Tandberg Data DPS1000 Series is a data protection solution that enables Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) desktop systems and backup servers to perform backup and recovery operations. DPS1000 Series provides a shared system that can be used by up to 100 individual iSCSI initiators as a private tape library. This guide enables you to plan and perform DPS1000 Series deployment. About this guide The DPS1000 Series Installation Guide is designed to help you plan your DPS1000 Series deployment and configure DPS1000 Series. The following chapters are included: • Preparing for Deployment — Describes configuration decisions that must be made before deployment begins. • Configuring DPS1000 Series — Describes how to set up the default users and configure DPS1000 Series settings. • Configuring Windows Initiators — Describes how to connect Windows initiators to DPS1000 Series. • Configuring Linux Initiators — Describes how to connect Linux initiators to DPS1000 Series. • Troubleshooting — Describes problems you might encounter while operating DPS1000 Series and provides suggestions for resolving the problems.
