Update: awaiting BT confirmation and removal of apparatus in the kiosk. We have enough local volunteers to support ongoing maintenance and training in CPR. Also they would like to offer a free group session during 2020 - maybe one evening for a couple of hours when they will show you the basics of the game and let you try it out!! b) Notice of public footpath diversion at Plumpton Foot. c) South Lakeland Local Plan review. Posters to hand out. d) North West Coastal Access monthly update February 2020. e) Cumbria in Bloom competition 2020 - entry forms to be submitted by 30th April 2020. f) Climate Change Conversations - series of events in Cumbria - Posters for notice boards. 1283: SLDC priorities for Parish Councils - climate change, child poverty and equalities. Discuss our potential for future involvement. 1284: Penny Bridge School update including project to record local history. 1285: Memorial plaques for bench at Spark Bridge: rules to be agreed and adopted. 1286: Official Parish notice boards. Agree action for new / refurbish existing notice boards. 1287: A590 a) Concerns raised over traffic safety issues with two fatalities in 2019 and regular blockages and diversion of traffic through parish. b) Report on event held 24/2/2020 by Highways England for road improvements from Greenodd to Ayside. c) Condition of the A590 from Newland towards Plumpton. 2 1288: Spark Bridge Traffic update - Review green road signs for Spark Bridge Village. 1289: Spark Bridge Canoeing: Need to write to them. 1290: Rent increases for Parish Council owned property. Review for 2021. 1291: Coniston and Crake Valley News. Since January 2020 this newsletter has replaced the Parish News. If the council require articles to be published then there is an annual sponsorship fee of £50.
