Report of Activities March 2020- February 2021 (Last One Year)

1. Educational Tour: Gandhi Study Circle organized an Educational Tour to Gujarat Vidyapith and Sabarmati Ashram from March 12, 2020 to March 17, 2020 in which 7 faculty members and 17 students visited Kochrab Ashram, Sabarmati Ashram, Gujarat Vidyapith and also Statue of Unity. They stayed at Guest house of Gujarat Vidyapith in these days.

2. Inter-College Essay Writing Competition: GSC conducted An online Essay Writing Competition on “ Relevance of Gandhian Cleanliness in Present World Scenario” on 7th April, 2020. Cash Prize and Merit Certificates were given to those students who secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd positions. More than 50 students participated in this competition through online mode. Circle provided E-certificates to all participants.

3. Five Day Lecture Series Webinar: Gandhi Study Circle organized A Five Day Lecture Series Webinar from 19th May to 23rd May 2020 through Google Meet platform. v Prof. Anamikshah, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad delivered his lecture on “आज क िथत म गाँधी th शा और समाज का अनबु ंध ” on 19 May 2020. v Dr Vedabhyas Kundu, program officer GSDS on “अहंसामक संवाद ” on 20th May 2020 v Dr. Rajender Khimani, Director, Gujarat Vidyapith on “महामार म गाँधी ” on 21st May. v Prof. Ramesh Bhardwaj, Director, Gandhi Bhawan, DU on “कोरोना के उरकाल म गांधी िट: एक समाधान ” on 22nd May. v Dr. Anula Maurya, Vice Chancellor, JRRSU, Jaipur on “महामा गाँधी क िट म-संयम” on 23rd May.

4. National Conference: GSC organized a National Conference in collaboration with Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad on “ Self Reliant India: A Gandhian Perspective () on 28th and 29th September 2020 on Google meet platform in 4 sessions in which more than 250 participants participated in each session. Research papers were also read by several scholars in each session except inaugural. It is a matter of pride that GSC of the college have also prepared a proceedings of the papers.

5. GSC of RLA College secured 1st position in the field of Gandhian values in the entire Delhi University on the basis of the events and activities of 2019-20 session. College, GSC and Student President were awarded by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. P. C. Joshi on 2nd Oct 2020 at Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi.

6. Inter- College Essay Writing Competition: GSC conducted an Essay Writing Competition on “ Gandhian Values and Nation Building” on 21st Jan. 2021. Merit certificates were given to those students who secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. More than 60 students participated in this competition from various colleges of D.U. through online mode. Circle also provided E-certificates to all participants .

Future Programs Planned by Gandhi Study Circle of RLA College in the coming Months

1. Quiz competition will be conducted in March 2021. 2. Circle is planning to organize a national conference in April 2021. 3. GSC of the college is also planning to organize a one week workshop in first or in second week of May 2021.
