CMAO Awards Host: Jason Mccoy
CMAO Awards Host: Jason McCoy We are here, ladies and gentlemen: our third annual awards show. With our inaugural conference (The Road to Independence) having been executed no less than 8 months ago, we decided to merge the conference and awards show to make them one large event. The merger was actually ignited by suggestions from members. It has taken a great deal of effort in a short amount of time to put this year’s show and conference together. We are grateful to the commitment and passion of the country music community that continue to assist our organization in Making Ontario Country Music Matter. I would like to thank Slaight Music for their continued support. Not only was Slaight Music generous, but they were there throughout the planning process, providing solutions and contributing people to serve on our committees. The Canadian music scene is extremely fortunate to have such an incredible organization - one that genuinely gives back to the community. We are also grateful for the support of the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Ontario Music Fund. The Ontario Music Fund has moved the organization light years ahead and has allowed us to provide a tremendous amount of service to our members and the country music community. Congratulations to all the nominees! The Board of Directors of the CMAO believes that a nomination by your peers is an acknowledgement of your craft and talent that should not be taken lightly. I’m truly moved and impressed by the amount of hard work, initiative and risk many of you take to try to make it in this tough-as-nails industry. -

Tebey to Release New Single ‘Happened on a Saturday Night’ June 12Th
TEBEY TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘HAPPENED ON A SATURDAY NIGHT’ JUNE 12TH LONDON UK (12th June) – Canadian Country star Tebey is set to hit the UK airwaves again with a bang, with the release of his new single ‘Happened On A Saturday Night’. The song is about the epic moments, connections, parties, life events and new love that can unfold when the work week is done. This usually 'Happens on a Saturday Night' of course! This ultra-catchy song is a modern blend of country and pop – it’s the perfect tune to have us all reminiscing about our most memorable summer nights. “Happened on a Saturday Night” is another step up in the evolution of Tebey’s music - an artist who always strives to make each release just a little bit stronger, on the cutting edge of what’s happening in the format with superior vocals and production. Tebey announced the song with his Instagram audience, who all say it’s an undeniable smash! This song has a beautiful verse and a hard-hitting chorus! An official video will be coming in July. Tebey (pronounced TĀY-bāy), as well as being one of the Canadian country stars of the moment, has written hit songs for a host of other cross genre artists, from One Direction, Cher, Pixie Lott (“All About Tonight” nominated for a Brit Award for Single of the Year), Fifth Harmony, and FLO RIDA to fellow country artists Justin Moore, Big & Rich, and many others. Residing in Nashville for over a decade, the singer, songwriter and producer has in particular enjoyed a stellar two year run since 2018 with three #1 songs as a writer: a US #1 with Justin Moore’s “Somebody Else Will”; a Canadian #1 with Gord Bamford’s “Dive Bar” and his first #1 as an artist and writer with his own single “Who’s Gonna Love You”. -
