PRADEEP KUMAR BALMUCHU: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) launched on the 11th October, 2014 by the Prime Minister has got it's desired momentum; (b) if so, the details of adopted villages by the Members of Parliament (MPs), so far, and their status; and (c) the steps taken by Government to presuade the remaining MPs to actively take part in SAGY? THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI RAM KRIPAL YADAV): (a) The Village Development Plan(VDP) for every identified GP/village is prepared locally based on the local context, potential and needs and with special focus on enabling every poor household to come out of poverty. The activities for development of the first set of Adarsh Grams are going on as per the VDPs. (b) The details of adopted villages by the Members of Parliament (MPs) till 25.07.2016 under SAGY, are given in Statement-I (See below). While the activities for development of the first set of Adarsh Grams are going on, the Ministry of Rural Development have documented one hundred and one good initiatives in the Adarsh Grams on the initiatives taken up by Hon'ble Members of Parliament(MPs) and brought out in the form of "SANKALAN". The purpose is to share the best practices in the SAGY gram panchayats and widely disseminate the stories that will inspire other MPs and Adarsh Grams to initiate similar activities. -
