Set in a devastated future world controlled by powerful feudal barons, INTO THE BADLANDS tells the story of a ruthless warrior, Sunny (Daniel Wu, Tai Chi Zero), and a young boy, M.K. (Aramis Knight, The Dark Knight Rises), who embark on a spiritual odyssey across a dangerous land. The Badlands, as they are known, is controlled by rival Barons who have a stronghold on all resources and enforce their rule through loyal soldiers called ‘Clippers’. One such warrior is Sunny who, demonstrating lethal proficiency in martial arts, has risen swiftly through the ranks to become Head Clipper and trusted advisor to the merciless Quinn (Marton Csokas, The Lord of the Rings). When a new Baron, The Widow (Emily Beecham, 28 Weeks Later) enters the fray, the violence escalates and Sunny encounters M.K. for the first time. As The Widow continues her campaign against Quinn, the destinies of the stoic assassin and the impetuous teenager become intertwined. In their evolution as teacher and student, each will discover his true purpose; together, they will embark on a quest that could mean the difference between chaos and enlightenment for everybody in the Badlands.
