The :

• The quality of angling in “Lee Wulff Country” is superior to most of the scheduled rivers in eastern . In a land that is sparsely populated and largely undiscovered by anglers, the fishing opportunities are endless. Fishing pressure is very, very low! • Class II Rivers: Smaller and medium size rivers where salmon spawning targets have been met on average since 1992. Rivers that are in remote locations with low angling effort. River that have stable and high catch per unit of effort based on historical data. The daily retention limit will be two per day for Class II rivers. The daily hook and release for Class II rivers will be four fish released per day. • From mid-June to late July, the angling for Atlantic Salmon, "the king of freshwater sport-fishing", will excite the seasoned - and thrill the novice. Feel the power of a leaping wild Atlantic Salmon fresh from the sea! • From mid-July through early September, native sea-run brook enter the rivers from the chilly Atlantic. These fish are plentiful and eager to fight! • All pools (and there are plenty of them) are accessible by wading. Many pools can be reached with a short cast -- ideal for the beginner. Other pools require the longer reach of an experienced fly-caster. Beginner or expert, there are plenty of fish within your reach! • Locally tied (for trout or salmon) are available. • Regardless of whether you're fishing for salmon or trout, you will enjoy the natural beauty, the peaceful solitude and some memorable fishing!

• Our goal is to provide each guest with the best fishing possible at a very reasonable price. You will enjoy some unique scenery during your travel: sweeping highland plateaus that rise up from the rugged coastline, colorful fishing villages far removed from the bustle of urban living and wildlife such as caribou, moose and bald eagle. Recommended Check List:

The following is a recommended check list of things to bring for salmon fishing in Newfoundland. This should include: • 8.5 to 10 foot graphite fly rod (7,8,9, or 10 weight) • Floating weight forward (recommended) or double tapered fly line with a minimum of 100yrds of 20lb Dacron backing. • Tapered or level leaders from 4 to 14 lbs test • An assortment of single hook salmon and trout flies: dry, wet, streamer, high water flies (fully dressed) and low water flies (lightly dressed) and nymphs in sizes 2 through 12. This is best tied, borrowed, or purchased on location. The popular colors for salmon flies in this area are green, silver, and black bodied flies with black or brown hair or feather wings. Flies with a florescent butt work best. Local favorites include: style streamers (all 12 standard types), orange and brown bomber bugs, Green Highlander, Annie Greenway, Thunder and Lightning, Blue Charm, various Wolff's, Silver Tip, and all standard trout flies and nymphs. • Fly vest with typical accessories • • Spinning rod with 8 pound test for on non-salmon rivers and lakes. Hooks/Lures will be provided. • Polarized glasses • Hat • Sun screen and chap stick • Fish handling gloves • Small backpack • Rain gear • Mosquito repellent • Camera/film • Clothes (warm and cool weather) • Specialty tobacco and/or alcohol that may not be available locally

The Guides

• To comply with local government regulations, all non-resident anglers require the services of a professional guide at a ratio of no more than two anglers per guide. • We are fortunate to have some of the best fishing guides in Newfoundland. These men are seasoned professionals who know the Rivers "like the back of their hand"! • From the moment they greet you upon your arrival, these men strive to make your visit productive and memorable -- they aren't happy unless you're catching fish! • In addition to helping you find fish, the guides clean your catch and transport the supplies.
