WKU ATHLETICS MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Department of Athletics is to provide a broad based athletics program which emphasizes the academic and personal development of the student-athletes while upholding the principles of good sportsmanship and ethical conduct as defi ned by the NCAA, conference affi liations and the University. Fair and equitable opportunities will be a priority and will be provided for student-athletes and staff to participate in intercollegiate athletics at the Division I level regardless of gender or ethnicity.
