Celtic Woman Extends 10Th Anniversary World Tour; Returns to North America This Fall For Immediate Release Celtic Woman Extends 10th Anniversary World Tour; Returns to North America This Fall TICKETS ON SALE BEGINNING MONDAY, JUNE 8! View 10th Anniversary Tour Video from Dublin New York, NY June 2, 2015 – Due to incredible popular demand, Billboard’s No.1 World Music Artist, Celtic Woman, returns to North America this fall with its 10th Anniversary Tour. The newly added dates begin October 1 in Evansville, IN, and continue in 25 cities over a whirlwind four weeks, wrapping November 1 in Savannah, GA. The return to America follows a September run through Australia just prior to performing across the U.K. in November. The Irish music sensation’s current 85-city North American tour, which has garnered such critical raves as “showstopping!,” “captivating!” and “spectacular!,” continues through June 28 in Lynn, MA. Tickets for the majority of the October 1 - November 1 dates go on sale to the public Monday, June 8. Visit Celticwoman.com for the latest ticket information. “We’re thrilled to be able to visit more cities in America this year,” says violinist Mairead Nesbitt. “The show is more interactive then ever, and audiences have been overwhelmingly thrilled. We hope to see all of you dancing in your seats soon.” The 10th Anniversary World Tour celebrates a decade of timeless music and dance from the Emerald Isles that has already captivated millions. Showcasing three world-class vocalists and a dazzling Celtic violinist, the multi-platinum all-female group performs such traditional Irish classics as “Danny Boy,” and “Mo Ghile Mhear,” alongside contemporary favorites like “You Raise Me Up” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in its distinctive signature style. The international touring powerhouse is accompanied by a 15-member ensemble that includes Irish dancers, bagpipers and a full band playing an array of traditional Celtic instruments, including bodhran, hand-crafted tin whistle, bouzouki and Uilleann pipes. Honoring 10 years together, Celtic Woman invited previous members to return for limited appearances in 2015 to join the celebration and share its passion for music and dancing. The three vocalists have alternated throughout the year, with original member Mairead Nesbitt at the helm. Audiences already have welcomed the return of Lynn Hilary, Alex Sharpe and Meav to sing alongside more recent members Susan McFadden and Maired Carlin. “We couldn’t think of a better way to share our appreciation and love for our fans,” said Nesbitt. Celtic Woman made its television debut in 2005 with a sold-out concert in Dublin, which was filmed and broadcast in the United States on PBS. Although initially intended as a one-time-only event, the uplifting performance was so warmly received by the public that the group immediately followed with a debut concert tour across the United States. Since then, Celtic Woman has performed to over three million fans, and has continued to sell out prestigious venues around the world., covering 48 U.S. states, while expanding its reach to six continents and 23 countries. Celtic Woman’s massive success encompasses albums, live concerts and television. Since 2005, the group has sold more than eight million copies of its nine CDs and eight DVDs, while its eight public television specials have ranked among PBS’ most-watched music programs. Each of Celtic Woman’s nine CDs - the most recent being 2013’s Emerald Musical Gems - has debuted at #1 on Billboard's World Album chart, where the group has occupied the top slot for a record-breaking 112 consecutive weeks. Having been named Billboard magazine's World Albums Artist of the Year six times, Celtic Woman also has scored two Top 10 debuts on Billboard's main album chart and five Top Five DVDs on Billboard's Top Video chart, as well as achieving platinum-level sales in nine different countries. The group also has performed for three U.S. presidents and has made high- profile appearances on the daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful and the prime-time smash Dancing with the Stars. MISSING PIECES The Perth Cable Car APRIL 2016 Perth Cable Car Artist Impression – Commissioned by Tourism Council WA DESTINATION PERTH Developing Perth’s Visitor Economy DESTINATION PERTH Perth is in the midst of a once in a generation investment in public and private tourism assets. This investment will transform the city into a global destination and gateway to Western Australia. Piece by piece this investment boom is removing the constraints on tourism growth. From hotel rooms to stadium seats, Perth is undergoing a major upgrade in capacity and building world-class venues, precincts and facilities. KEY PIECES The key new pieces of Destination Perth are: • Perth Arena • New Museum WA • Elizabeth Quay & Major Precincts • Perth Stadium • Crown Perth • Bars & Restaurants • New Hotels • Perth Airport • Natural Assets While each tourism asset brings new capacity to Perth, it is the combined synergy of these assets that will make Perth a global tourism destination. As these new pieces fall into place, Perth’s transformation into a global destination accelerates. MISSING PIECES The multi-billion dollar investment underway in tourism infrastructure is building capacity for increased tourism. However, to realise this tourism growth, Perth must also invest in the smaller projects that will attract visitors and drive demand for the new restaurants, hotels, venues and precincts. New demand drivers are the missing pieces needed to complete Destination Perth. The three missing pieces are: • The Perth Cable Car – to create a signature experience; • Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre Expansion – to increase business events and delegates; • Branding, Marketing and Events – to fill the restaurants, hotels, venues and precincts.

MOHAWK VALLEY IRISH CULTURAL Volume 14, Issue 6 EVENTS NEWSLETTER June 2017 Celebrate Joyce’s Legacy on Varick Street on “Bloomsday” The city of Utica will be transformed into Dublin for one day on Saturday, June 17, as the Utica NY Area Irish Coalition will present its first “Bloomsday” Celebration with a pub crawl visiting seven stops along Varick Street in the city’s brewery district. In James Joyce’s monumental classic “Ulysses,” (often cited as the greatest English-language novel of all time) June 16 is the date that the book’s protagonist, Leopold Bloom, undertakes his one day sojourn through the streets of Dublin. Since the first two-man Bloomsday celebration in 1954, that date (or as near as practicable) continues to be celebrated in countries as far-ranging as Hungary, Italy, Australia and the Czech Republic, with a range of cultural activities including readings and dramatizations of scenes from the novel (as well as the responsible partaking of adult beverages). The UNYAIC event will start at noon with a brief gathering at Utica Brews, located at 809 Court St., Utica, and will proceed, in order, to the Saranac Brewery, Nail Creek Pub, the new Irish Cultural Building site, O’Donnell’s, The Sanctuary, and will finish at 5 PM at the Celtic Harp. Each stop will feature short readings from the book and live Irish music, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Participants will receive a special commemorative T-shirt and will also get a passport stamped at each stop to be eligible for prize drawings at the end of the crawl.
