Anti-TIMM13 (full length) polyclonal antibody (CABT-BL5850) This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic use. PRODUCT INFORMATION Product Overview Mouse polyclonal antibody to Human TIMM13. Antigen Description This gene encodes a translocase with similarity to yeast mitochondrial proteins that are involved in the import of metabolite transporters from the cytoplasm and into the mitochondrial inner membrane. The encoded protein and the TIMM8a protein form a 70 kDa complex in the intermembrane space. This gene is in a head-to-tail orientation with the gene for lamin B2. Immunogen Recombinant full length protein (Human) with tag. Isotype IgG Source/Host Mouse Species Reactivity Human Purification Whole antiserum Conjugate Unconjugated Sequence Similarities Belongs to the small Tim family. Cellular Localization Mitochondrion inner membrane. Format Liquid Size 50 μl Buffer 50% Glycerol, Whole serum Preservative None Storage Shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. BACKGROUND Introduction This gene encodes a member of the evolutionarily conserved TIMM (translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane) family of proteins that function as chaperones in the import of proteins from the cytoplasm into the mitochondrial inner membrane. Proteins of this family play a role in 45-1 Ramsey Road, Shirley, NY 11967, USA Email: [email protected] Tel: 1-631-624-4882 Fax: 1-631-938-8221 1 © Creative Diagnostics All Rights Reserved collecting substrate proteins from the translocase of the outer mitochondrial membrane (TOM) complex and delivering them to either the sorting and assembly machinery in the outer mitochondrial membrane (SAM) complex or the TIMM22 complex in the inner mitochondrial membrane.
