Good News Center and Church (GNCC), Bhopal is an young active church in the city of Bhopal. Back in 1987, Mathews Varghese and wife Daisy along with their two year old son Ashlin came to Bhopal after completing their theological training with a specific call from God to work in this part of . The beginning was very humble and obscure, yet they walked by faith and over time received innumerable answers to their prayers. The gospel was spread amidst the people of Bhopal and amazingly many were enthusiastic to hear the good news. With consistent prayers, things started happening and the church gradually took shape. The drawing room of the house at Narayan Nagar where the Mathews’ stayed served as a place for Sunday worship for several years. In 2004, the Lord enabled for a beautiful sanctuary to be built in Misrod, where the Sunday worship service continues to be held. During the past few years GNCC has planted several other branch churches in the outskirts of the Bhopal city, with congregations meeting at Sehore, , Nehru Nagar, Neelbad, Bagmugeliya, Ayodya Nagar and few other places. The unchanging Lord was slowly changing the circumstances and the ambience of the ministry and presently GNCC is catering the various needs of this region. This ministry has now several fulltime pastors as well as many volunteer workers.
