Above all, proper fit is paramount for protective equipment. Without proper fit, risk of injury and discomfort greatly increase. With so many catchers of different shapes and sizes, it is a must that we develop gear which can be individually customized to ensure proper fit. Our gear works with the player, not against. With fit properly dialed in, a player can direct all focus to the game and not a chest protector which keeps dropping too low.

MVP HELMET AND TRADITIONAL MASK SIZING + FITTING:

For the most accurate sizing, it is recommended to use the players hat size, found by measuring the circumference of the player’s head, and then using the chart to the left to figure out recommended model / size.

CHEST PROTECTOR SIZING + FITTING:

All-Star® chest protectors are measured from the top of the sternum to a players naval.

Depending on chest protector model, All- Star® chest protectors are available in 9, 13, 14.5, 15.5, and 16.5 inch lengths. If the player measures in between chest protector lengths it is recommended to select the longer length.

The chest protector should fit high, with the throat guard over the base of the neck.

Because the DeltaFlex™ harness is adjustable in 4 different locations you can dial in a fit that is perfect for you.

LEG GUARD SIZING + FITTING:

Best done while seated, measure from center of player’s knee cap to the top of the players cleats.

Depending on leg guard model, All-Star® leg guards are available in 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, 13, 14.5, 15.5, and 16.5 inch lengths. If the player measures in between leg guard lengths it is recommended to select the longer length.

Remember, on our Pro Se- ries and System Seven™ leg guards, please adjust both sides of the DeltaFlex™ harness for the best fit. DeltaFlex™ harness should cradle the back of the calf muscle, lining up cen- tered down the back of the calf.

BACKGROUND

In softball and baseball, it’s common for a player to position the hand inside a glove with two fingers in the glove’s pinky. This is done for numerous reasons including making a deeper pocket, to make the glove feel ‘longer’, or to help avoid the index finger sting from a caught ball. This grip style on a conventional glove leaves the Index finger empty.
