We would have preferred to have been able to mention everyone who has helped in whatever way in the preparation of this Parish Plan and the various activities over the past couple of years but space does not permit this. As a Steering Group we are so grateful because we could not have done this alone.

That being said, we need to specifically mention a few and trust that those not mentioned will understand.

We would like to thank the members of the Parish Council, first of all for entrusting us with the task of preparing the Parish Plan and then for their support along the way. They have shown interest and have asked for updates at each of the regular Council meetings as well as some members assisting on the Steering Group itself. Special appreciation to Jeff Rawlinson (Clerk) who, in addition to Council meetings, has overseen the financial side and was so helpful in the proof reading of the Plan.

To Sue and Ken as proprietors of the Kings’ Arms who have allowed us to hold our Steering Group meetings there since the beginning and for being prepared to help in connection with the siting of the Farmers’ Market and general support.

Paul Bowerman has worked in the background by creating the Parish Plan website and updating this as and when advised and we are grateful for that facility being available to all.

Andrew Talbot of Aqueous UK limited gave invaluable help in the preparation and printing of the Parish Plan Questionnaire, the compiling of the statistical information, and the layout and final printing of this Parish Plan and the accompanying Action Plans that are for general distribution throughout the Parish. His experience and expertise assisted greatly and it is so encouraging to have been able to find such a combination of professionalism and personal attention.

Various personnel from Community Action have helped us and will continue to do so as we, and others, begin to implement the Action Plans.

Mike Edwards supplied the historical photographs and we thank him and Rod Lees for the time spent in compiling these in date order so far as could be ascertained.

So thank you to each and every one, and we trust that we will be able to see improvements in the coming months and years as we work together to improve our community.

The Steering Group.
