Volcano Project (50 points) DUE: Friday, May 4th 2018

Assignment: You work for a travel agency that specializes in travel to famous volcanoes. Your job is to create a travel brochure about one famous that would encourage or influence people to visit this spectacular place. You must choose your volcano from the list provided to you by no later than Friday, April 13, (we will spend time choosing in class on that date if you do not choose ahead of time). Volcano choices are a first come, first serve basis. If there is one you are interested in and definitely want to research, tell me right away. You must make an eye-catching, informative, three-fold brochure highlighting information about the volcano.

Purpose: Your purpose is both persuasive and informative. Your job is to attract the reader of the brochure to the volcano.

Writer’s Role: You are a member of the advertising team for an adventure travel agency.

Form: Your brochure should be neat and laid out in a three-fold format using both the front and back of each page. The back of the brochure should have your bibliography (the list of websites/resources where you found your information). The brochure should be colorful and visually appealing, and should include photos and graphics. See the layout chart for specific information.

*If you need help with this assignment I will be holding two extra help sessions after school. We will be able to visit the computer lab, and you can complete your research in there.
