MUNICIPALITY of Mccreary MUNICIPALITY OF McCREARY Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of the Municipality of McCreary held on March 18, 2020 in the Municipality of McCreary Council Chambers located at 432 First Avenue in McCreary, Manitoba. Head of Council Gawaziuk called this regular meeting to order at 5:57 p.m. PRESENT: Head of Council Mike Gawaziuk Deputy Head of Council Shawn Buchanan Councillor Donna Duggan Councillor John Graves Councillor Craig Terrick Chief Administrative Officer Wendy Turko Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this meeting was held using Social Distancing practices. BY-LAWS: #119/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #8/2019 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary to set out the terms and conditions of employment be given second reading. CARRIED. 4 Approved by Resolution # /2020 Municipality of McCreary Regular Meeting March 18, 2020 #120/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #8/2019 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary to set out the terms and conditions of employment be given third and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. #121/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the hours of employment provided for in By- Law #8/2019 take effect and begin on Sunday, March 29, 2020. CARRIED. #122/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #1/2020 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary providing for participation in the Inter- Mountain Watershed District be given third and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. #123/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #2/2020 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary providing for participation in the Whitemud Watershed District be given third reading and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. #124/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #3/2020 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary continuing the McCreary Recreation Commission be given third and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. #125/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #4/2020 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary to establish and continue the Municipality of McCreary Fire Reserve Fund be given third and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. #126/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-Law #5/2020 being a By-Law of the Municipality of McCreary to establish and continue the Municipality of McCreary Equipment Reserve Fund be given third and final reading. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: a) Fire Safety Inspection: The Progress Report on Municipal Facilities was discussed. Follow-up Inspections are to be planned after May, 2020. On site monthly inspections of municipality facilities are to be done by the Operations Foreman. b) Gravel Prospecting and 2020 Gravelling Program – TO BE COPIED: Gravelling Map will be considered at a later time. Quarry Permits will be followed up on as they are necessary for the Right of Entry completion. 5 Approved by Resolution # /2020 Municipality of McCreary Regular Meeting March 18, 2020 Consider Quotes Received: #127/2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Municipality of McCreary accept the quote of CAPP Transport Ltd for hauling and spreading approximately 10,000 yards of crushed gravel at the rate of $0.50 per yard to load and haul and at a rate of $0.37 per yard for hauling per mile, on the understanding that this work will be completed no later July 31, 2020. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that loads under 5 miles will be at a rate of $40.00 per load hauled as quoted.
