BY HANNAH ONGLEY Haven't picked out a costume for this weekend? Just go as Pennywise the Clown. According to this sorta-kinda official list of America's creepiest characters from film and television, the case for a timeless look is just as strong at as is any other time of the year.

E-Score, the nation's leading character-research service, asked 1,500 consumers across different income, age, education, and geographic demographics to determine the creepiest inhabitants of America's small and big screen. While the 15 creepiest film characters are all pretty objectively terrifying, the television choices are slightly more controversial. Mr. Burns creepier than the Teletubbies? Clearly these people have never seen the latter in black-and- white. Anyway, here are your top picks, America:
