288 Supporter Spotlight Jim and Sherry Smith

WNIT is thrilled to recognize long time Director Circle members and supporters, Jim and Sherry Smith. Jim and Sherry have taken to heart that much of the support for PBS comes from “Viewers Like You”. They are happy to be a part of keeping PBS healthy and vibrant in our community. When their daughters were small, like many other children, they enjoyed Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers and The Electric Company. Now their grandchildren are enjoying many of the new shows like and Dinosaur Train. You can find Jim and Sherry enjoyingMr. Selfridge, Downton Abbey and currently Victoria. Jim served three years as an officer in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and retired from a long career in the medical device industry. Sherry was an elementary school teacher and also stayed at home to raise their daughters. Along with their careers, they have both been involved with supporting the efforts of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail and the New Perspectives on Faith in Goshen. When they both discovered the game of Pickleball in Tucson one winter several years ago, they helped introduce the sport to the Goshen area! WNIT is grateful for Jim and Sherry’s efforts in support of great programming and our community. Directors’ Circle The WNIT Directors’ Circle represents a very dedicated and select group of individuals who, by their commitment, contribute to the total annual support which is the foundation of WNIT’s operating budget. These essential annual contributions make possible the great programs that everyone in Michiana enjoys..
