Storrington & Sullington Parish Storrington & Sullington Parish HDC SHELAA Housing Land Report by Parish, December 2018 Storrington & Sullington Parish The following sites have been considered as part of the December 2018 SHELAA Housing Land Assessment for the Parish. A map depicting the entire site area and summary of each site assessment is included on the following pages. Please note that the classification of a site is based on the classification of the developable area within that site, therefore if part of a site is considered ‘developable’ 6‐10 years, the whole site would be coloured yellow, however in reality only part of that site may be considered suitable for development. The outcome of the assessment for Storrington & Sullington Parish is summarised as follows: SHELAA Site Name Site Address Outcome of Total Reference Assessment Units SA086 Storrington Glebe The Glebe, Monastery Lane, Storrington Green (1-5 Years 9 Deliverable) SA518 Robell Way ('Paula Rosa') Robell Way, Sullington Green (1-5 Years 90 Deliverable) SA673 Storrington Squash Club Greyfriars Lane Storrington Green (1-5 Years 8 Deliverable) SA748 Ravenscroft Allotments Ravenscroft Storrington Green (1-5 Years 35 Deliverable) SA153 RAFA site Sullington Yellow (6-10 Years 15 Developable) SA549 Land at Old Mill Drive ('The Storrington Yellow (6-10 Years 20 Diamond') Developable) SA550 Land at the Post Office High Street, Storrington Yellow (6-10 Years 10 Depot Developable) SA561 Angell Sandpit Water Lane, Storrington Yellow (6-10 Years 6 Developable) SA618 Land off Downsview Avenue Storrington Yellow (6-10 Years 60 Developable) SA361 Land to the north of Melton Melton Drive, Storrington Yellow (11+ Years 40 Drive Developable) SA485 Land adjacent to Bax Close, Amberley Road, Storrington Yellow (11+ Years 20 (off Amberley Road) Developable) SA486 Land adjacent to Clay Lane Clay Lane, Storrington Yellow (11+ Years 60 Developable) SA732 Land South of Northlands Northlands Lane, Storrington Yellow (11+ Years 30 Lane Developable) SA020 Land adjacent to Birklands Kithurst Lane, Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable SA021 Land south of Kithurst Lane Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable SA316 Rear of Hurston Grove Hurston Lane, Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable SA379 Land off Ryecroft Lane Bellacre, Ryecroft Lane, Storrington Not Currently 0 (Old Ryecroft Allotments) Developable HDC SHELAA Housing Land Report by Parish, December 2018 SA544 Land at Chantry Lane Storrington Not Currently 0 Industrial Estate Developable SA617 Land at Hartswood House Water Lane, Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable SA639 Land off Fryern Road Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable SA763 Land West of Greenacres Hurston Lane, Storrington Not Currently 0 Developable HDC SHELAA Housing Land Report by Parish, December 2018 Parish Storrington and Sullington SHLAA Reference SA086 Site Name Storrington Glebe Years 1-5 Deliverable Site Address Land at The Glebe, Monastery Lane, Storrington Years 6-10 Developable Years 11+ Site Area (ha) 2.1 Suitable Not Currently Developable Greenfield/PDL Greenfield Available Site Total 9 Achievable Justification The site has planning permission for 9 dwellings, a redeveloped doctors surgery and new pharmacy via planning application DC/16/2108. • Storrington, Sullington and Washington Neighbourhood Plan
Storrington, Sullington and Washington WASHINGTON PARISH COUNCIL Neighbourhood Plan Dear Sirs Storrington, Sullington & Washington Neighbourhood Plan: Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment Scoping Letter I set out below for your attention the proposed scope of the Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA) to accompany the forthcoming Storrington, Sullington & Washington Neighbourhood Plan (SSWNP). This letter and its appendices should be regarded as the Scoping Report of the SSWNP in accordance with Stage A of the provisions of the Environmental Assessment of Plans & Programmes Regulations 2004 (which implement EU Directive 2001/42). As a statutory consultee in the Regulations you are invited to comment on this report and I would be grateful for your comment by 26th September 2014. Background The SSWNP is being prepared by the Storrington & Sullington Parish Council and Washington Parish Council as qualifying bodies under the 2012 Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations. In accordance with the 2004 Regulations 2004, the local planning authority, Horsham District Council, issued its formal screening opinion on 20 May 2014, concluding that an SEA is required and that it would prefer this is undertaken as part of a wider Sustainability Appraisal (SA/SEA). In its decision, the District Council has not made its reasons explicit for reaching this conclusion, but it is understood that the likely intention of the SSWNP to contain policies allocating land for development is the primary reason. A third of the designated area lies within the South Downs National Park and there are no European sites within the area, although the area does lie within the 15km buffer zone of the Arundel Valley SAC/SPA/Ramsar site.

BILLINGSHURST PARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN BUSINESS CONSULTATION RESULTS – OCTOBER 2016/JANUARY 2017 The questionnaire comprised 15 questions, some with multiple choice answers, plus there were boxes for comments. Not all respondents answered every question and as some were multiple choice this is the reason for the difference in totals given there were 62 respondents to this Business Consultation. However, it was thought that some may want to view the results as percentages so a separate overview document accompanies the consultation which can be read in conjunction with the consultation.
