E A R L Y C O L L E G E P E R F O R M A N C E I N M A S S A C H U S E T T S Massachusetts is closing equity gaps by growing Early College programs. A recent study from Brown University found black and Latinx students in Massachusetts are approximately 20 percentage Massachusetts is scaling high-quality Early College programs points less likely to complete college degrees than $5.4M 25,000 white students with the same MCAS scores. A similar FY19 post-secondary degree gap exists between low- FY20 income and non-low-income students with the same FY21 (projected) MCAS scores. Term I report cards were issued on Health/PhysEd 3 November 3 to all students. The Spring 2017 MCAS results were mailed this past week. Students in the Class of 2018 who are recipients of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship Math 3 recently received notification via postal mail. The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program that provides a tuition waiver for up to eight semesters of World Language 4-5 undergraduate education at a Massachusetts state college or university. To be eligible, Fine/Performing 6 students must score in the Advanced category on one of three high school MCAS tests in Arts English Language Arts, Mathematics, or STE (Biology, Chemistry, Introductory Physics or Technology/Engineering), score in the Proficient or Advanced category on the remaining two Special Education 6 high school state assessment tests, and have a combined MCAS score on these assessments that ranks in the top 25% in their school district. For more information on the John and English 7 Abigail Adams Scholarship click here. If a student in the Class of 2018 did not qualify for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, you may quality for the Stanley Z. Koplik Certificate of Bilingual/ESL 8 Mastery Award. This scholarship also provides a tuition waiver a tuition waiver for up to eight semesters of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts state college or university.
