Nha Trang & Dalat in 7 Days Where is Nha Trang? Nha Trang is in the southeastern Vietnam. The city lies at the mouth of the Cai River, 256 miles (412 km) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Vietnam’s most famous seaside resort-town. It's also the scuba diving center of Vietnam. How to Get to Nha Trang Travellers have the option of arriving by plane, train or bus. 1. The dry season takes place between November and March, while rainy weather lasts from April to October. On average, temperatures are highest in May (30°C - 32°C) and lowest in January (20°C - 23°C). Rainy Season in Da Lat If you’re travelling to Da Lat during the rainy season, you will benefit from cheaper rates and fewer tourists. Despite the occasional showers and cold weather, you can still explore the town’s many French villas, Buddhist shrines, and quirky landmarks such as Crazy House. We highly recommend packing some long-sleeved clothing as night-time temperatures tend to hover at around 10°C. Best Time to Come to Da Lat The best time to visit Da Lat is between December and March when you can see its famous flower gardens in full bloom. Temperatures at this time of the year are ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and walking. Da Lat also hosts its biannual flower festival during this time, where you can enjoy vibrant parades, exhibitions and workshops, as well as the colourful flowers that surround Xuan Huong Lake. What you should take note : Trousers and jumpers are needed if visiting Dalat from November to around March as temperatures hover at about 10°C.

    Da Lat At one time Da Lat was an ideal holiday retreat, set amongst the low hills of the Central Highlands. It was originally founded in 1897 by Alexander Yersin and Dalat city was established in 1912. The city served as a hill station for the French trying to escape the heat of the plains and delta. The city enjoys a year round spring like climate and this lovely setting and ideal climate have made the city a hit with domestic and foreign tourists alike. Da Lat has a charming French district behind the Rap 3-4 cinema, which is well worth exploring. This is also where a number of the good hotels in Da Lat are situated. In the centre of town there is a large fresh produce market which sells some of the nicest strawberries (when in season) that you can ever hope to taste! Da Lat is also the centre of kitsch in Vietnam. Keep an eye out for the Dalat Cowboys, who ride around the town on horseback. You an also take a ride on a swan boat in the lake or buy one of the dozens of tacky trinkets on sale in the market. Da Lat has a lot worth visiting, especially if you are into kitsch. Dalat has the only eighteen hole golf course in Vietnam, and anyone can play a round there! A few hours could quite easily be spent riding bikes around the lake a stopping off at the interesting sights near it. The Botanical gardens also offers a lovely place to hang out.

AIR If you intend to visit only a few cities in Vietnam and do not want to spend too much time on trasporting between different destinations, flying is the most convenient way to travel. Vietnam Airlines operates on domestic routes and flies to places like Phu Quoc Island and Rach Gia that are difficult to reach by other means. There are direct flights on Vietnam Airlines to Hue, Danang, Dalat, Nha Trang, Dien Bien Phu, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon, Pleiku and Saigon. To connect the two major cities like Hanoi and Saigon, Vietnam Airlines run more than 20 flights per day. There are five international airports welcoming tourists to Vietnam. These are Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Danang International Airport in Danang, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Saigon, Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa and Phu Quoc International Airport in Kien Giang.
