He earned a degree from the University of Thessaloniki in 1981 and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1985, both in Chemical Engineering. After a year with the Greek Armed Forces, he joined Rohm and Haas in Bristol, PA, USA. He held positions of increasing responsibility, including Sr. Chemical Engineer, Group Leader of the Process Economics Center and Process Control Manager for Polymers & Resins worldwide. Antonis became a US citizen in May of 1995. In 1997 Antonis moved to London, England as the Purchasing Manager for Rohm and Haas (UK) Ltd. and later became the Purchasing & Logistics Manager, Europe, for Performance Polymers. He became Commercial Manager for Construction Adhesives, Europe, in January of 2001. Antonis moved to Paris, France in July 2001, to become Business Manager, Packaging and Converting, Europe for Rohm and Haas. He repatriated to the US in 2005 and joined Engelhard Corporation (now BASF) as Global Business Manager for Stationary Source and Indoor Air. He joined Arkema in February of 2007 as Business Director, Organic Peroxides, Americas. In September of 2008, he was promoted to General Manager, Sustainability Additives and in February 2012 joined Altuglas International (a subsidiary of Arkema) as the Regional Group President, Americas. Antonis joined LANXESS Corporation as its President and CEO in July, 2015. On April 1st, 2016, Antonis added the role of President and CEO of ARLANXEO USA LLC to his responsibilities. Antonis is married and has three children. 7 Master of Ceremonies Bill Flanagan Chief Corporate Relations Officer, Allegheny Conference on Community Development Bill Flanagan serves as Chief Corporate Relations Officer for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and its affiliated regional development organizations: The Pennsylvania Economy League of Greater Pittsburgh LLC, the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance and the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce. In this role, Bill guides the development of regional and organizational messaging strategy and supervises Investor Relations activities, including membership development and programming, as well as fundraising. An experienced broadcast journalist, Bill has told the story of the transformation of the economy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for more than 30-years. He serves as host and producer of “Our Region’s Business,” a weekly business public affairs program on WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, PA, the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel (PCNC), and YouTube. As President of The Pittsburgh G-20 Partnership in 2009, Bill helped to organize the public/private partnership of organizations from across southwestern Pennsylvania that came together to welcome the world for the Pittsburgh Summit. As Executive Director of Pittsburgh 250, the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the naming of Pittsburgh in 2008, Bill supervised a multi-year, 14-county initiative. Bill came to work in southwestern Pennsylvania in 1982 as a reporter for KDKA-TV. He served as the station’s Money Editor for 13 years and has written about personal finance for The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and KDKA-AM. Bill serves on the boards of Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc. and Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area. A graduate of Northwestern University (B.S. Speech), Bill holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a native of Dover, Delaware. 8 Conference Speakers Todd Dina Director Global Olefins, IHS Markit Todd joined IHS Markit Chemical in 2016 as Director Global Olefins responsible as the global lead on Propylene Studies as well as the service leader for the North America Light Olefins Market Advisory Service. He focuses primarily on olefins and the analysis of the propylene and propylene derivatives markets for IHS Markit clients. He also manages the global propylene market intelligence studies for the company and contributes regular commentary on these markets for other IHS Markit Chemicals reports. In addition, Todd contributes propylene analysis to the World Propylene Analysis, an annual study also published by IHS Markit. Todd graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. John Dietrich Senior Editor, ICIS John Dietrich is a senior editor for ICIS and has been with the company for seven years. John covers the US phenol/acetone and derivatives market and has also covered the US olefins market and has worked with the ICIS base oils team. He has spoken on the phenol/ acetone market at several conferences in Europe and Asia. John is a product of the University of Missouri’s journalism program and was a Dow Jones Newspaper Fund intern. 9 Conference Speakers Martha Moore Senior Director, American Chemistry Council Martha Gilchrist Moore is senior director for policy analysis and economics at the American Chemistry Council. In that role, she analyzes the impact of various policy initiatives and energy trends on the chemical industry, in particular recent developments in shale gas. She also directs the Council’s research on the direct and indirect economic contributions of the business of chemistry and the benefits to consumers. Ms. Moore has worked on chemical industry issues for more than 20 years and is an authority on the market dynamics for the chemical industry and its end-use customer industries. Ms. Moore holds a master’s degree in economics from Indiana University and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the National Association for Business Economics and the US Association for Energy Economics. Julianne Heins Supply Chain Director, Seneca Resources Co. Julianne Heins leads the Supply Chain function for Seneca Resources Corporation, the oil and natural gas exploration and production segment of National Fuel Gas Company. Seneca’s Supply Chain Group is responsible for the Company’s sourcing activities as well as for inventory, warehousing and fleet management. Ms. Heins currently serves on the board of ISM-Pittsburgh as the Director of Scholarships. She is a current member of the Supply Chain and the Natural Gas Use Committees of the Marcellus Shale Coalition. Ms. Heins has also served two terms on the board of the Women’s Energy Network Board as Secretary.
