In Kodimudi Block Uzhavar Peruvizha Was Organized at Thalavumpalayam Village Function Was Inaugurated by Mrs UZHAVAR PERUVIZHA-2013 MYRADA KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA, ERODE DISTRICT 15.04.2013: In Kodimudi block Uzhavar peruvizha was organized at Thalavumpalayam village function was inaugurated by Mrs. Savithiri, ADA Kodimudi and village Panchayat President. Mr. R. D. Srinivasan, SMS (Plant Protection) attended the function and explained the various activities of KVK, Erode and explained the procedure of collection of soil and water samples and problem soil management, bio control methods of pest and diseases and also the inputs produced and available at Krishi Vigyan Kendra premises. Mr. R.D. Srinivasan, SMS (Plant Protection) explaining the activities of the kendra and delivering the lecture on integrated pest and disease management and usage of bio inoculants in crop management 15.04.2013: In Gobichettipalayam Block, Uzhavar peruvizha, function was organized by the Department of Agriculture at Kalingiyam village and MYRADA Krishi Vigyan Kendra also participated in the function to disseminate the technologies promoted by the kendra. Mr. D. John Prabhakaran, SMS (Agrl. Engg.) and Dr. K. Mayakrishanan SMS (Animal Science) attended function and explained the procedure of collection of soil and water samples and problem soil management and integrated pest and diseases management, farm mechanization and the usage of implements, fodder and feed management. Explaining the activities of the kendra and delivering the lecture on usage of farm implements 20.04.2013: In Nambiyur Block, Uzhavar peruvizha, function was organized by the Department of Agriculture and MYRADA Krishi Vigyan Kendra also participated in the function to disseminate the technologies promoted by the kendra. Programme was inaugurated by Mr. K. A. Sengottiyan, MLA Gobichettipalayam, Dr. P. Alagesan, Programme Coordinator of Kendra, Mr. S. Saravanakumar, SMS (Agronomy), Mr. J. Sekar, SMS (Soil Science), Mr. D. John Prabhakaran, SMS (Agrl. Engg.) and Dr. K. Mayakrishanan SMS (Animal Science) attended function and explained the procedure of collection of soil and water samples and problem soil management and integrated pest and diseases management, farm mechanization and the usage of implements, fodder and feed management. Kendra technologies were also exhibited in the stall and explained to the farmers participating in the programme. On behalf of our Programme Coordinator, Mr. R. D. Srinivasan, SMS (Plant Protection), Mr. S. Saravanakumar SMS (Agronomy), Mr. D. John Prabhakaran, SMS (Agrl. Engg.) and Dr. Mayakrishnan SMS (Animal Science) were exhibited the stall and explained various kind of technologies which were displayed for improve the livelihood of the farming community. The above mentioned staffs explained technologies such as Integrated farm development, Integrated pest and disease management and collection and methods soil and water sample, cotton management, Azolla, Banana booster, mixed fodders, leaflets on organic banana cultivation and organic farming practices, Banana pseudo stem weevil management and Castor fermentor technique, Value addition in Rosemary, Banana, Honey and Honey based products. Siva SMS (Home Science) attended the function and explained the various activities of KVK, Erode and explained the procedure of collection of soil and water samples and problem soil management, bio control methods of pest and diseases, traditional seeds, farm mechanization and the usage of implements, fodder and feed management and also the inputs produced and available at Krishi Vigyan Kendra premises. 11.05.2013: In Nambiyur block as a part of Uzhavar peruvizha a rally was organized at Nambiyur to create awareness on traditional agricultural produces like tender coconut, cotton and sihaikai among the communities, after that seminar was organized on the same topics at Kongu Thirumana Mandapam, Nambiyur Mr. P. Pachiappan, SMS (Horticulture) and Mrs. M. Siva SMS (Home Science) attended the seminar and explained the various activities of KVK, Erode and explained the procedure of collection of soil and water samples and problem soil management, bio control methods of pest and diseases, traditional agricultural produces – value addition and marketing and market outlet for farmers produces and entrepreneurs products.
