Saxophone Proficiency Levels

These instructions can be tailored for music education and performance majors accordingly, though the goal is to have all students progress as closely as possible.

Freshman Year

Scales: Learn all major and begin looking at harmonic/melodic minor scales with clean precise technique, aiming for sixteenths at 120. A variety of practice rhythms and articulations are encouraged.
