Administrative/Biographical History: Jim Burton is a native of Madisonville, Kentucky and a graduate of WKU, class of 1978. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon leaving WKU he worked as a photojournalist for daily newspapers in Owensboro, Kentucky as well as Tennessee, Kansas and Texas. During his years in Texas Burton taught basic photography at Texas Christian University and served as a photography consultant for the University of Texas student publication.
