Nickelodeon’s Throwback Block Rebrands to ‘NickRewind’

03.18.2019

Beginning March 18, 's previously '90s-themed programming block, NickSplat, will have a brand identity and design.

Now labeled NickRewind, the nightly lineup on TeenNick will expand to include iconic content from the '80s and '00s, allowing more fans to relive their favorite childhood shows.

The programming block initially debuted in 2011 as a millennial-focused initiative after '90s fans begged for their favorite shows to resurface. After undergoing a number of rebrands (The '90s Are , The Splat, and most recently, NickSplat), Nick is now tying three disparate together with a fresh look threaded throughout its content.

NickRewind is exchanging its orange splatter mark for an internally-created spin on the objects, phrases and colors from the '80s, '90s and '00s. It'll play off its new "rewind" identity, featuring saturated, "on-air" graphics and spots that connect hit vintage shows such as Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, , Kenan and Kel and more.

Nick also is launching a dedicated NickRewind YouTube channel along with completely rebranded social media accounts. The NickRewind channel will serve as the official home for beloved '80s, '90s, and '00s cartoons and scripted shows, releasing exclusive digital content every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The programming block will continue to air nightly on TeenNick from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. ET/PT.
