Breed Categories Law Imposes Restrictions on the Importation and Breeding of the Following Breeds GOVERNMENT OF BERMUDA Ministry of Home Affairs Department of Environment and Natural Resources October 1, 2018 Breed Categories Law imposes restrictions on the importation and breeding of the following breeds: Prohibited Breeds Restricted Breeds Argentine mastiff (Dogo Argentino) Akita Boerboel (South African Mastiff) Australian Cattle Dog Brazilian Mastiff (Fila) American Bulldog Cane Corso American Pit Bull Terrier Neapolitan Mastiff American Staffordshire Terrier Presa Canario Belgian Malinois Tosa Inu Bouvier des Flandres Wolf Bull Terrier Wolf Hybrid Bullmastiff Any Cross of the above Cão de Fila de São Miguel (Azorean Cattle Dog) Chow Chow Doberman Pinscher Dogue de Bordeaux Shepherd (all breeds thereof) Mastiff – English Rhodesian Ridgeback Rottweiler Olde English Bulldogge (Old English Bulldog) Staffordshire Bull Terrier Any Cross of the above Any rare, exotic or uncommon breed may also be refused entry or permission to breed despite its absence from the above lists. You may contact us if you have a dog of a breed that may be perceived as dangerous. Prohibited Breeds Dogs of these breeds may not be imported, bred or used for breeding. New acquisitions of these dogs require pre-approval. Restricted Breeds Dogs of these breeds may be imported under permit once the conditions for importation and keeping have been fulfilled by the importer. New acquisitions of these dogs require pre-approval. Dogs of these breeds may be bred only following receipt of, or inclusion on, a Breeder’s permit.     ANIMALS Restricted breeds Legislation introduced by the Western Australian Government means that special requirements apply when owning a dog that is considered a dangerous dog (restricted breed).     Bully Pedex Kennel Club Breed Standards FRENCH BULLDOG GENERAL APPEARANCE The French Bulldog has the appearance of an active, intelligent, muscular dog of heavy bone, smooth coat, compactly built, and of medium or small structure. Expression alert, curious, and interested. Head Large and square. Flews thick and broad, hanging over the lower jaw at the sides, meeting the underlip in front and covering the teeth, which are not seen when the mouth is closed. The underjaw is deep, square, broad, undershot and well turned up. Eyes All colors accepted, wide apart, set low down in the skull, as far from the ears as possible, round in form, of moderate size, neither sunken nor bulging. No haw and no white of the eye showing when looking forward. Ears Known as the bat ear, broad at the base, elongated, with round top, set high on the head but not too close together, and carried erect with the orifice to the front. The leather of the ear fine and soft. Not having bat ears is a disqualification. The top of the skull flat between the ears; the forehead is not flat but slightly rounded. Muzzle Broad, deep and well laid back; the muscles of the cheeks well developed. The stop well defined, causing a hollow groove between the eyes with heavy wrinkles forming a soft roll over the extremely short nose; nostrils broad with a well-defined line between them.
