocated the Suppression of Mankind.

DO FREEZONE/INDEPENDENTS GROUPS TRULY HARM CASES?

4- While the results achieved by Splinter groups and Freezone factions tend to vary according to ideas and quality in their application, only a small handful of Independent practitioners (less than 5% – none of them being member of an organized group) has shown that they may be possibly labeled as “harmful”. Even that claim is in dispute.

The matter of damaging people’s cases is largely a subjective one.

What of the auditor who falsely validates the hallucinatory claims of a pc to please him/her? Is he truly damaging the case of the person?

What of the auditor who validates the pc who is convinced that he audits remotely and telepathically the world leaders, including President Obama?

Or how about the one who believes he/she gets daily instructions from the spiritual plane where LRH gives them daily advice on where to purchase anything from picnic foam plates to a large Plasma TV?

What of people attesting to OT8, OT48 or even OT 1008?

Most of these people claim to be happy, though many of their peers tend to view them as delusional.

For each person pointing them up as “damaged cases”, there will be those who promote them as exemplary cases.

Merely making people happy with their state of case is a questionable criteria. A number of cases, by actual record, incompetently audited people can turn on some form of Psychosis and Deep Hatred after having been audited as a victim, when they were actually a chronic aggressor © 2013 Pierre Ethier

and abuser of the rights of others. If one was to audit an “Hitler type” personality, the latter may enjoy his newly gained abilities as a wonderful tool for more effectively committing genocide or spread his hatred against those he feel should be destroyed.

PREVIOUSLY DAMAGED CASES

Lastly, of supreme, but often neglected importance is whether the person’s case was already damaged by the Church of Scientology or its predecessors in the field of Mental and Spiritual practices.

In the vast majority of cases, it is simply impossible to ascertain. The Church of Scientology, typically blames its failed cases on Psychiatry and often invents newly discovered psychiatry related links to rationalize even the most justified of attacks on them.

Every case that has openly testified against a Freezone or Independent auditor for being abused, misaudited or otherwise mishandled, had done the exact same thing toward the Church of Scientology a number of years earlier.

Policies on Sources of Troubles written by L. Ron Hubbard describes responsible-for-condition cases as those insisting things such as some auditor or thing being “wholly responsible for the terrible condition I am in.” the same policy states that a “ review of these cases show that they were in the same or worse condition long before auditing … and that their antagonism extends to anyone who seeks to help them”.

FACT: None of the Splinter/Divergent Groups has ever specialized in Damaging Cases. Damaged cases are nearly always attributable to many causes and the evidence supports that the Church of Scientology does far more toward Damaging people’s cases than any Splinter/Divergent group ever has.

HOW TO DETERMINE IF A PRACTICE IS DAMAGING TO A CASE

The correct method of determining if someone’s case has been harmed by a practice is to confine oneself to the actions of the person (something that can be impartially examined) rather than the person feelings, beliefs or alleged character (something largely subjective)

The following questions should be examined and answered based on honest and thorough examination, while brushing away any and all bias and rumors:

1- Is the individual, according to the world at large, as opposed to groups he/she is associated with (due to the likelihood of mutual out-rudiments) becoming a better person? By better person © 2013 Pierre Ethier

is meant someone who help others and who behave in accordance to a Moral Code such as the one written in the Way to Happiness. Because delusional or unethical individuals tend to PR themselves an actual thorough and independent examination of their activities is required.

2- Is the person more successful along their dynamics? (especially the first three)

3- What is the level of Communication of the person? Is it highly destructive toward selected individuals or are they focusing on constructive activities

4- Is the person a PR artist?

5- Are the friends or associates of the individual people of Good-Will, (even if they may have made mistakes), or people actually involved in, actually PR artists and/or con men due to their destructive activities? Who are their friends? Who are their enemies?

6- Are they hypocritically posing as “Free Independent” while covertly acting as Informant for the Church of Scientology (the one organization who has publicly vowed at trying to destroy all Independent Scientologist and practitioners). Are their enemies the same as the Church of Scientology?

LAW OF EXCLUDED MIDDLE

“THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND”

Logic, in spite of the existence of the Data Series, is something largely unknown to Scientologists. The data Series written by L. Ron Hubbard were meant to complement the fundamentals of LOGIC. But most Scientologist (both within the Church and without) view it as a replacement, therefore they tend to act in a completely illogical manner.

Normal and ethical people often state that “The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend”.

Many people who have been indoctrinated by some of the false ideas taught within the Church of Scientology tend to stick to those false ideas long after they have left or even publicly disavowed any beliefs in that organization or even its philosophy and original ideas.

It is a typically action by the same kind of people to willy-nilly provide assistance to the Church of Scientology when it seeks to malign its enemies, by providing all manner of Black PR and lies against their common enemies.

In most cases, the providing of Black PR against their perceived or imaginary enemies, in forums carefully chosen because OSA and Church agents are known to frequent them is meticulously

calculated to harm its target by teh typical weapons of choice of the coward: Lies, Blackmail and defamation.

The result, uncomforted by those who have a low ability to confront Evil or Reality, is that the individuals publicly attacking the Church of Scientology Enemies by using defamation, Blackmail and lies, have become de facto collaborators of the Church of Scientology and are treated as informants and reliable sources by that organization.

The net result is to weaken the target of their hatred (often an individual with limited resources or time to defend himself) and strengthen the Church of Scientology (an organization documented to allocate unlimited resources toward the suppression of its enemies).

The only possible conclusion is that the individuals claiming to be enemies of the Church, yet actively aid the Church in its attacks of its enemies are either incredibly stupid, hypocritical or an unholy mixture of both.

Many of the EX-Scientologist boards starting with their owners and moderators act that way. The same goes with a number of Freezone/Independent Boards, in particular those controlled by the self appointed Freezone PRs, who know very well their board is infested by OSA agents and operatives, though they profess otherwise.

The only reason a board like ESMB has been allowed to continue to exist, in spite of it numerous violations of the law, and the vast resources and connections of the Church of Scientology (and its ability to get it shut it down any day it chooses to), is that it is viewed by OSA as an invaluable tool to malign its enemies and the eagerness of those who portray themselves as Victims of Scientology to do its own dirty work. And they do it for free!

Such Church allies can be created by incompetent or reckless Freezone/Independent auditors when they bypass the case of their pc and allow them to remain stuck in earlier bad and/or traumatic experiences at the hands of the Church of Scientology, yet attempt to audit them on Upper Levels or Rundowns. The resulting Blind fury or Hatred is typically targeted at anyone who may point out, especially correctly, the technical shortcomings of their auditor (the one largely responsible for restimulating the person).

THE LIST OF ENEMIES AND SUPPRESSIVE PERSONS/GROUPS

SOED Flag ED 2830RB published on the 25 July 1992 is the last list of Suppressives published by the Church of Scientology. It proved to be such an embarrassment when it was leaked on the Internet, that the Church amended its policy of updating it and has since kept its ever-growing list of Declared Suppressive Persons, a secret.

All one has to do is look at the historical records of the history and development of Scientology or the names of LRH former close associates and confidantes to recognize a veritable “Who is Who” of the History of Scientology in that issue alone.

The Church of Scientology use blind zealots, fanatics and extremists such as those dedicating themselves at making Hatred web pages on imaginary enemies of the Church of Scientology, those stalking defectors to harass them and those who believe that spying on people of good-will to satisfy the pernicious agenda of OSA. The common denominator of all these people is a deep fear of the light of Truth and the exposing of their own crimes, lies and atrocities. That terror dominates their should so much that they become unable to recognize as an OUTPOINT (or illogic) the simple fact that anyone who sees 90% of one their former associates or comrades has all the attributes Paranoia. Paranoia is a condition largely created by having committed earlier a large number of harmful acts.

To summarize:

Labeling Splinter or Divergent Groups as Suppressive is based on lies and used as an expedient to rationalize the blatant disregard by the Church of Scientology for people rights to practice their own religion as they see fit or express their opinion .

True Suppressive Groups obviously do exist: The Nazis, Organized Crime, Al-Qaeda are a few of them, but they are never listed by the Church of Scientology in the lists of Enemies of Mankind, while their own defectors always are.

Declaring Splinter or Divergent groups as Suppressive is an entirely political tool whose main aim is to stamp out competition. Further it attempts to maintain what is advertised as “the only road to Spiritual Freedom” and Spiritual redemption for Man as a Monopoly in the hands of a self-appointed Elite. That latter point is Ethically as reprehensible as can be, since its only possible result should it come to fruition is the Enslavement of Mankind.

Observation of the actual actions done by that Elite clearly indicates that the personal Aims of the Individuals that control that Elite have nothing to do with the purported Aims of Scientology nor its published Credo. On the contrary the aims of the Elite have mainly to do with the accumulation of wealth in the most expedient possible way (typically through the secret use of Slave labor, Sweat Shops and Intimidation) and in satisfying an insatiable thirst for Power over the souls that the Church of Scientology still controls.

The way to minimize the formation of Splinter Group is for the organization to remain open to the fruits of observation and to suggestions and to acknowledge people. Most Splinter Groups were created as a result of an unhandled upset or ARCX (Disagreement, Injustice, Invalidation). By keeping quality controls high and verifying that the proper standards and protocols are adhered to, results automatically follow and the demand for switching to wild unproven ideas

will remain to a minimum. To utterly prevent the formation of Splinter or Divergent groups is simply impossible without adopting totalitarian measures and keeping a thought a police active.

If one is to be in the business of helping people achieve higher levels of self-determinism, one need to accept that fact. The Church of Scientology has become akin to a 1984 type Orwellian nightmare because it refused to understand that simple principle.

EXCAL: WHAT IT IS EXCAL is short for EXCALIBUR, A NON-LRH and PSEUDO-SCIENTOLOGY procedure invented by Bill Robertson with the assistance of Ulrich Kramer in the mid 1980s

.Claims were made that it was "telepathically communicated by LRH" in spite of its complete disregard of the C/S Series, repeated admonitions to transgress the auditor code (evaluations) and its invention of unusual solutions to address PTS phenomenon. It advocates the mixing of Dianetics and Scientology techniques, one of the most fundamental LRH "NO-NO" about auditing.

(See my article on the DISTINCTION between TELEPATHY and MENTAL TELEGRAPHY: two entirely different phenomena.)

It is characterized by leading questions, and indoctrinating/evaluating a being to handle snags in running its procedure. It is loosely inspired by NOTs and most of its workable "breakthroughs" were already written within the original NOTS Series

.A number of professional Excalibur practitioners have been taught/indoctrinated to Black PR NOTs and Solo NOTs and to make false claims about its alleged "non-workability" and to spread scary tales of Death and Destruction about NOTs, when in fact NOTs is frequently misunderstood and even more often misapplied and incompetently done, especially in the FZ, where there are currently only two people (myself and another auditor) who have ever audited in a NOTs HGC or been trained by a properly trained NOTs C/S. (Robertson never trained on NOTs and never was a NOTs Auditor. Ulrich Kramer, Excalibur co-author, who is better known under the pseudonym of L. Kin was not a Classed auditor but a SHSBC Supervisor. He eventually disagreed with Robertson’s ideas and abandoned him to start his own independent practice based on personal ideas and his "disagreements with Hubbard")

.Excalibur does give results, in particular at the beginning, because it incorporates (thought quite inexpertly) elements from the Book of Case Remedies and for that reason will be found to produce the most dramatic results on either failed or misrun NOTs pcs. Just like the original KSW says, when results are obtained through the misapplication of the tech, it simply means that the tech principles that were still being applied correctly are responsible for the results, NOT that the unusual solutions that were dreamed up are meant to supplant known and existing Tech.

I make this statement after repairing dozens of Excalibur cases, and studying the entirety of attested Robertson originals that he wrote in his personal views of the Tech

Again, it is entirely plausible for people to get great wins when they started to get Excalibur.

The problem will be one in the longer run, just like whenever unusual solutions are being applied.

This is based on decades of experience and the study of over 10 000 cases.

I am further saying that applying expertly the C/S Series and Book of Case Remedies the way they were meant to be applied would result in even greater and often faster results than any unusual solution ever could. Better yet, it will lead to long-term stability and greater self-determism.

THE JEAN-LUC BARBIER AFFAIR

FOREWORD The story of Jean-Luc Barbier is without a doubt the ultimate cause célèbre among the various tales and scandals that involve the Church of Scientology in Switzerland.

In 1989 Jean-Luc Barbier moved through the Upper Levels of Scientology in Clearwater, Florida, until his progress came to an unceremonious halt after he adamantly refused membership in WISE , a Scientology affiliation seeking to run each business owned by Scientologists as if it were franchises and which exact a 15% commission of the business income. His subsequent demands for refund of Scientology service were met by 10 years of stalling tactics from the Church. When the monies were finally paid, the Church publicly labeled him as psychotic, but Jean-Luc Barbier won a court case against the Church for slander in late 2006.

I have read numerous documents published by Mr. Barbier on the Internet and I can testify that according to my experiences and personal observations all the declarations that he has made concerning his experiences with the Church of Scientology between 1989 and 1990, are entirely accurate.

I know this for a fact, because I was not only there, but I was also his auditor. (An auditor is a Scientology practitioner or therapist)

AN AFFAIR THAT TURNED SOUR

I first met Jean-Luc Barbier at Scientology's most advanced Center located in Clearwater, Florida, in early spring of 1989. Because I spoke French and was one of the qualified auditors to provide upper Level counseling that he would soon require, I started upon a program of sessions with Jean-Luc.

I do not believe I am revealing any personal secrets of Jean-Luc if I state that he had always appeared to me to be "normal” and “balanced". I also liked him. According to Scientology's own criteria and in sharp contrast to the outrageous statements made by official spoke-persons of the Church of Scientology, he had to be in good mental condition, in good spirits and most certainly not mentally sick, in order to be invited to do Scientology's Upper Levels. The adjudication of the mental state and hence preparedness for the Scientology Upper Levels is never granted by the auditor, but rather by a group of "Case Supervisors", who are viewed as the most technically advanced individuals in a Scientology organization. Unanimously and according to their own criteria, in 1989 Scientology Case Supervisors declared Jean-Luc Barbier to be "mentally healthy".

Things moved along, at least according to my perception at the time, in a rather normal fashion until the moment when a number of Church salesmen, called registrars in Scientology lingo, prompted by a demonic fervor to increase the Church’s already significant wealth, put considerable pressure to extort from its parishioners, including Jean-Luc, the greatest possible amount of money they would be able to squeeze, stopping just short of beggaring them. The extraction of large sums of money from its adherents, frequently described as bilking, is a routine procedure undertaken by the Church of Scientology. Experienced and ruthless salesmen are used to subject those perceived as potential income donors to the strongest of sales pressure tactics until they eventually crack and empty their bank accounts, or they borrow up to the limits of their credit availability, and even beyond, through a number of devious schemes.

Having had to deal over and over with the upsets and nightmarish wake that follows such unethical behavior, I frequently wrote it up, hoping that something would eventually get done about it, but it nothing ever. I eventually reached the conclusion that the entire infrastructure of the Church of Scientology is based on greed rather than serving others.

Toward the end of his trip, Jean-Luc was deeply perturbed. The reason seemed amply clear to me: he had been pointlessly threatened by arcane curses and eternal damnation by labeling him as a Suppressive © 2013 Pierre Ethier

Person, and was repeatedly accused of selfishness and egotism because he had challenged the idea of cleaning up all of his bank accounts in the Church's favor.

To the degree that my limited means allowed, I sought to comfort Jean-Luc, but merely seeking to handle an upset without addressing its underlying cause, obviously could not lead to any significant relief. In actual practice, the Church of Scientology currently considers itself to be not only a true jewel but also the only organization in the entire universe, capable of saving or rehabilitating Mankind.

Imbued with such beliefs, the official representatives of the Church of Scientology, a good number of whom I have personally known for years, feel completely offended at the mere suggestion that the Church of Scientology should ever redress the slightest wrong it may have caused or make any apologies, no matter how vile the treatments it may have inflicted upon those now seeking justice.

Upon return to his native Switzerland, Jean-Luc evidently came to his senses and became seriously disillusioned with the Church of Scientology.

Whenever the Church is confronted by disgruntled customers or legal threats, the Church of Scientology adopts the “Safe Solution” that both the Church of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard are infallible. Consequently, it will always retroactively deem any unpleasant outcome to be the product of “irresponsible” and unauthorized action by members who had nothing but malice on their minds. In other words they make a profuse use of scapegoats. These scapegoats are evidently never among who continue to cram more and more funds into their already brimming coffers. One of the notable exceptions occurred when the fundraisers created havoc of such magnitude that calls were made by Governments to put a cap on Scientology activities. Such happened in Sweden in 1986 and in France in 1987.

In the case of Jean-Luc Barbier, I was made the scapegoat in 1989. As described above, the current philosophy of the Church of Scientology is that L.Ron Hubbard and the Church he created are infallible. A blind faith in that infallibility leads to the unavoidable conclusion that for any non-optimum result on a person they process, both the auditor and the case supervisor have deliberately sabotaged the individual case through a combination of recklessness and malice. Any objection to the effect that the auditor and Case Supervisor have nothing to gain and everything to loose by acting in such a maliciously is countered by the explanation that non-optimum results actually prove that the case Supervisor has an evil streak and that the auditor has been busily making false session reports.

THE SCIENTOLOGY JUSTICE SYSTEM The Justice system in Scientology, as it is being currently practiced in the Church of Scientology, not only presumes guilt by the accused, but views any pleas of “not-guilty as "evidence of guilt and of non- responsibility". This doctrine is based on the aberrant notion that since people are entirely responsible for their condition, they are also responsible for any mishap that ever happens to them. Hence because this means that everything is their fault, anyone daring to reject the "Scientology Justice System" or denounce

the Church of Scientology or those that extort funds in its name is guilty of the most heinous of crimes and worst possible calumny. This is actually the required frame of mind of those who must operate as representatives of the Church of Scientology. Anyone operating on different premises would be ineligible to represent the position of the Church.

The current Scientology Justice concept of Jurisprudence is deeply anchored in concepts and ideas that have fallen out of use in the Western World since the Middle Ages and the days of the Inquisition. According to those barbaric concepts, any irreverence or disagreement with the doctrine that is judged a priori to be orthodox by the inquisitor (the Ethics Officer or its delegates in Scientology lingo), is an automatic demonstration of guilt. The heretic so found is liable to the most excruciating of punishments. A rebellion against the Inquisitor (or his Superiors) is perceived as the ultimate blasphemy. Depending upon the disposition of those called to punish the guilty, cruelty and sadism may be used. Therefore should come as no great revelation to say that in 1989, I was made entirely responsible for what happened to Jean-Luc Barbier and the entire wake that followed the inept handlings done by the Office of Special Affairs.

For weeks, I was subjected to tortuous and cruel punishments with the view of humiliating me rather for the purpose of extracting from me even more than the 80 to 90 hours of work I was already subjected to every week for less than $30 pay.

Naturally those who abused Jean-Luc and treated him like dirt, were rewarded promotions and large bonuses later that year. To my knowledge, they are still doing the same thing have the same job.

Three years later it was my turn to leave the Church of Scientology for good. By then I was acknowledged as the top Class XII auditor which is not as grandiose an accomplishment as it sounds, because over thirty Class XIIs had already left, including all the most experienced. I was the best that remained. Class XII is the most advanced training level in Scientology. I had reached a level such that there was nobody left in the entire Church that could still teach me anything about Scientology. Anyone else had been conveniently been removed by the leadership.

Ultimately faced with the entire knowledge of what is Scientology and what it is not, I was finally able to see everything that was good with it as well as everything that evil.

EPILOGUE

I have fully turned the page to a very successful and rewarding life since those horrible days in the Church of Scientology. I remain a firm believer in the development and evolution of self and one's intellectual abilities. I view ultimate enlightenment and awareness as only achievable in the presence of honesty, integrity and respect for others. I now see an insurmountable chasm separating the philosophy

originally proposed by Scientology in 1952 and its current application by extremists or organizations which have vested servitude and control of others as part of their agenda.

I feel no bitterness about my twenty years as a staff member in the Church of Scientology. I still have fond memories of Jean-Luc Barbier. Sometimes, I hope that he feels the same. Because I know the details of a many abominations that occurred in the Church and most of them with the sanction of its leadership, I will always view the Church of Scientology as one the vilest organizations existing on this planet.

IS SCIENTOLOGY THE SCIENCE OF EVIL?

L. Ron Hubbard, and even Psychiatry define Insanity as an Idee Fixe that dominate an individual so much that they become unable to act or think except through that fixed idea.

Out of the OT X materials, CHARACTER, comes the following definition: "Insanity is the adoption of a Single Stable Datum, at the exclusion of all others".

The dramatization of Evil purposes, especially when it is being directed at people, starts with an act of Cowardice: the individual is unable/ unwilling to face the true source of his/her inner conflicts and seeks to put the entire blame on a target they feel will be "popular" and easily agreed upon by those with similar mental problems. This is well explained in the Policies on "Sources of Troubles", where a small percentage of people will obsessively seek to lay the entirety of their problems on an individual, book or group. Years of experiences both in and outside the Church conclusively demonstrate that those who blame others for their own condition always greatly exaggerate things and were always suffering from the issues they complain about long before they came across what they now label as the source of their problems. In the data series, a policy called, "the Why is God" clearly explains that the answer to solving one's own problem lie within oneself, not in blaming someone else.

A Wise and old Judge that frequently appears on TV has repeatedly observed: "It is easier to confront Anger than Pain". In other words, when people face some inner suffering, some will try to find an innocent scapegoat to blame every evil on, just like the Jews in the Bible would cast the totality of the Sins and crime of their entire people on a Goat that had until then minded its own business and then cast it out to die in the desert.

It is Evil to seek to harm people of good will.

In my case I have helped over 5000 people, if I count only those I have audited. If I count those I have C/Sed, FES, debugged and given life-saving advice, I get another 5000. I have done a lot of voluntary © 2013 Pierre Ethier

work and helped thousands of others. After I left the Church, I have worked in coordination with Law Enforcement agencies to help bring criminals and abusers to Justice. I was personally praised by the authorities for my work. There is a continuous stream of people coming to see me for help, either in a professional capacity in my areas of expertise where I hold professional certifications and in my quality as a trained auditor and Case Supervisor. I have helped well over 15,000 people directly or indirectly.

The church of Scientology is well known to use Agents, Stooges and Dupes to promote its pernicious agenda. This sad group of Individual uniformly consist of slow or no case gains (based on actual changes in their life and behavior rather than their own assertions), and who are dramatizing a dark aspect of their case in the misguided and absurd hope that if they succeeded in destroying their target, their problem would suddenly disappear.

Because those individuals commit continuous Present Time overts, including constant manufacturing of lies, cherry picking a few facts while throwing away all others and spreading their vitriol as widely as their meager intellect allow them; their perceptions sink to a very low level. They misinterpret facts and invent absurdities causing them to continuously DEAD-AGENT themselves: their worse PR enemies are themselves. By actual analysis less than 2 1/2% of people reading their drivel view it as anything else than something belonging in the trash can.

This means that 97 -1/2% of people exposed to their drivel correctly recognize it as such.

For 10 years now, my unchanging experience with both the Church of Scientology and its offshoots, including the FreeZONE is that the more desperate their attacks against me, the more theta traffic comes on my lines, the more requests to audit or C/S I receive and the busier I get. I would have to spend thousands of dollars to get the amount of free publicity that those misguided souls give me for free.

A friend of mine, jokingly stated that if thing continue that way, that I ought to consider paying them FSM commissions!

Just like it says in the Anti-Social Personality bulletin says: these people try to burn the House, they end up flooding it instead. In my case: they try to destroy my repute. They mistakenly think they succeed in their eyes, but only their small group of fanatical followers (people that are criminals and a long track of lying, stealing and abusing others) agree. I would never consider auditing any of these individuals. All others either ignore or recognize obvious lies for what they are.

My final message to the misguided souls above is:

1- COMMUNICATION IS THE UNIVERSAL SOLVENT. If you have an issue with me, use private DIALOGUE to sort it out. Those who keep complaining about me, have never sent me an email, (except for one sending them to dozens of people and using it for 3P). Dialogue means: Two way communication of a private nature, not an endless stream of attacks and bait and switch or sending dozens of people

emails on a private matter or spreading 3P or hatred as widely as possible. Otherwise, all you do is demonstrate, out-TRs of your own.

2- Be compassionate: I am compassionate, even toward those who have spread the most horrific and heinous of lies toward me, recognizing they each were dramatizing an unhandled area of their case and were the product of reckless and incompetent auditing, and therefore in great need of help.

3- Realize that the more of what you view as harmful lies against me and my family you publicly state, the worse you end up looking in the eyes of over 97% of people. You actually end up damaging the repute of the Church (if you defend the Church) or the Freezone/Independents. You end up promoting me. I therefore thank you for increasing my popularity and my business, though, you may be unworthy of my gratitude.

4- Stop committing continuous PT Overts or you will end up worse than a pebble on a beach. Beware: this could start as early as next lifetime! You seem to have no idea whatsoever of what is addressed in OT X-XV and what you are making up your future to be. Are you truly certain of what to expect in the after- life? I know what to expect, I have been there after two near-death experiences at Flag.

Ignore my advice at your own peril If your intent is truly to harm me, then be prepared to eventually reach that unpleasant tone level called: TOTAL FAILURE.

ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE “BERLIN WALL”

What is the price of Freedom you are willing to pay if you end up on the wrong side of the Berlin wall? The condition of being free relates to the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints. So if we have to define free society is not as a society where people are free to do what they wish, but as one in which we freely choose to surrender certain behaviors in exchange for the benefits of living within that society. But spiritual freedom brings us in a whole new realm beyond

the existing physical limitations.

True spiritual freedom is realizing that one can have rewarding and fulfilling life existence without the boundaries and the repression of the group. An individual truly grows down the path of spiritual discovery in seeking the truth as he/she gets closer to the answers of true meaning of life and self existence.

True spiritual freedom is accompanied with release from the bonds of restrictive groups and gaining the ability to think for yourself without guilt. The power to move beyond the spiritual dogma enables you to pursue spiritual growth and knowledge in the absence of fear and unhealthy restraints, ties, and obligations. The true power is to exercise our personal liberty in our spiritual journey to find our purpose and fulfill our destiny in this lifetime.

To become truly free one has to be able to move beyond the obstacles of the brick walls without a remorse from the boundaries of a group that has regressed into opposing spiritual freedom and true human values like respect, kindness, understanding and honest and open communication.

If you truly want to be free It is time to climb over the “Berlin” wall!

Kindness is a universal language that blind men see and deaf men hear. If I have to talk about the amazing human abilities I would talk first about human kindness. It separates us from the rest of living things. It exposes our spirit and gives us the means to prevail. If people around us base every action on a conscious kindness our world will be beautiful and our lives will be fulfilled with meaning. If the mankind wasn’t so busy being greedy or power hungry or ego-driven, they would have more time to devote to being more kind. People without kindness are empty inside.

Kindness comes in many forms and sizes. Kindness can be something as small as a quick smile or an acknowledging nod. It can be something as large as adapting an unwanted child. Large or small kindness is kindness.

When you are the lucky one and on the receiving end of someone’s kindness never miss the chance to acknowledge them. Don’t ever take a single kindness for granted. Treat each one special like it’s the first one you have ever received. People have shown pretty consistent to claim that one is creating enemies. They never seem to find the key to live in harmony and without conflicts, war or struggle for power. If you are truly kind it is hard to hate. True kindness is the strength of finding peaceful co-existence.

In order to be more kind to others you must first be most kind to you. It is important to strike the right balance between them and you. Kindness makes you feel a certain way. That feeling is good. We are all connected and the kindness thread is an important link that holds us all together in compassionate and harmonious way.

May be you are reading this right now and realize that you have not been cognizant of the importance of being genuinely kind and what it means to your life and the life of others. It is worthed to be kind to yourself if you want to do better in life. Do simple acts of kindness and don’t look for reward or return. You will be pleasantly surprised how kindness feels.

Once, President Abraham Lincoln spoke to a young soldier who was near death. Lincoln went over to his hospital bedside and asked: “Is there anything I can do for you now?” The soldier didn’t recognize Lincoln, and with some effort whispered: “Would you please write a letter to my mother?” The president carefully began to write down what the young man was able to say: “My dearest mother, I was badly hurt while doing my duty. I’m afraid I’m not going to recover. Don’t grieve too much for me, please. Kiss Mary and John for me. May God bless you and father.” The soldier was too weak to continue, so Lincoln signed the letter for him and added, “Written for your son by Abraham Lincoln.” The young man asked to see the note and was astonished when he discovered who had written it.

He asked: “Are you really the president?” .Lincoln replied softly: “Yes, I am,” Then he asked if there was anything else he could do. “Would you please hold my hand?” the soldier asked. “It will help to see me through to the end.”

OVERCOMING LIFE`S UPS AND DOWNS

The true objective of life is to attain wisdom through experience. This cannot be accomplished by giving in to the difficulties of life, but only by overcoming them. There is no assurance that you shall have an easy time and be happy ever afterwards. Yet, the true rewards are not made to those who fail in life’s battle, but to those who overcome the obstacles of life .

It is common phenomena that the majority of people are after an easy life, a good time, freedom from responsibilities and care. But it seems that in spite of all their seeking of superficial things in life, they can never find what they desire. There is always a deep emptiness in their fundamental feelings of pleasure, something that robs them of true happiness; or, possibly, combinations of circumstances conspire to upset all their plans.

The paradox in life is that the true goal of life is not the attainment of happiness, yet if we attain the true goal of life we find happiness. Those who are ignorant of life’s true purpose and who seek happiness high and low, year after year, fail to find it. On the other hand, those who recognize the true goal of life, and follow it, attain happiness without seeking for it.

In times, people seek joy of achieving things with little effort, but the easy life they seek constantly eludes them, simply because there is no such thing. The only life that is easy is the life of the strong soul who has overcome the ups and downs in life. This life is not easy in reality, but appears relatively so because of the personal spiritual strength.

It is impossible to have an easy life, and, if it were possible, then life would be not worth living, for the sole goal of life is the building of character and the attainment of wisdom through experience. Life to all of us must always be full of brick walls, and by overcoming those brick walls we show our dedication and how badly we want to gain certain experiences. True happiness is achieved by those wise and awakened souls who are seeking for Truth and Spiritual Fulfillment and who desire to overcome life and its difficulties, instead of weakly giving in to them. © 2013 Pierre Ethier

We know that we have to meet trouble and overcome difficulty in order to attain wisdom and build up character. The question, then, is not whether we shall meet the trouble and adversity or not, but rather, how we shall meet them. Shall we be winning or shall we be overwhelmed? Shall we overcome life’s difficulties or shall we give in to them?

Some people have submerged as drifters on the sea of life. They are also carried by the current. It is only the few who realize that they have the Power within themselves to raise superior to all their difficulties, overcome their own weaknesses, and, through winning experience, attain wisdom. Success depends, more than anything, upon true faith in the good purpose of life: the faith in the Power within yourself and the ability to overcome every obstacle in your path.

The extent of the Power that you can bring into your life is the measure of your faith in your own abilities. If your faith is small, then your life will be lacking in achievements. If your faith is large and strong, then great things will happen in your life. All that is required is an unquenchable belief and trust in the Power within you. Even the weakest and most timid can make use of this Power. There is the same Power in the timid and weak as in the brave and strong. The weakness of the former is due to a lack of faith and belief in their own abilities.

People who realize their own real spiritual identity, know that their soul can never die, that they can never be defeated, that they can never really fail. They may lose the physical body through the change that is called death; but the true spiritual being, can never die. Neither can truly fail, though in our feelings we can perceive as defeated a thousand times we must realize our Power to rise again.

Only have faith in the Spiritual Power within you and you can know all the joys of overcoming and achievement.

Seeking and experiencing self as a spiritual being is a very serious endeavor. The daily experiences do not only occur as part of spiritual practice. Ordinary people have moments of experiencing the Spiritual energy and wins in their everyday life, only they do not recognize these for what they are. They may have a sudden instant of being profoundly moved and affected, but not know why, and will generally not pay any further attention to what happened to them. When spiritual experiences occur in this context, remaining generally unrecognized and not taking place within a supportive framework of conscious spiritual practice, much of their power to communicate, share and benefit a person’s life is lost. The spiritual framework leads us to fundamental freedom to express these unique experiences of deep inner awareness and mental clarity.

Bullying has become an increasing problem. Victims of bullying have suffered spiritual anguish, bodily injury and even death at the hands of their tormentors. Bullying can leave a harmful and long-lasting mark on its victims. It can leave painful emotional scarring and a lifelong struggle with self-esteem. Bullying can therefore impair the ability of a victim to contribute meaningfully to society and to function normally in the victim’s family environment.

Bullies suffer as well, since bullying may be indicative of deeper emotional problems. Individuals who bully more frequently experience psychological problems later on, such as aggressive tendencies. Bullies often display the same types of behavior in their work environment and are found to be more likely to harass co-workers or commit spousal, child or senior abuse. Studies have shown that bullies are far more likely to engage in delinquent behavior and are more likely than those who do not to commit offences as adults.

Bullying also creates a poisoned atmosphere among persons who observe the bullying of others. For example, the occurrence of bullying can intimidate observers, lead observers to excuse, accommodate or even encourage the bully or, worst of all, lead them to try bullying themselves. A safe, inclusive and neutering environment is critical to achieve success. Individuals must develop the proper techniques to be confident in knowing and become free from harassment, violence, intolerance and intimidation, all of which are forms of bullying. Bullying is particularly odious since its victims are often less able to defend themselves. The proper self confidence techniques, raising self awareness and self value, boosting rationalization and recovery from traumatic incidents can lead to a happier life.

Behaviors that were once thought unacceptable such as lying, cheating and covering up mistakes have become quite common in today’s corporate environment. Couple this with increased substance abuse problems, interpersonal conflicts, low morale and there is no doubt that this drives the need to rejuvenate the basic moral values necessary to create unsurpassed business integrity. Utilizing the principles of ethical choices, especially when faced with tough decisions helps the individual to achieve spiritually enhanced lifestyle. Changing attitudes, conduct and the ability to solve problems is the key to success to influence others on their path to honest and ethical choices and thereby increase the productivity and viability on a personal and enterprise level.

THE SPIRITUAL IN ART

Every work of art is the child of its age and, in many cases, the mother of our emotions. It follows that each period of culture produces an art of its own which can never be repeated. Efforts to revive the art- principles of the past will at best produce an art that is still- born. It is impossible for us to live and feel, as did the ancient Greeks but we can still recall our past lives and create in the new reality adding effects consistent with our spiritual growth. In some way those who strive to follow the Greek methods in sculpture achieve only a similarity of form, the work remaining soulless for all time. Such imitation is mere aping. Externally the monkey completely resembles a human being; he will sit holding a book in front of his nose, and turn over the pages with a thoughtful aspect, but his actions have for him no real meaning.

There is, however, in art another kind of external similarity which is founded on a fundamental truth. When there is a similarity of inner tendency in the whole moral and spiritual atmosphere, a similarity of © 2013 Pierre Ethier

ideals, at first closely pursued but later lost to sight, a similarity in the inner feeling of any one period to that of another, the logical result will be a revival of the external forms which served to express those inner feelings in an earlier age. An example of this today is our sympathy, our spiritual relationship, with the Primitives. Like ourselves, these artists sought to express in their work only internal truths, renouncing in consequence all consideration of external form.

This all-important spark of inner life today is at present only a spark. Our minds, which are even now only just awakening after years of materialism, are infected with the despair of unbelief, of lack of purpose and ideal. The nightmare of materialism, which has turned the life of the universe into an evil, useless game, is not yet past; it holds the awakening soul still in its grip. Only a feeble light glimmers like a tiny star in a vast gulf of darkness. This feeble light is but a presentiment, and the soul, when it sees it, trembles in doubt whether the light is not a dream, and the gulf of darkness reality. This doubt, and the still harsh tyranny of the materialistic thinking, divide our soul sharply from that of the Primitives. Our soul rings cracked when we seek to play upon it, as does a costly vase, long buried in the earth, which is found to have a flaw when it is dug up once more. For this reason, the Primitive phase with its temporary similarity of form, can only be of short duration.

There are two possible resemblances between the art forms of today and those of the past that will be at once recognized as diametrically opposed to one another. The first, being purely external. The second, being internal. After the period of materialist effort, which held the soul in check until it was shaken off as evil, the soul is emerging, purged by trials and sufferings. Shapeless emotions such as fear, joy, grief, etc., which belonged to this time of effort, will no longer greatly attract the artist. He will endeavour to awake subtler emotions, as yet unnamed. Living himself a complicated and comparatively subtle life, his work will give to those observers capable of feeling them lofty emotions beyond the reach of words.

The observer of today, however, is seldom capable of feeling such emotions. He seeks in a work of art a mere imitation of nature which can serve some definite purpose (for example a portrait in the ordinary sense) or a presentment of nature according to a certain convention , or some inner feeling expressed in terms of natural form. Kandinsky uses the words “essential spirit”. All those varieties of picture, when they are really art, fulfill their purpose and feed the spirit (the mind). Though this applies where the spectator does feel a corresponding thrill in himself. Such harmony or even contrast of emotion cannot be © 2013 Pierre Ethier

superficial or worthless; indeed the Stimming of a picture can deepen and purify that of the spectator. Such works of art at least preserve the soul from coarseness; they “key it up,” so to speak, to a certain height, as a tuning-key the strings of a musical instrument. But purification, and extension in duration and size of this sympathy of soul, remain one-sided, and the possibilities of the influence of art are not exerted to their utmost.

Imagine a building divided into many rooms. The building may be large or small. Every wall of every room is covered with pictures of various sizes; perhaps they number many thousands. They represent in colour bits of nature–animals in sunlight or shadow, drinking, standing in water, lying on the grass; near to, a Crucifixion by a painter who does not believe in Christ; flowers; human figures sitting, standing, walking; apples and silver dishes; portrait of Councilor So and So; sunset; lady in red; flying duck; portrait of Lady X; flying geese; lady in white; calves in shadow flecked with brilliant yellow sunlight; portrait of Prince Y; lady in green.

All this is carefully printed in a book–name of artist–name of picture. People with these books in their hands go from wall to wall, turning over pages, reading the names. Then they go away, neither richer nor poorer than when they came, and are absorbed at once in their business, which has nothing to do with art. Why did they come? In each picture is a whole lifetime imprisoned, a whole lifetime of fears, doubts, hopes, and joys.

Here and there are people with eyes which can see, minds which can correlate. They say to themselves: “If the science of the day before yesterday is rejected by the people of yesterday, and that of yesterday by us of today, is it not possible that what we call science now will be rejected by the men of tomorrow?” And the bravest of them answer, “It is possible.” Then people appear who can distinguish those problems that the science of today has not yet explained. And they ask themselves: “Will science, if it continues on the road it has followed for so long, ever attain to the solution of these problems? And if it does so attain, will men be able to rely on its solution?” In these segments are also professional men of learning who can remember the time when facts now recognized by the Academies as firmly established, were scorned by those same Academies. There are also philosophers of aesthetic who write profound books about an art which was yesterday condemned as nonsense. In writing these books they remove the barriers over which art has most recently stepped and set up new ones which are to remain forever in the places they have chosen. they do notice this, on the morrow they merely write fresh books and hastily set their barriers a little further on. This performance will go on unaltered until it is realized that the most extreme principle of aesthetic can never be of value to the future, but only to the past. No such theory of principle can be laid down for those things which lie beyond, in the realm of the immaterial. That which has no material existence cannot be subjected to a material classification. That which belongs to the spirit of the future can only be realized in feeling, and to this feeling the talent of the artist is the only road. Theory is the lamp which sheds light on the petrified ideas of yesterday and of the more distant past.

On the other hand, the number is increasing of those men who put no trust in the methods of materialistic science when it deals with those questions which have to do with “non-matter,” or matter which is not accessible to our minds. Just as art is looking for help from the primitives, so these men are turning to half-forgotten times in order to get help from their half- forgotten methods. However, these very methods are still alive and in use among nations whom we, from the height of our knowledge, have been accustomed to regard with pity and scorn.

When religion, science and morality are shaken, the two last by the strong hand of Nietzsche, and when the outer supports threaten to fall, man turns his gaze from externals in on to himself. Literature, music and art are the first and most sensitive spheres in which this spiritual revolution makes itself felt. They reflect the dark picture of the present time and show the importance of what at first was only a little point of light noticed by few and for the great majority non-existent. Perhaps they even grow dark in their turn, but on the other hand they turn away from the soulless life of the present towards those substances and ideas which give free scope to the non-material strivings of the soul.

Spiritual darkness, the insecurity of ignorance and fear pervade the world in which they move. The gloom of the spiritual atmosphere, the terrible, but all-guiding hand, the sense of utter fear, the feeling of having strayed from the path, the confusion among the guides, all these are clearly felt in art works.

Something similar may be noticed in the music of Wagner. His famous leitmotiv is an attempt to give personality to his characters by something beyond theatrical expedients and light effect. His method of using a definite motive is a purely musical method. It creates a spiritual atmosphere by means of a musical phrase which precedes the hero, which he seems to radiate forth from any distance. Musicians like Debussy create a spiritual impression, often taken from nature, but embodied in purely musical form. For this reason Debussy is often classed with the Impressionist painters on the ground that he resembles these painters in using natural phenomena for the purposes of his art. Whatever truth there may be in this comparison merely accentuates the fact that the various arts of today learn from each other and often resemble each other. But it would be rash to say that this definition is an exhaustive statement of Debussy’s significance. Despite his similarity with the Impressionists this musician is deeply concerned with spiritual harmony, for in his works one hears the suffering and tortured nerves of the present time. And further Debussy never uses the wholly material note so characteristic of programme music, but trusts

mainly in the creation of a more abstract impression. Debussy has been greatly influenced by Russian music, notably by Mussorgsky.

Picasso is trying to arrive at constructiveness by way of proportion. In his latest works (1911) he has achieved the logical destruction of matter, not, however, by dissolution but rather by a kind of a parceling out of its various divisions and a constructive scattering of these divisions about the canvas. But he seems in this most recent work distinctly desirous of keeping an appearance of matter. He shrinks from no innovation, and if color seems likely to balk him in his search for a pure artistic form, he throws it overboard and paints a picture in brown and white; and the problem of purely artistic form is the real problem of his life. In their pursuit of the same supreme end Matisse and Picasso stand side by side, Matisse representing color and Picasso form.

In each manifestation is the seed of a striving towards the abstract, the non-material. Consciously or unconsciously they are obeying Socrates’ command–Know thyself. Consciously or unconsciously artists are studying and proving their material, setting in the balance the spiritual value of those elements, with which it is their several privilege to work.

The achievement of the dance-art of the future will make possible the first ebullition of the art of spiritual harmony–the true stage-composition.

The composition for the new theatre will consist of these three elements:

(1) Musical movement (2) Pictorial movement (3) Physical movement and these three, properly combined, make up the spiritual movement, which is the working of the inner harmony. They will be interwoven in harmony and discord as are the two chief elements of painting, form and colour.

THE ARTIST MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, FOR MASTERY OVER FORM IS NOT HIS GOAL BUT RATHER THE ADAPTING OF FORM TO ITS INNER MEANING.

The artist is not born to a life of pleasure. He must not live idle; he has a hard work to perform, and one which often proves a cross to be borne. He must realize that his every deed, feeling, and thought are raw but sure material from which his work is to arise, that he is free in art but not in life.

The artist has a triple responsibility to the non-artists: (1) He must repay the talent which he has; (2) his deeds, feelings, and thoughts, as those of every man, create a spiritual atmosphere which is either pure or poisonous. (3) These deeds and thoughts are materials for his creations, which themselves exercise influence on the spiritual atmosphere. The artist is not only a king, because he has great power, but also because he has great duties.

If the artist be priest of beauty, nevertheless this beauty is to be sought only according to the principle of the inner need, and can be measured only according to the size and intensity of that need.

THAT IS BEAUTIFUL WHICH IS PRODUCED BY THE INNER NEED, WHICH SPRINGS FROM THE SOUL.

PRESENCE

The more present you are, the less stressful your day, the less you will see everything in your life as a problem. In fact you will start to see problems as opportunities. When you recognize that the invitation to presence is a necessity for betterment in your life, you will see everything in its physical form is inviting you into the present moment. Everything you can see, feel, taste and touch feels surrounding you as magic. Your thinking grows in enjoyable thoughts to reflect on happy and positive events. Being present can clear up your mind as an instrument of expression. What changes with presence is that you are no longer a victim of the unconscious never ending stream of destructive thoughts to self and others. Your mind is not longer imprisoned to see yourself as a victim and you become a part of a new winning reality of your life. Only by liberating yourself from being constantly held in the past we can awaken in present. Presence is the key. Why is presence not being thought at schools? Lets teach ourselves how to be present, how to be in right relationship with your environment, what to do with this little thing called an ego. Everyone on the planet has a choice and with every choice there are consequences to follow. You are within your power to choose to be present and live in present time. You are within your power to leave the past behind and move on to a better future. Free yourself from that habituated state of mind and the ego’s resistance.

Abuse, injustice, inequality, racism, prejudice, control and manipulation are caused by the human reactive mind. All those things get acted out and we need to remember where the true problem resides. It is within us to become truly present and awake. It is within us to recapture control of our lives and live in harmony.

CONFIDENCE

Success is a journey. When you dream, dream big. Don’t let your biggest obstacle be yourself and do not be afraid to laugh at yourself when learning from your mistakes. Don’t let fear stop you , challenge yourself to move forward and turn your guilt into gratitude, believe that you deserve your accomplishments.

Jump into every opportunity to discuss the real issues and real values in life, share your ideas in collaborative spiritual environment. Do not hesitate to openly talk about your spiritual needs, personal needs and relational needs.

Some socializations often breed lack of confidence and ambition. People tend to underestimate their own abilities and shy away from new challenges. It is important to picture yourself making a difference, that fits better with your personal values and that have an environment more accommodating of your life balance. We were thought that “ignoring the obvious” saves everyone the embarrassment. There is a need to step outside of your comfort zone as you start to see how you could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and step forward in a positive direction. As you bring diversity and positive change, you will gain confidence, contacts and invaluable knowledge. As you gather your confidence you will see the real barriers and take advantage of great new opportunities.

ADDRESSING AUTISM WITH SCIENTOLOGY

When my son was first diagnosed with Autism nearly 6 years ago, my wife and I, originally accepted it as a curse, until disregarding Official Scientific allegations about its incurability, we worked together in coming up with a Solution.

By the time my son was 3 years of age, it had become all too obvious that he was not normal. His complete absence of any perceivable social skills, his fixations on the same toys, his propensity at launching ferocious and unending tantrums for the slightest failure in complying with his desires, all pointed directly at an abnormal condition, especially when he was sharing the same room as other children.

The Movies “Mercury Rising:” and “The Rain Man” are two movies depicting Autistic behavior, the former in a child, the latter in a grown man.

The diagnosis and especially the prognosis did not sound at all promising. Second and Third Opinions, one of them from one of the leading Pediatricians in the country, only confirmed the original one. The prognosis was in all cases that my son would most certainly not be capable to attend a regular school and would never be able to lead a normal life.

My wife and I set to change all that.

BECOMING THETA SOLVER

Both Armed with an Intention without reservations or limitations, we set to use all the tools are disposal to prove “Science” wrong: my wife used her skills, knowledge and connections to enlist every scrap of support group, therapist and available programs. I endeavored to use the vast array of Knowledge and practical skills I had acquired in over two decades dealing with some of the most difficult cases known to Scientology and with the application of communication, and of the most advanced mental and Spiritual healing techniques ever developed on this planet.

Now, six years later my son appear to all but individuals specializing in dealing with “special Need children”, as “just another kid”. Even the Specialists tells us that our son is currently at least 80% as developed as his classmates in the “Normal school” he attends. By continuing on the same trend as he is currently, he should reach 100% and hopefully even go beyond it by the age he is ready for High School. All people who have been involved with his diagnosis, prognosis and his care now range from the utterly speechless to the greatly impressed, about the progress my son has made in the last 6 years.

Both my wife and I agree that the most significant advances and landmarks were achieved by our application of the communication formula, the entire array of TRs from TR0 to TR9, the ARC Triangle, Dianetics 55 and Grade I Technology.

For me, my 20 years of slave labor as a Scientology and Sea Org staff, with its countless 85 hour work weeks and 16 hours days, all done for little or no pay, except for Training, Processing and Knowledge and the tooth and nail struggle to overcome dozens of brutal Technical programs that seemed designed to make all but the toughest 1% fail, on that count alone, have paid off.

CORRECT APPROACH

My approach to addressing Autism has been based on the Technology developed by L.Ron Hubbard, the Axioms of Scientology and the experience acquired through 25 000 hours as a counselor (auditor).

At the bottom layer is the skill of mastering obnosis. This is harder than it sounds. It is SO EASY to make assumptions or to take something for granted. Even natural reflexes or even sometimes what is called “common sense” can be misleading or based on false Technologies, which abound on this planet.

After having spent a lot of time talking to parents of Autistic Children Parents, therapists, and other “Experts” it became quite evident that False Data Stripping on the therapist/parent should come next. False ideas to be gotten rid of are concepts that the unresponsive autistic child is “unaware” and that Enforced control (or any other form of Violence) is ever going to prove beneficial. Also false concepts

about communication, life and control may require addressing as well. In Scientology Organizations Autism is often erroneously confused with PTS Type III.

The next layer consists of having a complete ability and desire to communicate with the individual without any bias of any kind and without any evaluation (even those made privately in one’s own mind). This is a true test of pure “OT communication” without any vias..

The latter is almost completely absent, even from many parents.

Contrarily to what is widely assumed, the Autistic Child is generally more aware of people’s attitudes and feelings toward him than “normal children”. I have even found this to be true in the Psychotic, which is one of the reasons that make them particularly hard to audit. There is however no link that I can establish between Psychosis and Autism, a fact that flies in the tooth of many traditional theories concerning the cause of Autism.

Perhaps it is a telepathic skill, perhaps it is an uncanny ability at perceiving others, I haven’t clearly established it at this point, but the slightest impatient or angry thought from the “therapist or “Parent” , even when duly “suppressed” is prone to be perceived by the Autistic Child. This is true, even if there is not the any seemingly perceptible sign of an ARCX or impact of that thought, or even if the child “appear unaware”. The fact is that the child is aware.

The numerous Introspection Rundowns that I delivered, many on High Profile cases, have thought me the ability to grant complete Beingness even to a raving Lunatic and to the most ferocious and spiteful critic without forming even “inner criticism” or private dismay toward the other person. The presence of those thoughts is actually out OT-TR0 and out TR0 and will to a degree or another betray the therapist and reduce his effectiveness.

Further on, the therapist or parent dealing with the Autistic Child must achieve great skills at TR-2. This goes well beyond the routine acknowledgement.

The Hallmark of an auditor with truly great TRs is to acknowledge the pc at the exact right time: not a moment too soon, not a moment too late.

In the case of the Autistic child, this is a particularly difficult challenge, because it is extremely difficult to establish the correct time. The tendency of over 90% of parents and many therapists is to acknowledge too soon or to do TR-4 prematurely. In many cases the response of the Autistic is non-verbal. It can be, at times, almost as hard to perceive an answer as it is while doing a “Comatose person assist”. It requires the patience

BASIC MISCONCEPTION ABOUT AUTISM

Show the List of the Lower 5 grades to someone and ask him which one would parallel Autism the best.

You are likely to get a consensus about Grade Zero.

While it is true enough that Autism can be defined as an inability of the person to communicate with his environment, the truth of the matter is that it in the case of Autism it is not the Thetan (or Being) who has trouble communicating, it is the Thetan + Body that has trouble. This difficulty is perceived soon enough by the Being and THAT becomes a PROBLEM. Beings (thetans) are not natively Autistic, but some children are definitely born that way.

This is a common problem with most therapies on this planet. They seek to address what the practitioner think is wrong with the person, not what the person truly sees as wrong with himself.

Out of communication-ness is what bothers parents and therapists about Autistic children.

To the child, he knows damn well he has a problem with communication. Only a complete boob would be unaware of that fact. He wants to communicate using the “via” of his body and he cant. That becomes a PROBLEM.

The expert application of CCHs (Which stands for COMMUNICATION, CONTROL and HAVINGNESS processes) and similar processes based on positive control will also go a long way toward helping the child.

In the case of the Autistic Child there will be a definite tendency to do things on automatic. As long as the child is doing the process on Automatic, no benefit is to be expected. The ideal auditor will have the ability to project intention (the Original OT VII dealt with that), be a master at TR-8 and be able to get the child to execute each command in a new unit of time.

KEY TO SUCCESS

To succeed, in addition to applying the rules set above, the following must be done:

1- Work Intensively with the child. Except for the every beginning, anything under two hours a day will produce negligible results. The most lasting results are accomplished when a minimum of 15 hours a week are spent personally with the child. Weeks of 25-35 hours produced the improvements. As the child reaches a new plateau, he may stall, or even begin to regress. When this occurs, it is best to take a break

for several weeks and let the child adjust to his new level of awareness until he is comfortable. After several years, as the child improves and matures, the amount of work done can gradually drop, as long as the child is continuing to make good progress.

2- Alternate objective type auditing with learning and duplication drills. For each hour of objectives type auditing, dedicate at least two to learning, duplication drills and therapies. Depending on the child condition, it may prove difficult to run more than 15-20 minutes of objective processing in one stretch. In the case of my child, in 6 years he has received over 200 hours of Objectives and probably four times as much of therapy and learning and duplication drills.

3- While it is best to limit the number of therapists as much as possible, a certain degree of change is inevitable, due to therapists and programs change and uncontrollable factors. In my case, I was able to limit the number of therapists (including myself and my wife) to less than 5 per year.

THE PROGRAM

There are literally hundreds of Objective type processes. They are described in the “CCHs” issues, the ones on Havingness and those on ‘Assists”.

Some simple processes (Havingness, Locationals, Orientation processes) can be run hundreds of times.

After the child has completed the standard battery of objectives, light straight-wire (Recall) can be attempted and will produce good results.

INTERIM SUMMARY

My son is now 8 years old. He can recall incidents up to the time he was three years old.

As far as the cause of Autism, I can’t say at this point. What little I did of research I did has established firmly that my son was never exposed to any of the substances or physical factors that have been associated with Autism from Mercury to Vaccines.

AUTISM: WELCOME TO A NEW BEGINNING

When John Travolta’s son Jett died in 2009 at the age of 16 after experiencing a seizure there were a lot of speculations in regard to my family that appeared in the main stream anti-scientology internet sites in regard to an article published on Upperbridge.org about addressing Autism with Scientology. not revealing a document which stated Travolta did not wish for his son to be taken to a hospital. Travolta’s son was transported to Rand Memorial hospital. During the trial John Travolta admitted that his son was autistic:”My son was autistic and suffered from seizure disorder. Every five to ten days he suffered seizures which lasted 45 seconds to a minute,” said Travolta in his court testimony. He said that after experiencing a seizure, his son would typically sleep for a period of 12 hours.

The autism spectrum tends to vary in a very wide range. There are different shades of autism but unfortunately the common perception of the ignorant and/or uneducated people is that one size fits all. It makes common sense that the diagnosis of autism should be addressed individually. Unfortunately often the perception about autism is based on stigma and stereotypes. The truth is that the rule”one size fits all” does not apply when it comes to autism.

When my son was diagnosed with autism at age 2, we spoke to an Autism Consultant from Geneva Center for Autism in Canada, who admitted to us that the early diagnostic of autism has resulted in positive progress through variety of early intervention options. The consultant admitted that he has worked with parents who later on have called to cancel further treatment options because their children do no longer fit the label of autism spectrum. Most of them wished to remain private due to the stigma related to this disability that somewhat has caused social rejections and negative perceptions. Our society has evolved to the point to outlaw discrimination based on disability, however it seems that unkind people would never miss an opportunity to express their own aberated thoughts and denigrate children while unfairly labeling them with the typical characteristics of the disability, even when at times those disabled children have achieved often better results than peers and they work harder than others to compensate certain areas of gaps. This type of ruthless individuals who covertly denigrate children with disabilities based on stereotypes exhibit behavior that is in not only ugly but as well very unethical and immoral.

The consequences of having the label of autism are often devastating to the children who were once diagnosed with autism. Based on the social perception predefined by the label, those children are perceived to exhibit the typical characteristics of the disability as a rule. Sadly the compassion and understanding in our society is so seriously lacking as it comes to Autism. Today, Early Interventionists are actually uncertain if parents should keep the initial diagnosis of autism private or not. Therefore I am not surprised why the Travolta’s have kept private his son’s diagnosis of Autism Spectrum.

It came to our advantage our extensive knowledge and understanding of communication and cognitive techniques coupled with the facts of practicing applied Scientology not associated with the Corporate Church of Scientology and therefore being freed of the prejudice and from the basic agenda propagated by juvenile immature mentality at the Church. Therefore we were able to apply the right techniques in the right way to achieve extraordinary positive results.

elements has a tremendous impact on their ability to journey towards productive, independent lifestyle. Autism is extremely complex but there are four fundamental areas that need special attention: sensory processing challenges, speech/language communication, social interaction skills and whole child/self- esteem issues. Keep in mind the fact that autism is a spectrum: no two children with autism will be completely alike. Every child will be at a different point on the spectrum and each child will have a unique set of needs.

The child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum is not primarily “autistic.” The autism is only one aspect of his/hers complex character and does not define him/her as a person with thoughts, feelings and many talents. As every child is developing we don’t yet know what he/she may be capable of. Constant support in the four special areas is a key to success in many cases.

The sensory integration and communication between body and mind may be the most difficult aspect of autism to understand, but it is arguably the most critical. Ordinary sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touches of everyday that you may not even notice can be downright painful to an individual with autism. The very environment may be perceived hostile and this leads to withdrawn or belligerent behaviors but in actual fact the autistic is just trying to reactively defend himself from certain environmental inputs due to hypersensitivity.

Receptive and expressive language and vocabulary can be major challenges. It isn’t that the autistics don’t listen to instructions. It’s that they can’t understand due to deficiencies in perceptive communication between body and mind. They are very direct and interpret language very literally. Idioms, puns, nuances, double entendres, inference, metaphors, allusions and sarcasm may confuse them easily. Work on developing the expressive language through visual cues and drills while simplifying the wording and breaking down variety of expressive concepts using reach and withdraw methodology.

Autistics are very visually oriented. It is important to do visual models, demos and examples. Be prepared to show and model many times to re-enforce the understanding of certain concepts. Lots of consistent repetition and drills help learning. A visual schedule is very helpful for daily routines and transitions from one activity to another.

Focus and build on strengths, avoid criticism and negative evaluations. Remember, there is more than one “right” way to do most things. Help with social interactions and ongoing coaching in proper social responses. Try to remember that all behavior is a form of communication. It tells you how the autistic perceives something that is happening in his/hers environment. Parents, keep in mind as well: persistent behavior may have an underlying medical cause and it is wise to consult a medical doctor.

Love them unconditionally. Banish any thoughts of frustration. Be certain that that they have not chosen to have autism and remember that with the support of their parents and the community the chances of becoming successful and self-reliant increase. With proper support and guidance, the possibilities are broader than you might think. They are worth it all the way because those kids work harder than others to © 2013 Pierre Ethier

compare and even often to exceed peer expectations. Work to view autism as a different ability. Look past what you may see as limitations and see the gifts of the variety of strengths like attention to fine detail and capacity for extraordinary focus just like Einstein, Mozart or Van Gogh. They had autism too.

The successful overcoming yet another challenge of such a vast magnitude has been an entirely rewarding experience. Children have always been a blessing and I am happy about where we are today and looking forward to new positive experiences to grow exponentially. We have been presented by such an unique opportunity and have to come to realize how amazing these special children are.
