Cheshire police are committed to working in partnership with your community to keep our roads safer. If you capture footage of poor or dangerous driving you can upload it on to our website: www.cheshire.police.uk/dashcam The footage will be assessed by our Roads and Crime Unit who will then progress the matter, keeping you regularly updated. We have seen some really positive results from this service and look forward to working you all in the future to help reduce accidents and improve road safety. Local Initiatives Rural Night of Action – On 10th and 11th April Chester Local Policing Unit carried out a Rural Nights of Action being proactive in combating various potential rural crime activities and providing visibility to the local community of Police involvement at all times of the day. Operation Shield – Last month over 500 properties in Tattenhall Parish received Selecta DNA marking kits and it is hoped that ever property will have received a kit by mid-June. Bike Security Marking – 2 successful bike marking sessions were held last month in Tattenhall and Malpas, over 75 bikes were security marked. Speeding - On-going attention has been given to speeding on the A49 at Beeston and Tiverton and on the B5069 Wrexham Road between Malpas and Threapwood. PCSO Surgeries – The majority have been well attended and PCSO Jon Hurst was joined by Chester LPU Communities Inspector, Inspector Emma Parry at Malpas Old Fire Station on 8th April.
