ORMS Newsletter 1 – June 4, 2021

Return of CCPS Laptops and MIFI Devices: All CCPS laptops (with chargers) and MiFi devices borrowed from Carroll County Public Schools MUST be returned by the end of the school year. We will be collecting laptops with chargers from students who are in- person on Thursday, 6/10, so please make sure your child brings their device(s) with them to school that day. For families with fully virtual students, you will need to return your child’s borrowed device(s) on Wednesday, 6/16 between 8:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. OR on Thursday, 6/17 between 12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. PLEASE WRITE YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON A STICKY NOTE AND PUT THIS ON THE DEVICE WHEN RETURNING IT.

Review grades on Home Access Center: Please check your child’s grades and progress on the Home Access Center.

Announcing this week’s ORMS Achievement Raffle Winners: Ethan S. Matthew B. Jude Kim Laith J. Caroline R Anthony M.

This raffle is to help ORMS students stay motivated and reward them for an outstanding work ethic. Only those students who have handed in all assignments for the quarter in every academic and related arts class will be eligible to enter the raffle. Every Friday, we will raffle off a $10 gift card per team. We will also raffle off one - $25 gift card per grade at the end of the quarter. If a student wins a weekly prize, they will still be eligible for the end-of-quarter raffle. We will contact the families of any virtual students who win the raffles so that they can pick up and sign for the gift cards.

ORMS Overdue and Lost Books We have been advised that there will not be any fees charged for overdue and lost books as of 21st. We would like our overdue and lost library materials returned so we may add them to our collection as some of them are in high demand.

• Visually, our books have a white spine label on the spine of the book and a black and white barcode on the back cover. • Our audio books are in orange cases. These cost $60+ so there would be a great financial loss if not returned. • If you and your child/guardian has received a late or lost email from us, please have them look for the visual clues while looking for our materials.

Thank you in advance for supporting our media center by promoting library material responsibility. Thank you, Mrs. Cherry and Ms. Keffer
