Whose love is mighty, and so much stronger? The King of Glory, the King above all kings! Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder? Who leaves us breathless, in awe and wonder? The King of Glory, the King above all kings! CHORUS: This is amazing grace, this is unfailing love, that you would take my place, that you would bear my cross, you would lay down your life, that I would be set free! Jesus, I sing of all that you've done for me! Who brings our chaos back into order? Who makes the orphan a son and daughter? The King of Glory, the King above all kings! Who rules the nations with truth and justice? Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance? The King of Glory, the King above all kings! Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, may your glory shine over all the earth. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. You forgive all our sins and redeem us from death. You heal our diseases and restore our souls. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. Though our eyes may not see, and our ears may not hear, we know you are working for our good. You are the lifter of our heads, your strong right hand holds us steady. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. When we are hungry and thirsty, you satisfy us with the richest of feasts. When we lay down and sleep, you awaken us in safety. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. Because you are our helper, we will sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. When we search for you, we find you. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. Ritual sacrifice and offerings you do not desire. But we bring a sacrifice of praise. All that we have and all that we are, we gratefully offer to you. O Lord, we honor you with thanksgiving. Amen. SCRIPTURE READING Led by Tammy Lund Matthew 21:1-17 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them at once.” This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying, “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’” The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?” And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.” And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.” And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant, and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, “‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?” And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there. SONG 3 | Show Us Christ Prepare our hearts O God, help us to receive Break the hard and stony ground Help our unbelief Plant your word down deep in us, cause it to bear fruit Open up our ears to hear Lead us in your truth. CHORUS: Show us Christ, show us Christ O God reveal your glory through the preaching of your word Until every heart confesses "Christ is Lord". Your word is living light upon our darkened eyes Guards us through temptations, Makes the simple wise. Your Word is food for famished ones, freedom for the slave, Riches for the needy soul, Come speak to us today. CHORUS BRIDGE: Where else can we go Lord, Where else can we go? You have the words of eternal life! If you usually give in the offering basket on a Sunday morning, please consider switching to online giving at least for this season. https://www.gracelb.org/give Leader ALL (LEADER) Lord, you give us everything that is good— our homes, our food, our families, and even our lives. (ALL) All that we own and all that we are belong to you. (LEADER) Since you have been so generous with us, we thank you by being open handed with our time, our skills, and right now our money with others in need. (ALL) Use these gifts to further your kingdom throughout our world in Jesus’ name. Amen. Song 4 | Living Hope How great the chasm that lay between us How high the mountain I could not climb In desperation, I turned to heaven And spoke Your name into the night. Then through the darkness, Your loving kindness Tore through the shadows of my soul. The work is nished, the end is written Jesus Christ, my living hope. Who could imagine so great a mercy? What heart could fathom such boundless grace? The God of ages stepped down from glo ry To wear my sin and bear my shame. The cross has spoken, I am forgiven The King of kings calls me His own. Beautiful Savior, I'm Yours forever Jesus Christ, my living hope. CHORUS: Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain, there's salvation in Your name Jesus Christ, my living hope. Then came the morning that sealed the promise Your buried body began to breathe Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion Declared the grave has no claim on me. x2 Jesus, Yours is the victory!
