The Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park (Kraus House) is a unique and significant residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, widely considered the greatest American architect. Wright designed the house for Russell and Ruth Kraus in 1951, the first of only five Wright-designed properties in Missouri. The Kraus House is an excellent example of Wright’s democratic vision, intended to provide middle-class Americans with beautiful architecture at an affordable cost. The home is notable for its architectural integrity and original Wright-designed furnishings and fabrics. With a floor plan composed of two intersecting parallelograms, it is considered one of Wright’s most geometrically complex homes. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In addition to docent-led public tours, the FLWHEP offers a variety of educational programming on architecture and design including exhibits, lectures, and special events.
