The week also includes several tournaments as Dartmouth hits the road for PLAYER OF THE WEEK the first time this season to play in the Bradley University Tournament, Harvard takes part in Brown senior goalkeeper Paul Grandstrand (Orono, Maine) led the Bears to a 1-0-2 record last week by the Lobo Classic and both Princeton and Penn recording three shutouts. With two of Brown’s three games ending in ties, Grandstrand played 310:00 minutes participate in a showdown with BIG EAST foes and stopped all 13 shots he faced. His week began by shutting out the Providence College Friars in a 0-0 Georgetown and Villanova. Another schedule draw that saw the senior make five saves. Next, Grandstrand turned aside five more shots in Brown’s 1-0 win highlight is undefeated Brown playing host to against South Carolina. He then finished out the week by making 3 saves in the Bears’ 0-0 draw with Hofstra. perennial power and 18th-ranked Indiana. His performances against South Carolina and Hofstra enabled the Bears to be named Co-Champions of the 2010 Brown Soccer Classic. Thursday, September 16 CO-ROOKIES OF THE WEEK Saint Joseph’s at Cornell 7 pm Columbia freshman forward Henning Sauerbier (Dueren, Germany) and Cornell freshman midfielder Daniel Haber (To- ronto, Ontario) earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors after notching a goal and an assist apiece. Friday, September 17 1 - Villanova at Penn 5 pm Sauerbier tallied a goal and an assist over two games, helping Columbia claim the Mayor’s Cup trophy with a win and a 2 - No. 6 Harvard vs. UCSB 6:30 pm tie at the annual event. The German forward was an ironman in Friday’s game against Hartwick, playing all 110 minutes of No. 18 Indiana at Brown 7 pm a 2-2 draw. Sauerbier began his offensive assault in the second half against the Hawks, when he made a run in the 47th 1 - No. 20 Georgetown at Princeton 7:30 pm minute that resulted in a penalty kick being called. Kickoff is slated for 7:15 p.m. for World Cup Celebration Night. Reno’s unbeaten streak began with a win over the playoff-contending Portland Timbers 2 back on April 21 in Portland. Reno has not lost a game since and will look to build on its playoff campaign against a squad one spot ahead in the Western Conference standings. Reno sits in seventh place after starting off the year at the bottom of the table going winless through its first four matches. Reno is coming off a 2-0 road win over San Antonio FC. Forward Brian Brown leads the club with five goals while Antoine Hoppenot sits atop the assist rankings with six. Portland has maintained its excellent form despite going 2-3 in their past five matches. Foster Langs- dorf leads the club with six goals this year, just three behind Golden Boot leaders Kharlton Belmar and Thomas Enevoldsen.
