COPY ROTATION INSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS

1. We do recommend that agencies use the Caria rotation system where­ever possible. ​ ​ If you want more information please contact the ITV Traffic Department. If you are not using a Caria instruction please contact ITV Traffic for a Copy Instruction Template

2. Copy Instructions for more than one channel will be accepted on one schedule if all requirements and details are identical and the areas involved are clearly shown. Additional comments pertaining to one Channel or Broadcaster, however written, are liable to cause confusion, delay and greatly increase the risk of misinterpretation and error.

3. The Client and Product must be clearly identified on the paperwork. The Product name ​ ​ used on the instructions should be identical to the bookings made by the media departments, and this in turn should match the details provided to

4. Rotation instructions must be clear and concise. All instructions given, or changes to instructions made by telephone will e­mail confirmation. Instructions affecting Transmission Days (up to and including 2 days from transmission) will require immediate confirmation by e­mail.

5. All emails sent to [email protected] are replied to. If a reply is not received then we ​ ​ ​ have not received your email. We also recommend that last minute revisions are followed up ​ by a telephone call.

nd 6. All UK copy must be cleared prior to transmission by Clearcast at 4 Roger Street, 2 ​ Floor, ​ ​ ​ London, WC1N 2JX. Clearcast.co.uk

7. All UTV Ireland copy will be checked and cleared by UTV Ireland’s internal Copy ​ ​ Clearance Committee. Copy will be checked for compliance with all broadcast codes (BAI) ​ and industry (ASAI/AMCMB) codes, as well as internal station policy codes. Commercial scripts and storyboards should be submitted for pre­approval to ‘[email protected]’ at least 5 working days prior to transmission. While commercials can be ​ approved at script level final clearance can only be given on receipt of final copy.
