Pour le titre, ce sont les fantastiques anglais Iain Percy, champion Olympique en Finn à Sydney et membre du défi GBR challenge (coupe Louis Vuitton) et Steve Mit- chell. Loof le suédois (champion 2001 à Medemblik) et Percy/Mitchell WC 2002 Xavier confirment la présence des anciens finnistes sur les podiums du Star. Après de bons débuts, Paulo et Vincent (38e) ont encore Xavier et Yannick : fait preuve de bons coups mais aussi de mauvais choix. -
