New Scoreboard for Citizens Business Bank Arena Sports Fans to Cheer for BIGGER Screens, Better Clarity! Tuesday, August 21, 2018 (Ontario, California) This fall the home teams at Citizens Business Bank Arena will have a new and improved scoreboard to capture all the action. When the venue opened in 2008 the scoreboard was purchased slightly used. It still had several years of operating time, however after ten years that time has run out. Last season there were many guests that let the management team of the Arena know it was time for a new scoreboard. “We send a survey to our ticket buyers, we review and take seriously all comments from our guests. We could see the technical problems with the scoreboard last season and made arrangements to bring a new scoreboard to Citizens Business Bank Arena in 2018.” said Michael K. Krouse, President & CEO. “Not only our sporting competitions will be seen with better clarity, but our graduation ceremonies will benefit from this brand-new large LED screen board.” In sports every moment matters, and audiences today have higher expectations than ever before. The new scoreboard will supply vivid image detail and wider viewing angles. Overall the new scoreboard is over 23 feet by 19 feet. The LED displays have a jet-black display face allowing for unparalleled brightness and contrast levels—making for sharper images, deeper colors and a brighter display picture. The new center hung Daktronics LED Display system consists of four main video displays. Each main display will measure 11.5 feet high by 21 feet wide to bring larger-than-life imagery to fans in every seat. Connecting the corners of the main displays will be four wedge-shaped displays, each measuring 11.5 feet high by 3 feet wide. Four displays form a ring round the configuration, each measuring 2 feet high by 21 feet wide. All of these displays feature a tight 6-millimeter line spacing to bring increased resolution and image quality to viewers at every event. The main displays are capable of variable content zoning allowing each to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replay, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages. Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry- leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come. Citizens Business Bank Arena will be installing the new scoreboard before the home teams fall season begins. With a full calendar of concerts, family shows, sporting competitions, and private events the most challenging part of this new scoreboard installation is finding the time on the calendar to complete the work. Sports fans, families celebrating graduations, sponsors, and teams will be pleased with the new addition to the arena.
