PRODUCTION BIOS

SPENCER PROFFER (Executive Producer) – Spencer Proffer has been at the forefront of successful and inventive multimedia projects for years. Throughout an extensive entertainment career, he has consistently broken new ground with pioneering work on both creative and business fronts. As a marketing and media architect with an anchor in how music plays an organic role in various platforms, he has created and then implemented numerous initiatives on behalf of major television networks, advertising agencies, online, record and motion picture companies. He also has a meaningful history of producing socially conscious events and enterprises, which have both charitable as well as commercial components. His progressive thinking and results are also highlighted in both The Wall Street Journal article on the Citizens Of The World enterprise which he architected and co-produced as well as in the Huffington Post where they have premiered M17 band Flying Machines’ English language version of “Citizens” with an embedded player and free download.

Proffer is a highly regarded media producer and strategist with a long history of connecting with audiences. His productions have garnered Academy®, Golden Globe®, Emmy®, Grammy® and Tony® awards and nominations, and as music producer, Proffer has sold millions of gold and platinum records. A recent accomplishment for which he is quite proud is winning the Grand Prize Gold Medal at the 7th Annual Park City Film Music Festival for his production, songwriting, scoring and music supervision work on the acclaimed documentary film, narrated by Maya Angelou entitled "As Seen Through These Eyes."

As a music director/supervisor, he has handled over 120+ films/television project in a proactive, hands-on capacity for most of the key motion picture studios and major broadcast television networks. In addition to implementing the creative elements, Proffer’s work included negotiating all talent, licensing and soundtrack elements on behalf of the respective studio, network or production company. Over 35 of these were nominated or won major industry awards, and includes work with CBS, NBC, ABC, MTV, VH-1, Showtime Networks, TNT, USA Networks, Paramount, Touchstone, Lions Gate, 20th Century Fox and New Line Cinema. Additionally, he oversaw Showtime’s music interests on all levels for seven years, off campus.

In addition to his music duties, Proffer has also worked in a production capacity on ten financed and distributed films. He served as a producer & cast producer of the four time Tony nominated Broadway hit, It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues; the two time Emmy® nominated television special, "Robbie Robertson, Coming Home," CBS mini-series “Shake Rattle and Roll” and HBO’s award-winning multi-cultural series “Happily Ever After,” as music producer, director, songwriter. He was also a co-executive producer of “Gods and Monsters” which won Academy®, Golden Globe®, Independent Spirit and other major awards.

Brian May of Queen, Ritchie Sambora of Bon Jovi, Graham Nash, , Beach Boys, and N’Sync to name a few. Amongst the 190 which Proffer has produced throughout his career, he helmed ’s Acid Queen album from her role in ’s “” while serving as worldwide chief of A&R at United Artists as well as Quiet Riot’s “Metal Health,” the first debut hard rock album to reach #1 on the Billboard charts, selling over 7 million copies at that time.

As an early pioneer of laser light shows, Proffer also shepherded the first #1 rock album (Billy Thorpe’s Children Of The Sun) to be developed into computer-animated laser choreography and exhibited in planetariums across North America.

Proffer is an honors graduate of Loyola University School of Law and UCLA, has taught numerous courses at UCLA, USC and Syracuse University and served on the Dean’s Council at the American University School of Communication in Washington, DC. Proffer is married with two sons, Morgan and Sterling.

TREVOR DRINKWATER (Executive Producer) – Prior to founding ARC Entertainment, Trevor Drinkwater had a successful career with large consumer products companies including Nestle Foods, Warner Brothers and Take 2 Interactive. Drinkwater started carrying a bag as an entry-level sales representative at Nestle Foods and quickly progressed to become the youngest general manager in the history of the company. At Nestle, Drinkwater was classically trained in the crafts of brand management, category management, retail strategies and operations. After Nestle, he joined Warner Brothers in the Home Entertainment division which introduced him to entertainment products and content development. After a five year stint at Warner Brothers, Drinkwater joined Take 2 Interactive, a leading video game publisher, as COO, North America. Drinkwater decided to become an entrepreneur in early 2004, which led him to Genius Products, Inc. He was named President and CEO of Genius in February 2005. Shortly thereafter, Genius Products completed a transaction with The Weinstein Company to become its exclusive home entertainment distributor in the United States. Subsequent to that, Drinkwater and his team secured distribution agreements with an impressive client base including, among others, WWE, Discovery Channel, Sesame Workshop, ESPN and Classic Media. The company experienced explosive growth in 2006 and 2007, and established itself as a premier retail-centric distributor with expertise in both brand building and retail programs.

Drinkwater earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1988 and continued his formal education by completing the Executive Finance program at Wharton in 2003.

SEAN MCNAMARA (Director & Writer) – Sean McNamara has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years as a director, writer and producer and is a four-time DGA Award and Emmy® nominee and BAFTA Award winner. A highly sought after talent, he has directed, written and/or produced over 20 feature films and 400 episodic television shows. McNamara’s most recent film, “Soul Surfer,” starring Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid, Sophia Robb and Carrie Underwood tells the inspirational tale of pro-surfer Bethany Hamilton who tragically lost her arm after a shark attack. McNamara’s amazing work made “Soul Surfer” a film filled with as much heart and emotion as gleeful suspense.

Beyond “Soul Surfer,” McNamara is also known for directing “The Suite Life” movie for Disney, “Robosapian” from mega producer Avi Arad (“Spiderman”), the live action theatrical “Bratz,” based on the best-selling dolls which has grossed $26,000,000 worldwide to date, and New Line Cinema’s “Raise Your Voice,” along with numerous television shows including “Dance Revolution” for DIC/CBS Saturday Morning, “Even Stevens” and “That’s So Raven” also for the Disney Channel.

McNamara was born in Burbank California, the only son in a family of five, he attended Loyola Marymount University where he received his BA in Film and Television and is a proud father of three boys. He is currently writing a film about the first teenage girl to sail solo around the world.

JEFF PHILLIPS (Writer) – Jeff Phillips began writing for features and television in 1995. He is a ten time produced screenwriter, an award winning director/producer and a member of the Writer’s Guild of America. He splits his time between writing big budget action and science fiction stories and smaller family fare for both film and television. He currently has a heist thriller in development at Warner Bros. He is also a published novelist and has recently completed his second graphic novel.

RON BASS (Writer) – Ron Bass was born and raised in , California and began writing at a young age. In 1974, he published his first novel The Perfect Thief followed by Lime’s Crisis: A Novel in 1982 and The Emerald Illusion in 1984. His first screenplay “Code Name: Emerald” was based on his novel.

In 1988, Bass received an Academy Award® for Best Original Screenplay for the film “Rain Man” starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. Since then he has written numerous award-winning screenplays including “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “How Stella Got Her Groove Back,” “What Dreams May Come,” “Stepmom,” “Snow Falling on Cedars” and “Amelia.”

Before his career as a screenwriter, Bass practiced law in the entertainment industry for 17 years and holds his law degree from Harvard Law School.
