I married the Grinch, True Story,By The Grinch FamilyI buy these for my special needs adult daughter...She LOVES these. I do too. lol Sammy Baker is a quiet kid who wishes he wasn't so shy and timid. He is frightened but eager to prove he can be brave. On Halloween night, he follows his friends to the Marple House, an abandoned mansion on the other side of town. Just past midnight, he feels a cold tingle at the back of his neck. The cold seeps down, a heavy chill he has never felt before. Soon, his whole head feels like a block of ice. He's about to scream-but the cold feeling vanishes. Sammy doesn't realize that he has just met The Haunter, and that his nightmares are only just beginning. About the AuthorR.L. This is a great book for all "Goosebumps" fansBy Alex MestThis is a great book for all "Goosebumps" fans. I enjoyed it very much. The artwork is also very good. However, Slappy gives away his own ending before you even read it. But other than that, it's great, and the artwork in "A shocker on shock street" is amazing.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. "Retro" but not perfect reprintsBy Davis BickfordThe overall package is nice and mostly what I was expecting. As a 28 year old who read the books as they first came out 20 years ago, it was great to travel down memory lane.Only a few complaints:- The cover titles are flat instead of the raised texture on the original prints. One of the best things about the originals was the bumpy cover!- The books no longer have the numbers on the side, though I can understand how this might confuse people today. It just won't add perfectly into a collection of the original 62 numbered books, if that's your intention.- I noticed some small changes to the writing itself in Welcome to Dead House. The birth and death years found on tombstones were changed to be 16 years later than the original book. Knowing the book was first printed in the 90s made it odd to read a death year of 2004.
