Summer Reading Club 2020

Community Activities The library has partnered with local organizations to enhance the summer reading experience. When you visit the designated locations and complete the activity, you will receive a secret code to record on your log sheet or enter in your online account. Please check with the organization ​ to be sure they are open, and the activity can be accessed. Some organizations have provided ​ a virtual activity. Each Community Activity is worth 20 points.

Animal Protective Association: Tuesday Tails Attend story time and tour our adoption center, Tuesday mornings, 10:30-11:00 a.m. Ages 2-5. For more information, visit www.apamo.org. ​ ​

Butterfly House Check out an Exploration Backpack and explore the world of insects on display at the Butterfly House. Each backpack will have fun materials to let you take a closer look. EarthDance Explore the Ferguson Farmers Market on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to find the EarthDance table for the secret code. Ferguson Farmers Market is located at 501 S. Florissant Road.

Saint Louis Art Museum: Virtual Wee Wednesdays Listen to a story, look at art from the Museum’s collection, and create an art activity with materials found in your home. Then, ​ ​ invite your family to assume the role of NASA engineers and design the next great rocket (without the fire)! Draw a rocket or challenge yourself to build a rocket model big enough to take you to the moon!

Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries Explore the Sheldon Art Galleries “Golf the Galleries” exhibit with a scavenger hunt through the artist-designed, indoor mini-golf holes.
