Easter 3 Sunday
April 26, 2020 EASTER 3 SUNDAY Prelude: Fare Thee Well Love, by The Rankin Family Arranged and Performed by Bruce Nasmith & Mark Athanasiadis Worship Theme & Welcome Call to worship: “Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?” Jesus tells the disciples. Like the disciples, we, too, can feel devastated at the suffering all around us and the fear, stress and uncertainty it can engender. One: We, too, can find it hard to understand how the crucifixion is not the end of our faith and hope in the possibility of love winning in a world of violence, hate, illness and death. We, too, are looking for some glory, some new life, some resurrection. One: We, too, like those first disciples, need to understand how God saves not by waving some magic wand from above, but by entering into the darkness, our darkness… awakening us and engaging us as participants on a healing, saving, learning and transforming journey from within… Meet us, each and every one, wherever we are, in this time of worship, O God. Let us worship God together!
