Bulgarian Journal of Agricultural Science, 24(6), 967–974 The aim of this article is to present the author’s point of view and perspective on protection of the results of Bulgarian institutes, centers and other research units in the Bulgarian agriculture science as breeder’s achievements, to present analytical results and to outline the trends in the fi eld of agribusiness. Subject of this article are research inventive achievements in the agribusiness area in Bulgaria, especially plant variet- ies and animal breeds. The special point of the subject of the study is the protection of these results as intellectual property, particularly new varieties of plants and new animal breeds under the Law for Protection of Plant Varieties and Animal Breeds (LPNPVAB) as legislative requirements for protection according to the Law, legal results - quantitative trends and a factor analysis, the list of the main right holders of the protected breeder’s achievements. The practical focus of this article is the analysis of the registration activity of the Bulgarian researchers, scientifi c institutions and companies in agricultural biotech- nologies for the period of 1999-2017 (acting new LPNPVAB) within the Bulgarian patent offi ce as a national responsible authority in intellectual property rights. Petrovska*, V. Valkova Maize Research Institute, 5835 Knezha, Bulgaria (Manuscript received 14 May 2018; accepted for publication 14 September 2018) Abstract. The article presents the biological and morphological parameters of the new grain maize hybrid from middle early group. The hybrid is acknowledged in 2017, after three years of testing in the territorial station at Executive Agency of Variety Testing, Field Inspection and Seed Control (EAVTFISC) with standard American hybrid P 9494 and Knezha 435, a widespread Bulgarian hybrid. During the period of testing under conditions without irrigation in the experimental field of the Maize Research Institute – town of Knezha the three years average of the new hybrid exceeded the standard P 9494 by 7.4%, and Knezha 435 by 8.6%. In the ecological network of the country in 2011, under conditions without irrigation, the hybrid produced grain yield 2.6% above the foreign and 4.7% above the Bulgarian standard. In 2016 at EAVTFISC the Knezha 461 maize hybrid exceeded by average grain yield the P9494 standard by 1.5%. The testing was conducted at four points under non-irrigated conditions. The moisture content in the harvesting time is near to that of P9494 and lower than the moisture of Knezha 435.

    Annex REPORT FOR 2019 UNDER THE “HEALTH CARE” PRIORITY of the NATIONAL ROMA INTEGRATION STRATEGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA 2012 - 2020 Operational objective: A national monitoring progress report has been prepared for implementation of Measure 1.1.2. “Performing obstetric and gynaecological examinations with mobile offices in settlements with compact Roma population”. During the period 01.07—20.11.2019, a total of 2,261 prophylactic medical examinations were carried out with the four mobile gynaecological offices to uninsured persons of Roma origin and to persons with difficult access to medical facilities, as 951 women were diagnosed with diseases. The implementation of the activity for each Regional Health Inspectorate is in accordance with an order of the Minister of Health to carry out not less than 500 examinations with each mobile gynaecological office. Financial resources of BGN 12,500 were allocated for each mobile unit, totalling BGN 50,000 for the four units. The assessment methods of social programmes (projects) efficiency are related to the social system’s orientation towards social protection and social services of the population and the use of the process approach and the transition to programme-target methods, outlining the main issues and mechanisms for social services and tasks for assessment, determining the basic requirements for efficiency assessment of social programming and the various stages. Considering all these matters, the research offers social programming efficiency assessment model based on “organizational efficiency” approach that covers a number of certain elements: system for resources acquisition, choice of goals, assessment of the impact on the external environment, choice of strategy, following the “what if” principle and the priorities of social activity, arising from the dynamic changes in social environment. Special emphasis is put on the differentiated effect on higher education institutions, depending on the field in which universities carry out teaching and research activities, as well as on the peculiarities of the university business model in the changing environment for development of the higher education institutions. Koshev Institute of Zoology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 1 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd., 1000 Sofi a, Bulgaria; E-mails: [email protected]; [email protected] Abstract: The study based on 109 examined coprological samples from the European ground squirrel (Spermophilus citellus) from 10 localities in Bulgaria shows the presence of 4 species of Eucoccidians: Eimeria citelli Kartchner & Becker, 1930 (Prevalence: 92.7%), E. callospermophilli Henry, 1932 (Prevalence: 66.6%), E. cynomysis Andrews, 1928 (Prevalence: 14.6%) and Klossia sp. (Prevalence: 6.3%). Data on coccid- ian invasion, depending on the age and sex of the hosts, as well as the problem of mixed invasions, are discussed. A more detailed morphological and biometrical description of Klossia sp. oocysts is given and the problem of parasitism of this species in vertebrate hosts is also discussed.
