Jeff Hostetler, Class of 1979 April/May 2013 Alumni of the Month

Upon graduation from Conemaugh Township High School in 1979, Jeff went on to graduate from in 1983. Recognizing his remarkable talent as a , the drafted him into the in 1984. Six years later, he lead the Giants to victory as the winning quarterback during XXV held in 1991. Following nine years with the New York Giants, he went on to play four years for the Oakland Raiders and an additional two seasons with the Washington Redskins.

Twenty years ago, Jeff and his wife Vicky saw an opportunity to give back and bless the lives of others by founding the Hoss Foundation. The Hoss Foundation, "is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established to help meet the needs of children and/or families facing hardships due to traumatic injury, illness, or financial crisis.” Under the direction of the Hostetlers, the Hoss Foundation grew from a small, family affair, into an organization embracing hundreds of members in the local community. Jeff is fond of his time at Conemaugh Township High School. Remembering his favorite teachers, Mr. DeBiase, Mr. Horne, Mr. Majer, Mr. Hemphill, and Mr. Michaels, he said, "I loved them." And of course, he has never forgotten the water works at graduation!

Married 29 years, Jeff and Vicky currently reside in Morgantown, West Virginia, and are the parents of three sons, Jason, Justin, and Tyler. They have welcomed one granddaughter to the family.
